Halo Fest 2026 takes place in Seattle from December 11 through December 13, 2026. The December 11 concert is at Benaroya Hall; the December 12–13 convention is at the Seattle Convention Center. For the HCS Invitational, watch the HCS YouTube channel, twitch.tv/hcs, or twitch.tv/hcs_red. Halo Waypoint is the authoritative place for schedule changes, while the Halo Fest mobile app is intended to provide the floor plan, complete schedule, personal schedule planning, and timed meet-and-greet registration.
What Halo Fest 2026 includes
Halo Fest is a three-day event with two distinct parts: a concert on Friday, December 11, and a convention on Saturday and Sunday, December 12–13. The event is in Seattle, so the in-person program and its online coverage should be treated separately. A ticket or venue admission is relevant to attending in person; it is not automatically required to watch the announced esports streams online.
Tashi, Halo Esports Lead, described the event as “a three-day event spanning December 11-13, 2026” made up of “two components: the Concert and the Convention.” The convention is expected to combine HCS competition with open tournaments, GDQ speedruns, panels, and programming on the Main and Community stages. The exact broadcast plan for every non-esports segment has not been published in one complete grid, so use the latest official update rather than assuming that every room or stage will have a live feed.

Where to watch the HCS Invitational online
Every HCS Invitational group-play and bracket-stage match is scheduled to broadcast on all three official destinations:
- HCS YouTube channel
- twitch.tv/hcs
- twitch.tv/hcs_red
Tashi stated that “all of the action will be broadcasted from the HCS YouTube as well as twitch.tv/hcs and twitch.tv/hcs_red.” This applies specifically to the Invitational’s group and bracket matches. It should not be read as confirmation that the concert, every panel, or every convention stage will appear on the same feeds.
How to open the official match stream
- Choose a destination. Open the HCS YouTube channel or one of the two official Twitch channels. Twitch viewers can use either the main HCS channel or HCS Red; both are listed for Invitational coverage.
- Check the current schedule before the match. Start with the newest Halo Fest update on Halo Waypoint. Match order and start times can change as the event approaches, so an old social post or fan-made calendar should not be your final reference.
- Sign in if you want platform features. A signed-in Twitch or YouTube account can make it easier to follow a channel, receive notifications, or return to a stream. Account features are optional for simply opening a public broadcast.
- Confirm that you are watching the live feed. Look for the live indicator and current program information. If a channel page shows an earlier video instead, return to the channel’s live section or use the alternate official destination.
- Use the other official feed if necessary. If one service is buffering, unavailable on your device, or difficult to access, switch between HCS YouTube, twitch.tv/hcs, and twitch.tv/hcs_red rather than relying on an unofficial restream.
- Return for bracket play. The Invitational has both group-play and bracket-stage matches, and both phases are covered by the announced official feeds. Recheck the schedule when the tournament moves from one phase to the next.
The three destinations carry the same announced competition scope, but their interfaces differ. Twitch is useful if you already follow HCS there; YouTube may be preferable if you want to use YouTube’s playback controls or account history. The official announcement does not identify one service as the exclusive or superior feed.

Invitational field and prize pool
The HCS Invitational includes eight invited teams and has a $150,000 prize pool. The announced team count is a field size, not a complete list of team names; invited-team details can change as the event approaches, so verify the latest Halo Waypoint update for the current roster.
Open competitions
Open competitions add $50,000 across multiple Halo games. They are separate from the eight-team Invitational field. The available official information does not provide one universal stream schedule for every open bracket, so check the event schedule and the HCS esports hub for the competition’s current match information and video links.
HCS esports hub
The HCS esports hub is the official home for HCS news and events. It also links to official video-on-demand material and gear information. Use it for competition news and recorded matches, but use the newest Halo Fest update or app when you need the convention’s floor plan or a detailed on-site timetable.
Where to find the official Halo Fest schedule
Halo Waypoint: the authoritative update source
Begin with the Halo Fest section of Halo Waypoint and select the newest update. The October 2026 recap links the announcement, competition, artist, venue, and contest posts. That makes it a better source than a repost that may omit a time change or a newly announced activity.
When checking a schedule page, look at its publication date and confirm that it covers December 11–13, 2026. Keep the page available on the day you watch; schedule corrections and additional broadcast details may be posted as the event nears.
The Halo Fest mobile app
The mobile app is intended to carry the full floor plan and full event schedule. It is also designed to let you build a personalized schedule and register for timed meet-and-greet sessions. Tashi described it as providing the “full floor plan” and a “full event schedule” that users can customize into a personal plan.
Use the app when you are deciding between simultaneous activities at the Seattle Convention Center. A personal schedule can help you mark the stages, panels, tournaments, and meet-and-greets you want to attend without treating the public web announcement as a complete room-by-room timetable.

How to follow programming beyond esports
The convention is expected to include more than HCS matches. The announced categories include open competitions, GDQ speedruns, panels, and Main Stage and Community Stage programming. However, the official recap says the broadcast programming for the Main and Community stages will be released later. The concert and GDQ segments likewise do not have a single complete broadcast grid in the published information.
- Identify the program type. Decide whether you are looking for an Invitational match, an open tournament, a speedrun, a panel, a Main Stage segment, a Community Stage segment, or the concert.
- Check the newest Halo Waypoint update. Use it to see whether that program has an announced stream, an in-person time, or a later broadcast notice.
- Open the app for detailed convention planning. The app is the intended source for the floor plan, complete schedule, personal schedule tools, and timed meet-and-greet registration.
- Do not assume the HCS feeds carry every stage. The three announced HCS destinations are confirmed for Invitational group and bracket matches. Other programming needs its own schedule confirmation.
- Recheck close to the event. Stage broadcast information is schedule-dependent, and the official pages may add or change details before the convention opens.
Concert viewing and attendance details
The concert is the first component of Halo Fest and is scheduled for Friday, December 11, at Benaroya Hall. The current official recap lists its hours as 7:00–9:30 p.m. Pacific Time. That is an in-person venue program time; the available announcement does not establish a dedicated public livestream for the concert.
If your goal is to watch rather than attend, look for a later official broadcast announcement instead of assuming that the HCS YouTube or Twitch channels will carry the concert. If you plan to attend, use the latest official Halo Waypoint information for ticket and access details because those details are separate from the online match feeds.
Planning around Pacific Time
All published times in the current recap are Pacific Time. Convert them to your local time before creating reminders, particularly for the Friday concert and early convention activities. Your calendar application should identify the event’s time zone explicitly; do not enter a Pacific Time start as an unlabelled local time.
- For the concert, set a reminder before the 7:00 p.m. Pacific start if you are watching for a later announcement or traveling to Benaroya Hall.
- For convention attendance, distinguish the 9:30 a.m. VIP door time from the 10:00 a.m. general-admission door time.
- For Sunday, leave room for the earlier 7:30 p.m. closing when arranging travel or a final stream session.
- For match viewing, use the match listing’s current time rather than inferring a start from the venue’s opening or closing hour.
The venue hours are boundaries for the convention day, not a complete list of match start times. A tournament round can begin after doors open and finish before the building closes.

|---|---|---|
| Watch Invitational group or bracket matches remotely | HCS YouTube, twitch.tv/hcs, or twitch.tv/hcs_red | Official live coverage of every announced Invitational group-play and bracket-stage match |
| Plan convention activities on site | Halo Fest mobile app | Floor plan, full schedule, personal schedule planning, and timed meet-and-greet registration |

Venue programming and ticket access differ from free online broadcast destinations. Confirm current ticket, team-pass, and entry details on the official Halo Waypoint pages before making travel arrangements. The published material does not establish that a convention admission ticket is needed to open an online HCS stream.
Practical stream setup
Before the first match
- Save the three official viewing destinations in your browser or streaming-device favorites.
- Follow or subscribe to your chosen channel if you want platform notifications, but do not rely on notifications as your only schedule source.
- Check that your browser, television app, or mobile app can play a live YouTube or Twitch feed before the event.
- Use a stable internet connection and close unnecessary high-bandwidth downloads during a match.
- Keep Halo Waypoint open in a second browser tab or on another device so you can check schedule changes without leaving the stream.
If a stream does not appear
- Refresh the channel page and confirm that the event date and program are correct.
- Check the other two official destinations. The Invitational is announced for all three, so a temporary issue on one service does not necessarily mean the match was cancelled.
- Look at the newest Halo Waypoint update for a time change, delayed round, or replacement broadcast notice.
- For a panel, speedrun, concert, or stage segment, consult the app and latest schedule instead of assuming an HCS match feed should be live.
- If you miss the live window, use the official video-on-demand links provided through the HCS esports hub when a recording is available.
If the schedule and stream disagree
Prioritize the newest dated official update, then verify the channel’s live listing. A fan calendar, repost, or search result can retain an earlier time after an official change. The app may show a more detailed room schedule than a public announcement, while the HCS channel page shows whether a particular match is currently live.
What has not been announced as one complete grid
There is no single published broadcast table covering every Main Stage appearance, Community Stage segment, concert moment, GDQ speedrun, panel, and open-competition match. That is why the schedule should be checked by program type and date. The official recap specifically indicates that Main and Community Stage broadcast programming will be released later.
This limitation does not affect the announced HCS Invitational coverage: group-play and bracket-stage matches are scheduled for HCS YouTube, twitch.tv/hcs, and twitch.tv/hcs_red. It does mean you should not promise yourself that any other category will be live on those channels until Halo Waypoint or the app lists it.
A concise Halo Fest viewing checklist
- Mark December 11–13, 2026, in your calendar and set the time zone to Pacific Time for the published event hours.
- For the concert, note Benaroya Hall and the 7:00–9:30 p.m. Pacific schedule; wait for an official notice before assuming there is an online feed.
- For convention attendance, note the Seattle Convention Center, the VIP and general-admission door times, and each day’s closing time.
- For HCS Invitational matches, save the HCS YouTube channel, twitch.tv/hcs, and twitch.tv/hcs_red.
- Use the newest Halo Waypoint Halo Fest update as your change log and source for later broadcast announcements.
- Install or open the Halo Fest mobile app for the floor plan, full schedule, personal schedule planning, and timed meet-and-greet registration.
- Use the HCS esports hub for official HCS news and available VOD links.
- When a program is not an Invitational match, verify its individual broadcast listing instead of assuming the esports feed covers it.
Bottom line for viewers
For the confirmed competitive livestreams, start with HCS YouTube, twitch.tv/hcs, or twitch.tv/hcs_red. For the complete Seattle schedule and changes, start with the newest Halo Waypoint update and then use the Halo Fest app for the detailed floor plan and personal itinerary. The event dates and current venue hours are established, but coverage for the concert, stages, panels, speedruns, and other non-Invitational programming remains dependent on later official schedule releases.
