Watch official Magic: The Gathering set debuts on the Magic YouTube channel or at twitch.tv/magic. Wizards of the Coast says the Star Trek debut is scheduled for October 20, 2026, on both channels, followed by the WeeklyMTG aftershow. If you miss the broadcast, use the channel replay and the set’s official Card Image Gallery; the gallery is the most reliable way to assemble a complete spoiler.

The fastest way to find the next MTG reveal

Start with the official Magic: The Gathering YouTube channel and twitch.tv/magic. These are the two destinations Wizards names for set-debut broadcasts. The debut normally provides the first concentrated look at a new set’s cards, mechanics, characters and special Booster Fun treatments.

For the next major example, Wizards lists the Star Trek debut for October 20, 2026. The broadcast will run on both official channels and will be followed by a WeeklyMTG aftershow. The event listing on the relevant YouTube or Twitch page is the authority for the start time. Official pages provide event dates, but they do not establish one universal time-zone rule for every future set.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

After the debut, previews spread across a scheduled group of partner creators, publications, regional Wizards accounts and stores. To see every card in one place, use the set-specific Card Image Gallery. Wizards says the gallery is updated each weekday morning with cards previewed on previous days; it does not include that same day’s new previews. Once the preview run ends, the gallery becomes the practical full spoiler.

Where to watch live

Official Magic YouTube channel

The official Magic YouTube channel is the primary video destination for debut premieres and replays. A YouTube premiere is useful if you want the video, presentation and chat in one interface, or if you prefer to return to the recording later. Follow or bookmark the channel so a scheduled premiere is easier to find in your subscriptions and notifications.

When an event has finished, look for the completed video on the same channel. Wizards’ Edge of Eternities guidance shows the normal pattern: an on-demand video was available after the debut stream. That makes YouTube the simplest fallback when a live start time is inconvenient.

Twitch at twitch.tv/magic

twitch.tv/magic carries the live debut and is also the stated destination for the WeeklyMTG aftershow. Twitch is the better fit if you want a live-channel experience and the conversation that develops while the reveal is happening. Open the channel’s event listing before the broadcast rather than relying on a time copied from an older set announcement.

WeeklyMTG aftershow

The aftershow is part of the launch sequence, not a separate spoiler season. For the Star Trek event, Wizards specifically says WeeklyMTG follows the debut. Stay on the live channel after the main presentation if you want immediate discussion and additional context while the cards are still being introduced.

How an MTG spoiler season is organized

1. A debut establishes the set

The debut is the anchor event. Wizards uses it to introduce the set’s identity and show a first group of cards, mechanics, characters and treatments. It is designed for viewing, so cards are presented with explanations and narrative context rather than as an unannotated list.

A debut is therefore the quickest route to understanding what a set is trying to do. It is not necessarily the complete spoiler. Expect more cards to appear after the broadcast.

2. Scheduled partners reveal additional cards

After the debut, Wizards distributes preview days among outside publications, creator channels, regional accounts and stores. The published Star Trek schedule names IGN, PC Gamer, Polygon, DailyMTG, Wizards regional accounts and creator channels. Secrets of Strixhaven used a similar arrangement, assigning days to community outlets and creators.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

These previews can be the fastest way to see a particular card on its assigned day. The trade-off is fragmentation: one outlet may show a single card, another may publish a mechanics explanation, and a regional account may post at a different hour. Treat the partner schedule as a discovery map, then use the official gallery as your checklist.

  • What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.

3. The Card Image Gallery consolidates earlier reveals

The official Card Image Gallery is the cleanest catch-up tool. Wizards says it is refreshed every weekday morning with cards that were previewed on previous days. Because the current day’s previews are intentionally absent, a card announced only hours earlier may not appear until the following morning.

This cadence explains why a gallery can look incomplete during the middle of preview season even when many cards have already been shown publicly. After the final preview day, use the completed gallery to verify the entire card list rather than counting cards from social posts or trying to reconstruct the season manually.

4. DailyMTG supplies the schedule and context

DailyMTG is Wizards’ official hub for announcements, stories, podcasts, videos and gallery links. Check the set announcement there for the partner-preview calendar, mechanics articles and links to the relevant gallery. The schedule is more dependable than a fan-maintained list because it reflects the publisher’s current assignments and revisions.

The following dates come from Wizards’ published Star Trek guide. The debut and tabletop release are separate milestones, so a card shown during the stream may not be available in physical products immediately.

Milestone Date or destination What it means
Set debut October 20, 2026 Official reveal broadcast on the Magic YouTube channel and twitch.tv/magic, followed by WeeklyMTG.
Complete Card Image Gallery October 30, 2026 Wizards’ listed date for the complete gallery, after the scheduled preview run.
Tabletop release November 13, 2026 The date Wizards gives for the set’s tabletop release.
Named preorder destinations Local game stores, TCGplayer, Amazon and other Magic retailers Retail channels explicitly named in the Star Trek guide; availability, region and price can vary.

The broader 2026 lineup announcement places Lorwyn Eclipsed in January, Secrets of Strixhaven in April, Marvel Super Heroes in June, The Hobbit in August, Reality Fracture in October and Star Trek in November. Those month-level markers are planning context, not a substitute for the current DailyMTG announcement. Wizards can revise preview dates, so use the active set page for exact day-by-day information.

Step-by-step: watch a debut and build the full spoiler

  1. Follow both official video destinations. Follow or bookmark the Magic YouTube channel and twitch.tv/magic. Using both gives you a second live route if one service is inconvenient.
  2. Open the event listing before the scheduled date. Find the specific premiere or live event on the channel page and use its displayed start time. Do not assume that a time from a previous set uses the same timezone or broadcast hour.
  3. Watch the debut live when possible. The live presentation gives you the initial card reveals, explanations of mechanics and characters, and any announced Booster Fun treatments. Remain on the stream for the WeeklyMTG aftershow when one is scheduled.
  4. Use the replay if you miss the broadcast. Return to the official YouTube channel for the completed video, or check the Twitch channel for its available video-on-demand recording. A replay preserves the presentation order without requiring you to follow multiple social accounts.
  5. Open the set-specific Card Image Gallery each weekday. During preview season, check the gallery in the morning. It contains cards previewed on earlier days, not the cards scheduled for that same day.
  6. Read the DailyMTG announcement and calendar. Use the official announcement to identify which publication, creator, store or regional account is assigned to each preview day. Follow a partner link when you want the earliest appearance of a particular card or the article accompanying it.
  7. Use mechanics and story coverage for context. DailyMTG articles, videos, podcasts and the Magic Story Podcast can explain how a mechanic works or why a card matters in the set’s narrative. These materials complement the image gallery; they are not replacements for the card list.
  8. Confirm completion on the final-gallery date. Once Wizards lists the gallery as complete, use it as the definitive visual checklist for the preview season. This avoids omissions caused by scattered posts, deleted social updates or cards revealed in different regions.

What to do if you missed the live reveal

Missed the entire debut

Start with the official YouTube replay because it presents the reveal in its original sequence. Then open the set’s Card Image Gallery and compare what you saw with the cards added on later weekdays. This two-part approach gives you both the explanation and the exhaustive list.

Joined during the preview season

Do not work backward through every social post. Open DailyMTG’s announcement first, note the current preview day, and then use the gallery’s prior-day entries as your baseline. Visit partner pages only for the dates that are absent from the gallery. The next weekday update should absorb those earlier reveals.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Finished before the gallery is complete

Mark Wizards’ stated completion date on your calendar and return then. For Star Trek, the guide lists October 30, 2026. Until that date, an apparently missing card may simply be scheduled for a later preview or waiting for the next morning’s gallery refresh.

Timing, time zones and availability

The event date is not the same thing as a universal start time. Wizards’ official pages reviewed for these launches identify dates but do not establish one permanent timezone rule for all future events. Use the time displayed on the specific YouTube or Twitch event listing, and check again near the broadcast in case the listing changes.

Partner previews also need a little flexibility. A schedule may identify the calendar day without making every outlet publish at the same minute. Regional accounts can post according to local operating hours, while a creator may release a video later in the assigned day. If a promised card is not visible immediately, check the outlet’s own post and the next gallery update before assuming the schedule was cancelled.

Availability also varies by format and location. A card can be previewed online weeks before the tabletop release. For Star Trek, Wizards gives November 13, 2026 as the tabletop release date and separately names local game stores, TCGplayer, Amazon and other Magic retailers for preorders. Those destinations do not guarantee identical inventory, prices or regional availability.

How to avoid common spoiler-season mistakes

  • Relying on one social post: A single post can show only one card or omit rules context. Use the DailyMTG schedule and final gallery for verification.
  • Expecting the gallery to show today’s card immediately: Wizards’ stated update pattern covers previous-day previews and updates on weekday mornings.
  • Treating the debut as the complete spoiler: The debut introduces the set, while partner outlets reveal additional cards afterward.
  • Using an old schedule: Preview assignments and dates can change. Open the current set announcement instead of copying a calendar from an earlier season.
  • Confusing reveal date with release date: Online previews are announcements; tabletop availability follows the release schedule.
  • Assuming every event uses the same start time: Read the event listing for the particular broadcast and its displayed timezone.
  • Counting cards from scattered posts: Deleted, region-specific or delayed posts make manual totals unreliable. The completed Card Image Gallery is the better confirmation.

Using the 2026 schedule to plan ahead

The 2026 lineup gives viewers a rough sequence of major releases, but it does not replace individual set announcements. If you follow several sets, create one bookmark for the DailyMTG announcements area and separate bookmarks for each set’s Card Image Gallery. This keeps the January-to-November lineup manageable without mixing one set’s preview calendar with another’s.

For a set that interests you most, record three separate milestones: the debut broadcast, the gallery-completion date and the tabletop release. The first tells you when to watch, the second tells you when the spoiler is exhaustive, and the third tells you when products are scheduled to arrive. Keeping those milestones distinct prevents the most common timing error—assuming that a reveal date means cards are already available to buy or play.

Bottom line for following MTG reveals online

Use the official Magic YouTube channel or twitch.tv/magic for the live debut, stay for WeeklyMTG when it follows the broadcast, and use DailyMTG plus the Card Image Gallery to track everything that comes afterward. The live stream gives you the announcement experience; the gallery gives you the complete, checkable spoiler.
