Watch Critical Role live on the official Beacon, Twitch, or YouTube channels. If you miss the broadcast, Beacon members get the earliest full-episode video and podcast, Twitch rebroadcasts the show the next morning, and the public YouTube video arrives on Monday. Campaign Four is also available through official podcast feeds, although its ad-supported edition is released in two parts.
Critical Role’s release schedule at a glance
All times below are Pacific Time. The live broadcast, member releases, rebroadcast and public VOD follow different windows, so choosing the right route depends on whether you value live chat, earliest access, free on-demand video or audio listening.

The exact day can be illustrated by Campaign Four Episode 37: its broadcast was scheduled for October 1, 2026, at 7 p.m. Pacific. The associated Beacon VOD and podcast were scheduled that evening, the Twitch rebroadcast for Friday, October 2 at 9 a.m., the public YouTube VOD for Monday, October 5 at noon, and the two ad-supported podcast parts for October 8 and October 13 at 5 a.m. Pacific.
Choose the best route for your viewing goal
Live viewing and chat
Use Twitch or YouTube when you want to watch at the same time as everyone else and participate in live chat. Beacon also carries the live broadcast, so Beacon members can stay within that service rather than switching platforms. The live slot is the recurring Thursday evening window shown in the schedule above.

Earliest full episode
Beacon is the earliest official full-episode VOD route. Members receive the video on release day at the same time the live episode is scheduled, along with the full podcast. The available material establishes the membership requirement and release timing, but it does not state a universal Beacon price; check the current membership page before subscribing.
Free on-demand video
The public YouTube VOD is the straightforward no-membership catch-up option. It is scheduled for Monday at noon Pacific, which makes it later than the live broadcast, the Friday Twitch rebroadcast and member VOD access. Use the official channel rather than relying on an unofficial upload with an uncertain release date.
Next-morning replay
The Critical Role Twitch channel runs a rebroadcast at 9 a.m. Pacific on the following morning. This is useful if Thursday night is inconvenient but you prefer video and want to watch before the public YouTube upload. A rebroadcast is still a scheduled stream, so it is not the same as opening an on-demand file whenever you choose.

Audio while commuting
Use the official podcast feeds when you do not need the video. Beacon members receive the complete podcast on release day. The ad-supported Campaign Four edition is divided into two parts: the first arrives one week after the premiere, and the second follows on Tuesday at 5 a.m. Pacific. Plan for two listening sessions rather than expecting one uninterrupted ad-supported file.
How to watch Critical Role live
- Pick a platform. Open Beacon, Twitch or YouTube. Beacon is the membership-based option; Twitch and YouTube are the public live destinations identified for the broadcast.
- Confirm the Pacific-time start. The recurring start is 7 p.m. Pacific on Thursday. Convert that time to your local zone and account for seasonal daylight-saving changes before setting a reminder.
- Open the official channel before the start. Use twitch.tv/criticalrole or youtube.com/criticalrole, or go to beacon.tv. Signing in ahead of time avoids losing the opening minutes to an account prompt.
- Choose live playback rather than a previous VOD. On a live evening, select the stream marked as live. If you arrive after the start, use the live position instead of jumping into an older upload.
- Decide whether to use chat. Twitch and YouTube allow simultaneous community viewing and live chat. If you are avoiding spoilers or prefer an uninterrupted experience, leave chat closed while keeping the video open.
The live channels are interchangeable for the basic broadcast, but the surrounding account features differ. A Twitch subscriber or YouTube member can receive immediate VOD access after the stream, while a public viewer should plan around the later YouTube release unless using the Friday rebroadcast.
How to catch up on a missed Campaign Four episode
Option 1: Beacon same-day access
If you need the complete episode as soon as the release window opens, use a Beacon membership. The Campaign Four release guide places the VOD and full podcast at 7 p.m. Pacific on release day. This is the earliest complete on-demand route described for the campaign.

Option 2: Immediate platform-member VOD
Twitch subscribers and YouTube members can access the VOD immediately after the live stream. This avoids waiting for the public Monday upload, although it requires the relevant platform membership. The available schedule does not establish a single price for either membership, so review the current terms shown by the platform.

For viewers who missed Thursday but can watch the next morning, open the Critical Role Twitch channel for the 9 a.m. Pacific rebroadcast. Treat this as a fixed viewing appointment: it is a replay stream, not the unrestricted VOD library available to eligible members.
Option 4: Public YouTube VOD
For a public, on-demand catch-up route, wait for the official YouTube upload scheduled for Monday at noon Pacific. This is the simplest choice when you do not want a membership and can wait through the weekend. Search the official channel’s uploads if you do not see the episode immediately; avoid assuming that an earlier third-party video is the official release.

Option 5: Audio catch-up
If video is not practical, use the podcast release. Beacon members receive the full podcast on release day. The ad-supported version arrives later in two parts, so note both dates on your calendar before beginning; stopping after the first part will leave the episode incomplete.
Campaign Four podcast timing in practice
The two-part audio schedule is easiest to understand with a dated example. Episode 37 was broadcast on October 1, 2026. Its ad-supported podcast parts were scheduled for October 8 and October 13 at 5 a.m. Pacific. The first date is one week after the premiere, and the second is the following Tuesday. This pattern explains why the ad-supported audio edition may lag behind both the live show and member video.
- Want the full audio immediately? Use the Beacon member podcast release on release day.
- Want an ad-supported feed? Expect the first segment one week after the premiere and the second on the following Tuesday morning.
- Need one uninterrupted file? Wait until both parts are available, then listen in sequence.
- Need to avoid spoilers? Do not open episode discussions or live chat before your scheduled audio release; the public video and live broadcast precede the ad-supported podcast.
Finding older Critical Role campaigns
Older material is divided between Critical Role’s current channels and legacy Geek & Sundry channels. Critical Role’s official FAQ identifies complete Campaign One episodes on Geek & Sundry, along with Campaign Two episodes 1 through 19. Newer episodes are on Critical Role’s own channels and campaign playlists.

Starting Campaign One
Use the Campaign One playlist or the complete legacy episodes identified on Geek & Sundry. A playlist is preferable to searching episode titles individually because it preserves viewing order and reduces the chance of starting with a clip or highlight instead of the full episode.
Starting Campaign Two
For Campaign Two, the legacy collection covers episodes 1–19 on Geek & Sundry. Continue with Critical Role’s current playlists for later episodes. Check the episode number before starting so that you do not jump from the legacy portion to a later installment.
Moving between campaigns
Each campaign is a separate starting point. If you are beginning Campaign Four, use its current release schedule rather than looking for older campaign playlists. If you are finishing an earlier campaign, stay in numerical episode order and use the channel’s playlist organization where available.

If you missed one Thursday
- Watch the Friday Twitch rebroadcast if its fixed morning time works for you.
- Use a Twitch subscriber or YouTube member VOD immediately after the live stream if you already have that membership.
- Otherwise, watch the public YouTube VOD on Monday at noon Pacific.
- If you prefer audio, follow the appropriate podcast dates and wait for both ad-supported parts.
If you are several episodes behind
- Choose one format and stay consistent: video on YouTube, member VOD, Twitch rebroadcasts or podcast audio.
- Write down the last episode you completed. This prevents accidentally starting a later upload when playlists contain clips, specials or multiple campaigns.
- For free video, work through the public YouTube uploads in episode order rather than trying to synchronize with the newest live broadcast.
- For audio, account for the two-part ad-supported schedule so your listening list does not appear complete after only the first segment.
If you want to become current without spoilers
- Mute or close live chat until you have caught up.
- Use episode titles and numbers instead of browsing recommendation thumbnails.
- Choose the earliest route you can access, then avoid community posts until the episode is finished.
- Once current, set a recurring reminder for the Thursday live window and keep the Friday and Monday alternatives as backups.
Understanding the membership trade-off
The decision is primarily about timing, not a different show. Public viewers can watch live on Twitch or YouTube, use the Friday rebroadcast, and receive the public YouTube VOD on Monday. Beacon members receive same-day VOD and the full podcast; Twitch subscribers and YouTube members receive immediate VOD access after the stream. The official schedule does not provide a single price that applies to every viewer, region or billing period, so confirm current membership terms directly before paying.
If live chat matters most, choose a live stream. If you need a file available on your own schedule, choose a VOD. If you only need audio, choose the podcast route and check whether you are following the complete Beacon release or the delayed two-part ad-supported edition.
Quick troubleshooting checklist
- The live stream has ended: Use the Friday Twitch rebroadcast, an eligible member VOD, or wait for the public Monday YouTube upload.
- You expected the video immediately: Immediate post-stream VOD access is specified for Twitch subscribers and YouTube members; public YouTube viewers should use the Monday schedule.
- You found only part of the podcast: Campaign Four’s ad-supported edition is intentionally split. Check the following Tuesday 5 a.m. Pacific date for the second segment.
- You started in the wrong place: Return to the campaign playlist and verify the episode number. Campaign One and early Campaign Two material may appear on Geek & Sundry, while newer episodes are on Critical Role channels.
- Your local start time looks different: Recheck the Pacific-time conversion, especially around daylight-saving transitions.
The simplest choice
Watch Thursday’s live broadcast on Twitch or YouTube for free community viewing, use Beacon for same-day full VOD and podcast access, choose the Friday Twitch rebroadcast for next-morning video, or wait for Monday’s public YouTube VOD. For listening, remember that Campaign Four’s ad-supported podcast is released in two dated parts. Older campaigns require moving between Geek & Sundry’s legacy episodes and Critical Role’s current playlists.
