There is no single streaming service that carries every field hockey match. Find the exact competition, check its official “Where to Watch” page for your country, then use the listed broadcaster or check the event’s Watch.Hockey page. Match rights, live coverage, replays, and prices vary by event and territory.
How to find the service showing a specific match
- Identify the competition and match. Field hockey rights are sold by competition and territory, so a broadcaster that carries one tournament—or some of its games—may not show another. The FIH publishes territory listings for competitions such as the Pro League and the 2026 World Cup.
- Open the competition’s official broadcast or “Where to Watch” page. Select your country or territory and check the listing for the particular match. A broadcaster may carry only certain teams’ games, rather than the entire tournament.
- Check the named broadcaster’s official service. Confirm that the match is scheduled live and whether a full replay or highlights will be available. The event listing and broadcaster’s own schedule are more useful than assuming all matches are included.
- If no local broadcaster is listed, check Watch.Hockey. FIH describes it as a live and on-demand service that complements broadcast partners. Open the event page and verify availability from your location before paying.
- Check the terms before buying. Confirm the pass covers the match, whether it includes replay, the current price and duration, and support for your device. FIH’s announcements do not establish a universal price or replay window.
Where Watch.Hockey fits
Watch.Hockey is an option for FIH events that are available on the service, not a guarantee that every match is accessible everywhere. FIH’s June 2, 2025 announcement describes live hockey, extended highlights, playback controls, and an on-demand video library. Its listed access options at that time included web, Android, Android TV, and Amazon Firestick; device support can change, so check the current service information before buying hardware.
Territory restrictions can apply. In its June 2025 announcement, FIH said broadcast agreements geoblocked matches in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, while other video-library content, highlights, and statistics remained available there. Those restrictions may change, so check the current event terms for your location.

National broadcasters may show only selected matches
Do not assume a listed broadcaster carries the whole tournament. The FIH’s 2026 World Cup listing gives examples of territory- and team-specific coverage: S4C listed Wales matches, BBC ALBA Scotland matches, and TVE-Teledeporte in Spain and CBS in the United States and Canada matches involving their respective national teams. These are details of that event listing, not permanent rules for those broadcasters.
Example: selected 2026 World Cup coverage in the UK
Channel 4 announced on August 6, 2026, that selected England, Scotland, and Wales matches at the 2026 FIH World Cup would stream live on Channel 4 Sport YouTube for UK audiences. It also described its 2024–2027 FIH Pro League partnership as covering all England men’s and women’s matches and selected neutral matches. These are specific rights arrangements; check the current schedule for the match you want.

Can you watch live, replay a match, or watch for free?
- Live: Check the event page and the listed broadcaster’s schedule. Watch.Hockey offers live access for covered events where territory rights allow it.
- On demand: FIH describes Watch.Hockey as offering an on-demand video library and extended highlights. Confirm whether the specific match has a full replay and how long it remains available; replay terms are not universal.
- Free: Some coverage may be free. The announced Channel 4 Sport YouTube coverage is a UK example for selected 2026 World Cup matches, not evidence that all matches or territories are free.
Will it work on your device?
Watch.Hockey’s June 2025 platform announcement listed web, Android, Android TV, and Amazon Firestick. Because this is a dated list, verify current device and app support on the service before subscribing or buying a streaming device. A compatible device does not bypass territory restrictions or guarantee that a particular match is included; you can also watch on the web if that option is currently supported.
