VPN Super Unlimited is quick on nearby routes and inexpensive on some offers, but its barebones platform support and weak desktop safeguards make it difficult to recommend as an all-purpose VPN. TechRadar’s August 14, 2026 review recorded about 118.5 Mbps from the UK to the UK and 120 Mbps from the UK to the US on a 135 Mbps connection, and it reached many tested streaming libraries. However, the Windows and Mac apps had no native kill switch, the no-logs claim had not been independently audited, and several streaming services still failed.

That makes the app a plausible low-cost option for a phone user who mainly wants occasional location changes, not a strong choice for a household needing Linux, browser, router, television, or consistently hardened desktop connections. Prices also differ between the review and the provider page, so check the checkout total and renewal terms before paying.

What is VPN Super Unlimited, and who is it for?

VPN Super Unlimited is a downloadable virtual private network app with free and premium tiers. It is distributed through Google Play and Apple’s App Store. The Google Play listing names VPN Super Inc. as publisher, while Apple’s US listing names Mobile Jump Pte. Ltd. as developer; the service terms refer to both entities in connection with VPN – Super Unlimited Proxy. The differing store entities are worth noting when you check permissions, support details, or billing records.

The reviewed apps cover Windows, Android, macOS, and iOS. TechRadar found no native Linux client, browser extension, router compatibility, Amazon Fire TV app, or Apple TV app. Store descriptions and premium feature lists can change, so confirm the live listing for your device before subscribing.

The best fit is a user who values a simple mobile or desktop connection, wants to try a free tier, and can live without advanced controls. It is a poor fit if you need a kill switch on Windows or Mac, split tunneling on a desktop, a router-wide connection, or a television app. The Android listing had more than 100 million downloads when accessed, but that figure indicates distribution, not independent proof of privacy or security quality.

How much does VPN Super Unlimited cost?

Two price snapshots are documented for 2026, and they do not match. TechRadar’s August review reported lower subscription prices than the provider pricing page viewed for this article. Treat the figures as date-specific offers rather than one permanent rate.

Term TechRadar review (published August 14, 2026) Provider pricing page viewed for this article eSIM allowance shown
One month $8.79 $10.99 1 GB promotional allowance
Six months $5.59 per month, billed as $33.55 $6.99 per month, billed as $41.94 3 GB promotional allowance
12 months $4.79 per month, billed as $57.50 $5.99 per month, billed as $71.88 5 GB promotional allowance

The provider page also advertised a 30-day money-back guarantee. The review characterized its one-month offer as cheaper than the competitors it compared, while its annual price was closer to established services that offer more features. Because the provider page and the review were captured at different times, compare the amount charged today, the billing interval, and the renewal price rather than relying on a headline monthly equivalent.

The free tier is ad-supported. TechRadar reported intrusive full-screen video ads during its iOS testing. A free plan can therefore be useful for a short compatibility check, but advertising is part of the trade-off, not a minor footnote.

How fast is VPN Super Unlimited?

TechRadar’s results were strong on the tested nearby routes, but they are one reviewer’s measurements under a particular setup. The review used a 135 Mbps baseline on 5G home broadband. A data-center cloud PC could not log in to the app, so the reviewer could not use the intended standard location-testing method and instead tested from the available environment.

Route Measured speed Share of 135 Mbps baseline
UK to UK 118.5 Mbps Approximately 87.8%
UK to US 120 Mbps Approximately 87.8%

Those numbers indicate little loss in that test, especially for a nearby UK endpoint and the tested UK-to-US path. TechRadar also found long-distance routes less consistent. Distance, congestion, the selected server, time of day, and your own access network can produce a very different result, so do not treat 118.5 or 120 Mbps as a promised service level.

If speed is your priority, test the locations you will actually use during the provider’s refund window. Record an unprotected result, then repeat it with the same device, protocol, and destination. A fast nearby result does not establish good performance for a distant work server or a particular streaming region.

Which streaming services can VPN Super Unlimited unblock?

TechRadar reached a broad selection of catalogs in its tests, but the results were mixed rather than universal. It accessed multiple tested Netflix, Disney+, and DAZN regional catalogs, plus Prime Video and YouTube in some contexts. BBC iPlayer, ITVX, and 9Now also worked in the reported tests.

Channel 4 required one server change. Other combinations failed, including 7 Plus, Channel 10, TVNZ+, and some US and UK services. Streaming providers continually change their VPN detection, so a result reported in August 2026 can disappear without notice or differ by account, server, or country.

  • Use the free tier or a refundable premium period to test the exact catalog you need.
  • Try more than one server when a service displays a proxy error; the review specifically needed a switch for Channel 4.
  • Do not assume that success with one catalog transfers to another service, country, or device.
  • Check the service’s terms before using a location-changing connection to access regional content.

Is VPN Super Unlimited secure and private enough?

The main concern is not that the app lacks encryption; it is that important safeguards and independent verification are limited. TechRadar reported that the Windows and Mac clients had no native kill switch. In a simulated Windows connection drop, the reviewer observed a brief potential IP-exposure window before reconnection and received no alert.

A kill switch blocks network traffic when the encrypted tunnel fails. Without one, a short interruption can expose the regular connection to websites or services. If you need this protection on a desktop, the reviewed Windows and Mac versions do not provide it as a native control. Android and iOS feature sets should be checked in the current app because platform capabilities can change.

Split tunneling was available only on Android in the review. That means an Android user could selectively route apps, while desktop users should not assume they can exclude banking, local-network, or work applications from the tunnel.

The provider makes a no-logs claim, but TechRadar noted that it had not been verified by an independent audit. A no-logs statement about VPN browsing activity is narrower than a promise that the application collects no information at all.

Google Play’s Data safety section says the developer reports that the app may collect personal information, app activity, and other data types. It also says data is encrypted in transit and that users can request deletion. The Google Play disclosure is a developer-reported description of collection and handling, not an independent audit of the service.

The provider’s Privacy Notice was last updated July 24, 2024. It covers VPN Super Inc., Super Unlimited Inc., Free VPN Pte. Ltd., and Mobile Jump Pte. Ltd. Read that notice alongside the store disclosure: the two documents answer different questions about corporate entities, collection, retention, and deletion.

During its iOS setup, TechRadar reported a consent request involving more than 300 third-party vendors and identified possible collection of IP addresses, device identifiers, and browsing history unless the user opted out. That is the reviewer’s observation of a particular setup and may vary by region, app version, or consent choices; it should not be presented as an identical experience for every installation.

Which protocols and platforms does it support?

Protocol availability differed by operating system in TechRadar’s review. The table reflects that test, not a guarantee that every current build has the same menu.

Platform Protocols reported in the review Important limitation
Android OpenVPN and IKEv2 Split tunneling was available only on Android.
iOS OpenVPN and IKEv2 Free-tier advertising was especially intrusive in the reviewer’s iOS test.
Windows WireGuard and OpenVPN No native kill switch; a simulated drop produced a brief potential exposure.
macOS OpenVPN No native kill switch; protocol choice was narrower than on Windows.

V2Ray appeared in provider marketing but was not integrated into the reviewed apps at the time. Verify the current protocol list inside the app or store documentation rather than choosing a plan for a protocol that may still be promotional wording.

There was no reviewed support for Linux, browser extensions, routers, Amazon Fire TV, or Apple TV. A subscription therefore protects only the devices on which an official client is available; it cannot automatically cover every device on a home network.

How should you test VPN Super Unlimited before paying?

A short, controlled test reveals more than a generic speed claim. Use the following sequence while the offer is refundable or before committing to a long billing term.

  1. Confirm the publisher. In Google Play, check for VPN Super Inc.; in Apple’s US App Store, check for Mobile Jump Pte. Ltd. Compare the developer name with the privacy and terms pages before granting permissions.
  2. Install only from the official store listing. Avoid sideloaded packages that make it harder to verify the publisher, version, and requested permissions.
  3. Record a baseline. Measure your normal download speed, upload speed, latency, and public IP on the same device and network you will use with the VPN.
  4. Test nearby and distant locations. Repeat the measurements with at least one nearby endpoint and one endpoint in the country whose services you need. Save the time, protocol, and server shown by the app.
  5. Test your actual services. Sign in to the streaming, work, or communications services that matter to you. Try a second server if the first is blocked, and note whether the connection fails only at login or during playback.
  6. Check interruption behavior. On Windows or Mac, do not assume a kill switch exists. If you simulate a disconnect, avoid sensitive accounts and stop immediately if your regular connection resumes; the review found a brief potential exposure window.
  7. Review privacy choices. Read the consent screen carefully, opt out where appropriate, and inspect the store’s Data safety disclosure before deciding whether the collection terms fit your use.
  8. Check billing before confirmation. Compare the total charge with the advertised monthly equivalent, look for the billing interval, and save the refund terms and receipt.

What are VPN Super Unlimited’s main strengths and weaknesses?

Strengths

  • High speeds on the nearby routes measured by TechRadar, with 118.5 Mbps UK-to-UK and 120 Mbps UK-to-US from a 135 Mbps baseline.
  • Access to many tested Netflix, Disney+, DAZN, Prime Video, YouTube, BBC iPlayer, ITVX, and 9Now destinations in the review.
  • Apps for the four major consumer platforms: Windows, Android, macOS, and iOS.
  • A free tier for users who want to check basic connectivity before buying.
  • A 30-day money-back guarantee advertised on the provider pricing page viewed for this article.

Weaknesses

  • No native desktop kill switch in the reviewed Windows and Mac apps, with a reported potential exposure during a simulated Windows drop.
  • No independent audit verifying the no-logs claim.
  • Split tunneling limited to Android in the review.
  • No native Linux app, browser extension, router support, Amazon Fire TV app, or Apple TV app reported.
  • Long-distance speed was less consistent, and several tested streaming services failed.
  • Free-tier advertising was intrusive in the reviewer’s iOS test.
  • Privacy disclosures describe possible collection beyond VPN browsing activity, and the reported iOS consent flow involved more than 300 third-party vendors.

What should you compare before choosing it over another VPN?

Do not choose on the lowest monthly equivalent alone. Compare the service against your actual devices, threat model, destinations, and billing tolerance.

  • Device coverage: Verify every operating system, television, browser, and router you intend to use. A desktop-only or mobile-only solution can leave other traffic outside the tunnel.
  • Failure protection: Look for a native kill switch on the device where an IP leak would matter. A feature on Android does not compensate for its absence on Windows or Mac.
  • Privacy evidence: Separate marketing language from independent audits, store disclosures, privacy notices, and the data categories listed during setup.
  • Route-specific performance: Test your country pair and normal time of day. A strong nearby result cannot predict a congested long-distance route.
  • Streaming reliability: Test each service separately and expect detection systems to change.
  • Total cost: Compare the amount billed today, the term length, renewal conditions, refund window, and any promotional eSIM allowance.
  • Free-tier trade-offs: Decide whether advertising and consent requests are acceptable for your intended use, rather than treating “free” as equivalent to a paid privacy product.

Is VPN Super Unlimited worth paying for in 2026?

Paying can make sense for a budget-conscious mobile user who wants a simple app, values the tested speed, and accepts that streaming and platform coverage are uneven. The provider page’s refund guarantee gives you a way to test your own routes, but you must check the actual charge and conditions at checkout.

It is not a strong general-purpose recommendation for users who work on Windows or Mac and require a kill switch, for households that need router or television coverage, or for anyone who wants an independently audited privacy claim. The combination of missing desktop safeguards, limited platform reach, unaudited logging claims, and inconsistent streaming means the low price buys a narrower product rather than a full-featured alternative.

In practical terms, treat VPN Super Unlimited as a fast, basic connection utility and evaluate it against your specific device and service list. If any missing control is essential, choose a service that documents that control and its privacy verification before you subscribe.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to create an account to use VPN Super Unlimited?

The store wording describes the service as requiring no account or sign-up, but app requirements can change with updates, regions, or subscription purchases. Check the current Google Play or App Store listing and the in-app checkout screen before assuming anonymous use.

Does a large download count prove that the VPN is trustworthy?

No. The Android listing’s 100-million-plus download figure is a cumulative distribution measure and does not show how many people remain active, whether connections are private, or whether the no-logs claim has been audited. Use the privacy notice, store disclosures, and independent verification as separate evidence.

Can I use the free tier to check whether my streaming service works?

You can use it for a preliminary compatibility check, but the review found intrusive full-screen video advertising on iOS and mixed access across services. A successful free-tier test is not a promise that the same catalog will remain available after an app update or server change.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Where can I request deletion of information associated with the app?

Google Play’s Data safety disclosure says deletion can be requested. Follow the current store instructions and the provider’s Privacy Notice, last updated July 24, 2024, because the responsible corporate entity and request process may depend on your region.
