  • Touchscreen
  • Fair battery life. Lightweight

Cons

  • Slippery touchpad
  • Mediocre speakers

HP 15T: At First Glance

At first glance, the HP 15T looks pretty thin and gorgeous. HP upgraded this laptop with an awesome design.

HP 15T is a laptop that effortlessly fits into tech conversations. Its price seems to be fair considering its level of efficiency.

Moreover, this model has a better design quality than most HP products. This HP 15T laptop also looks more capable.

HP 15T: Design, Dimension, and Weight

The HP 15T is a good looking laptop with impeccable finishes. Technically, you could say it is an Ultrabook because of similar features like the CPU.

However, it isn’t as light as the more premium Ultrabooks available for purchase. But then, it is undoubtedly an attractive laptop.

Moreover, the HP 15T lid feels a bit too thin and, therefore, flexy. You can almost open the laptop with one hand.

As a result, it feels very fragile. However, you should expect that of a product with its price point.

It has a very smooth matte silver finish across its body. Surprisingly, this cool body design extends over the regular touchpad spot.

Aside from the glaring keyboard (of course it should be), you will find out that HP designed the touchpad area uniquely to blend with the rest of the plastic deck.

The HP 15T measures 358.3 x 242 x 18 mm and weighs 1746 g. Its 15.6-inch screen is a factor of this size.

You also get a nice selection of ports, including an RJ45 jack, an HDMI, and a USB Type C port (all on the left). Moreover, you have the power connector, 2 USB ports, and a full-size SD card slot on the right side.

Finally, the HP 15T scores an 8 in this design review due to little shortcomings with the touchpad that tends to get too slippery.

HP 15T: Processor (CPU) Performance

In terms of processor, HP equipped this laptop with an Intel Core i7-1065G7. It also offers a considerable amount of configuration options.

Moreover, this is where this computer exceptionally excels. It performs very well with a good speed for its price point.

For instance, it can handle editors used for coding and also manage simple productivity operations.

Moreover, it’s heat management when handling these operations is very impressive. If you are pushing the CPU to its full potential, it does well.

It hovers around 2.2 GHz during heavy tasks, which is a bit over its base clock speed. At this clock speed, the laptop’s CPU temperature stays between 70-80 degrees Celcius.

However, the laptop’s performance begins to drag when you overexert the CPU. But if you are switching between tabs and programs, it does an excellent job.

Finally, in my HP 15T CPU review, it scores a nine.

HP 15T: Memory (RAM) Performance

The HP 15T offers configurable RAM options. It comes with either 12 GB or 16 GB.

It has enough horsepower to do the heavy lifting. It, therefore, runs tasks like regular computational operations or modeling works such as video editing with ease.

Moreover, everyday tasks such as email, web browsing, media are all handled in a breeze.

The HP 15T offers a remarkable RAM performance for multitasking and staying productive. Its performance gives the impression that performance and stability were all in mind during this machine’s construction.

The HP 15T scores an 8 in this review because of its good multitasking ability and general speedy performance.

HP 15T: Storage Options and Performance

The HP 15T has an M.2 SSD drive type with a maximum size of 1 TB. HP also provides a variety of configurations in this aspect.

Nonetheless, its storage is not bad for a laptop of its range. After all, there are different options made available.

Moreover, its 1 TB standard hard drive allows you to install as many games and media files as you want.

Also, it allows you to expand your storage with a multi-format SD media card. This feature feels even better because you can move around with your media files that aren’t internally stored.

The HP 15T storage options are undeniably okay. It, therefore, scores an 8 in this storage review.

HP 15T: Graphics Card Performance

The HP 15T features an Intel UHD Graphics or Intel Iris Plus Graphic. This GPU is good enough to run many games.

It runs lightweight games at killer frame rates. If you lower the setting of high-end games to medium play at 1080p, you will get playable frame rates.

The HP 15T ran heavy games like Fortnight at 80 Fps. On Doom, you can get playable frame rates of 31 Fps as long as you keep the game set at medium level.

However, one little problem is the fan noise when playing heavy games. The HP 15T’s fan is regulated with a bio setting that turns it on when the machine is overexerted.

It scores an 8 in this graphics card review because of its good performance.

HP 15T: Battery Life and Performance

The HP 15T comes with a 3-cell, 41 Wh Lithium-ion prismatic battery. It delivers an estimated 9 hours of battery life.

When it comes to battery life, the HP 15T is even better than I expected. It lasted 9 hours with mixed usage and 5 hours with video streaming on YouTube.

Moreover, the battery supports fast charging. The laptop charges up to 40% from 0% in 30 minutes.

Furthermore, the HP 15T charges up to 90% from 0% in 90 minutes. However, it would have been nice if the battery was a bit bigger. Reason being that the laptop drains a lot faster with heavy usage.

In my HP 15T battery performance review, it scores an 8 for its good battery life.
