Select your country, then watch through the listed provider’s official app or website. Before the game, confirm that the service carries that exact event in your location and check any blackout and subscription terms. There is no universal channel or stream: sports rights vary by country, event and season.
Find the authorized stream for your country
- Open the official competition website. Look for “Where to watch,” “Broadcasters” or a similar page.
- Select your country. Rights are territorial, so a provider listed for one country may not be authorized or available in another.
- Check the season and event. Confirm that the listing covers the current season and the specific match or event you want.
- Go directly to the named provider. Use its official website or app and check the event page for live, replay or highlights availability and any subscription requirement.
Official listings show how much availability can differ. UEFA’s 2026/27 Champions League broadcaster page lists rights by territory; its U.S. listing names Paramount+, TUDN and DAZN. The Premier League’s broadcaster page covers its 2025/26–2027/28 rights window by country. These are examples of how to find a local provider, not recommendations for viewers everywhere. Rights directories can change, so check the applicable season and event rather than relying on an old listing.
Know what a league streaming pass includes
Some leagues sell streaming access directly. For example, NBA League Pass describes live and on-demand coverage of out-of-market games, but it does not mean every game is available to every subscriber. The NBA’s League Pass service information and availability page identify regional exclusions and U.S. and Canadian blackout or other restrictions. Check the game you want before subscribing; “out-of-market” coverage is not the same as unrestricted access.
Check blackouts, location and viewing format
Sports rights holders may grant exclusive distribution rights within a territory, and content can be geoblocked to respect those agreements. Use the authorized service listed for your actual country and read its terms for the specific event. A service may be legitimate while still being unable to show a particular game in your location. Live coverage, delayed viewing, replays and highlights can also have different availability.

Do not treat a VPN as a way to defeat a blackout or licensing restriction. A device or connection does not change which broadcaster holds rights in your location.
Use legitimate apps and protect yourself from piracy risks
Once you have identified the authorized provider, install its app from the provider’s official site or your device’s official app store, or watch on its official website. Avoid unofficial stream aggregators, sideloaded piracy apps and links posted in social comments. A VPN, antivirus product or ad blocker does not make an unauthorized stream legal or guarantee that it is safe.

WIPO reports that 65% of people who access illegally streamed content had experienced cybersecurity issues, attributing the figure to Creative Content Australia; the WIPO page does not state the study year. This is a reported finding about that group, not a prediction that every visitor to an illegal stream will be infected or defrauded. In a September 11, 2026 announcement, CANAL+ and LALIGA also identified personal-data theft, malware and fraud as risks associated with illegal services. That is a rights-holder statement about risks, not a measured incidence rate.

You may already have a suitable smart TV, phone, tablet, computer or console. If you want to use a television without a supported app built in, a streaming device can run compatible apps, but it does not provide a sports subscription or change territorial rights. Amazon’s Fire TV support guidance explains that live viewing uses supported apps and that some require paid subscriptions. The device is optional; confirm compatibility with your chosen broadcaster before buying anything.

Compare legitimate services before paying
- Local authorization: Is the service listed as a rights holder for your country and the relevant season?
- Exact event: Does it carry the match you want, and is it subject to a local or out-of-market restriction?
- Viewing format: Is the event live, delayed, or available only as a replay or highlights?
- Device support: Does the provider offer an app or browser option that works on your screen?
- Price and terms: Check the provider’s current price, trial or cancellation terms, and any additional subscription requirement directly before signing up.
