IVPN offers three paid tiers, open-source apps, and privacy features such as multi-hop routing and AntiTracker. Its Standard plan is $6 monthly or $60 yearly; higher tiers add DNS filtering, email aliases, and application-level controls. IVPN says it does not retain VPN activity logs, but its most recent and only no-logs audit was in March 2019. Its announced 2026 security audit was scheduled—not reported as completed—in the June 19, 2026 announcement.
This is a fact-based review of IVPN’s published plans and policies, not a hands-on speed, streaming, or device-compatibility test. The details below reflect IVPN’s 2026 materials and can change.
What does IVPN include?
IVPN sells VPN access in three tiers. Standard provides the VPN and its listed core features; Plus and Pro Suite add other services. Prices, feature descriptions, and refund terms here are published by IVPN, not independently verified checkout results. See IVPN’s service overview and pricing page.

IVPN advertises a 30-day refund window and lists credit card, PayPal, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Lightning, Monero, and cash as payment methods. Confirm the current terms on the pricing page before subscribing.

What the additional services do
- modDNS: DNS filtering with configurable rules.
- Mailx: Email aliases and forwarding.
- Portmaster Pro: Application-level visibility into connections and controls; IVPN lists it for Linux and Windows.
What does IVPN protect, and what does it not?
IVPN says its VPN encrypts traffic between your device and an IVPN server. That can limit what an internet provider, public Wi-Fi operator, or other local network observer can see about the connection. It changes network-level exposure; it does not make you anonymous. IVPN explicitly warns that services where you are logged in—such as a social network or search engine—can still recognize and profile activity inside their own platforms. IVPN says it operates bare-metal VPN gateways in 58 locations across 41 countries. That is the provider’s stated footprint, not an independently verified count. IVPN lists open-source apps for iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Linux, plus a configuration generator for custom setups.

Which protocols and privacy features are listed?
IVPN lists WireGuard and OpenVPN across its apps, and IKEv2/IPSec on iOS. Its help article says PPTP and L2TP/IPSec are not supported. Feature availability can vary by operating system, so check the current app documentation for the platform you use: IVPN protocol help.
IVPN also lists automatic key rotation, perfect forward secrecy, quantum-resistant WireGuard, DNS leak protection, a built-in firewall or killswitch, AntiTracker, Multi-hop, and V2Ray obfuscation. Its home page says split tunneling is available on Windows, Linux, and Android. IVPN describes Multi-hop as routing through servers in separate jurisdictions and AntiTracker as blocking domains on a predefined list. These descriptions do not establish a particular speed, blocking rate, or ability to stop every tracker.

Does IVPN keep logs, and what has been audited?
IVPN says no email is required to create an individual account, that it does not retain VPN activity logs, and that its apps and website are open source. These are provider claims. For Plus and Pro Suite, IVPN describes an “Unlinked Access” system intended to let Mailx, modDNS, and Portmaster authorize subscriptions without receiving or storing the IVPN account ID; the services overview says the flow uses a cryptographic token and hash-based verification.
Audit scope and timing matter. In an announcement dated June 19, 2026, IVPN CEO Nick Pestell said the company had scheduled its eighth annual security audit with Cure53 for two weeks in July, focused on cryptography, the privacy model, and Unlinked Access components. The announcement establishes that the audit was scheduled; it does not establish that the work was completed or provide findings. IVPN also said its last and only no-logs audit was conducted by Cure53 in March 2019, and that it would not commission further no-logs audits because an audit is a time-limited snapshot. The scheduled 2026 audit should not be described as a no-logs audit. See IVPN’s audit announcement.

Does IVPN work with streaming services?
IVPN says it does not guarantee streaming compatibility. No service-specific streaming tests are established here, so access to any particular streaming platform should not be assumed. IVPN also says it does not offer port forwarding.

IVPN says router and NAS deployments are supported, but that is not a blanket compatibility guarantee for every device. You need a VPN-compatible Wi-Fi router that supports client configuration, then should follow IVPN’s setup guide for the specific device. No particular router model is verified here.

What should Android users know?
IVPN’s Android app page reports that the app is temporarily unavailable on Google Play, while existing installs continue to work. IVPN lists APK, Accrescent, and F-Droid distribution options. This availability can change; check IVPN’s Android app page for the current status before installing.
Is IVPN worth the price?
IVPN’s value depends on whether you need its extra service layers. Standard is the straightforward choice among its own tiers if you want VPN access and listed VPN features without the additional Mailx and modDNS services. Plus adds email aliasing and DNS filtering; Pro Suite adds Portmaster Pro and raises the VPN device allowance from five to ten. Those additions matter only if you will use them.
There is no independently measured speed or streaming performance in the evidence available for this review, so a performance-based value judgment or comparison with another VPN would be unsupported. Weigh the plan against your requirements, and verify current prices, terms, and platform details directly with IVPN.
