InMotion dedicated hosting can be worth the cost when your workload needs an entire server, dedicated CPU and memory, root access, and possibly hands-on setup or management. It is a weaker fit for a small site that will leave most of that hardware unused, a buyer focused on the lowest long-term price, or a workload that requires Windows Server.
The current USA plan page lists unmanaged 12-month prices from $35 per month for Aspire, renewing at $49.99, to $329.99 per month for CC-2000, renewing at $395.99. Judge the offer by the renewal rate, hardware, support and management included—not the introductory price alone. Prices and plan details can change, so confirm them at checkout.
What does InMotion dedicated hosting provide?
A dedicated server reserves the server’s hardware for your workloads rather than dividing it among customers as a typical shared-hosting plan does. That can give you predictable access to CPU, memory and storage, along with root access for server-level configuration. It also means you are paying for a much larger resource pool than many smaller sites need.
InMotion’s USA plan page lists five unmanaged tiers, plus higher-priced managed Premier Care versions for four of them. The tiers range from an older Xeon E3-class system with 16GB of memory to a dual-Xeon system with 256GB. Mainstream plans advertise 1Gbps unmetered bandwidth; CC-2000 advertises bandwidth in a 3Gbps–10Gbps range. How much does an InMotion dedicated server cost after renewal?
The official USA page lists these unmanaged prices for 12-month terms. Its published renewal price is the more useful figure for estimating ongoing cost; introductory pricing is not a permanent monthly rate.

Choose against the workload you expect to run, rather than assuming the biggest server is automatically the best value. The plan page provides hardware specifications, but the available evidence does not include independently measured dedicated-server performance results.
Aspire: a lower-cost entry point
Aspire combines a Xeon E3-1246 v3-class processor with 16GB DDR3 RAM and a 960GB SSD. It may be worth comparing for a modest production workload that genuinely needs a whole server, but its listed hardware is substantially older and smaller than the higher tiers. Check whether that processor, memory and storage match your application’s requirements before selecting it based on its $35 introductory price.

Essential: more memory and storage
Essential moves to a Xeon E-2134, 64GB RAM and a 2TB SSD. It is a notable step up in memory and drive capacity from Aspire, without a listed increase between its introductory and renewal monthly prices. The listed hardware does not specify a mirrored drive configuration for this tier.
Advanced and Elite: mirrored storage, with Elite adding NVMe
Advanced lists a Xeon E-2176G, 64GB RAM and mirrored 1.92TB SSDs. Elite lists a Xeon E-2388G, 128GB RAM and mirrored 1.92TB NVMe SSDs. Elite’s published specifications therefore add memory and identify the drives as NVMe, while both tiers specify mirrored storage. The page does not quantify application performance or explain every configuration detail behind the mirrored drives, so verify storage and recovery expectations for your use case.

CC-2000 lists dual Xeon Silver 4214 processors, 256GB RAM and mirrored 2TB NVMe SSDs. It also advertises 3Gbps–10Gbps bandwidth and 25 IPs, compared with the 1Gbps unmetered bandwidth and 5–16 IP range advertised across mainstream tiers. This tier makes sense only if the workload can use the additional compute, memory, network capacity or IP allocation; otherwise, it may mean paying for resources that sit idle.
What is included with managed Premier Care?
InMotion’s Premier Care bundles list more than a control panel. The listed items are cPanel Dedicated Premier, APS Priority Support, Launch Assist onboarding and server setup, Monarx security, backup storage, and one hour per month of InMotion Solutions Consulting.
Those inclusions may matter if your team wants assistance with launch and server administration rather than managing every setup task alone. They do not establish that all ongoing system administration, application maintenance or incident response is covered. Before buying, ask which tasks are included, what counts as a support request, how backup storage is configured, and what the response and escalation process is for an urgent outage. Is InMotion a good choice for a high-traffic website?
It can be a reasonable candidate when traffic is only one part of a workload that also benefits from dedicated CPU, memory, storage or multiple IPs. Higher tiers could suit busy business sites, agencies, databases or multi-site deployments if those workloads can use the capacity. But “high traffic” alone does not establish that a dedicated server will be faster: application design, caching, database behavior, network demand and server configuration also affect what a site can handle.
There is no independently measured dedicated-server benchmark in the available evidence to predict how InMotion’s plans will perform for a particular site. A Tom’s Hardware review from February 2025 criticized performance and support in its verdict, but reviewed VPS/shared hosting rather than these dedicated servers. It reported mediocre performance, slow support, SSL trouble on its VPS site and hidden fees while also praising specifications and control-panel software. Treat that review as a reason to investigate value and support carefully—not as a dedicated-server test result.
For a consequential launch or migration, compare the server’s specifications with your current resource use and test your own application under a realistic workload before moving critical traffic. A plan’s CPU model and RAM are useful selection facts, not a promise of a particular request rate or page-load time.
How should you read InMotion’s uptime claims?
InMotion’s official pricing page states “99.99% Uptime Guaranteed.” TechRadar’s 2026 roundup attributes a 99.999% uptime guarantee to InMotion. Those are different published claims, not independently measured availability figures; check the exact guarantee wording and any conditions that apply to your selected plan.

InMotion’s status page listed dedicated servers under maintenance on October 21, 2026, and separately records resolved maintenance incidents. That establishes that maintenance events occur, not how much downtime customers experienced or what the service’s measured uptime was over a year. A guarantee and an incident log answer different questions: one states a provider commitment, while the other reports service events. Neither substitutes for a representative, independent measurement of dedicated-server uptime.
Can you run Windows Server on InMotion dedicated hosting?
TechRadar’s 2026 dedicated-hosting roundup describes InMotion’s dedicated hosting as Linux-only and says Windows is not supported. If your application requires Windows Server, this is a material compatibility issue: do not order based on the assumption that root access means you can install any operating system.
