In Moon Sweepers version 1.0.4, J.O.O.N.A.S. is a $20,000 autonomous cleaner that clears lunar ground one hex at a time and fires filled dust capsules to the nearest Capsule Catcher. It no longer needs to return to a dock, can route around buildings, and keeps working when no player is nearby. To make it useful, buy a $1,500 Capsule Catcher, connect that catcher to a conveyor and a Depot or processing machine, then verify one complete robot-to-output cycle before expanding.
What do I need before placing J.O.O.N.A.S.?
J.O.O.N.A.S. is a late-game automation purchase rather than an early cleaning upgrade. You need enough money for the robot, a Capsule Catcher, and the conveyor infrastructure that moves collected dust onward.
- J.O.O.N.A.S.: $20,000 in the Services menu, according to the current Games.gg guide.
- Capsule Catcher: $1,500 in the researched setup guide. The catcher is the receiving point for every capsule launched by the robot.
- Conveyor route: A belt from the catcher to a Depot for delivery, or to a Pressure Chamber or another processing machine if you want to turn the dust into materials such as sand.
- Uncleared ground: The robot must have reachable dirty hexes in the sector where you place it.
How do I set up J.O.O.N.A.S. step by step?
- Buy the robot. Open the Services menu and purchase J.O.O.N.A.S. for $20,000.
- Buy a catcher. Purchase a Capsule Catcher for $1,500 before placing the robot.
- Choose the catcher’s position. Place it near the robot’s intended work area and close enough to the planned conveyor route. The robot sends capsules to the physically nearest catcher, not necessarily the catcher you built most recently.
- Build the output line. Connect the catcher’s outlet to a Depot, Pressure Chamber, or other compatible processing equipment. Check belt direction, power, and the receiving machine’s input.
- Place J.O.O.N.A.S. Use the Build menu and position it beside uncleared lunar ground.
- Observe one full cycle. Confirm that the robot cleans a hex, fills a capsule, launches it, the intended catcher receives it, and the conveyor carries the dust to its destination.
- Expand only after the cycle works. Add another robot only after the first unit and its downstream line operate reliably.
How does J.O.O.N.A.S. work in patch 1.0.4?
Patch 1.0.4 changed several launch-era behaviors, so older guides can give incorrect advice.

It cleans one hex at a time
The robot works from the outside inward until its current sector is complete. When it encounters buildings, it navigates around them and skips hexes it cannot reach.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
It launches capsules instead of returning to a dock
J.O.O.N.A.S. sends each filled capsule to the nearest Capsule Catcher while continuing toward its next work area. A dock trip is no longer part of the current loop.
It works when you leave
The 1.0.4 behavior allows cleaning to continue when players are not nearby. Leaving the area should not, by itself, stop an otherwise valid job.
It reports status in the information panel
Inspect the robot to see its sector readout. A flashing red bin indicator means its bin is full and the material-handling chain needs attention.

The catcher stores more dust
DragDrop Games lists the patch 1.0.4 Capsule Catcher capacity as 100 kg and says the catcher displays the dust it has collected.
Where should I place the Capsule Catcher?
Place it so it is the nearest catcher to the robot’s working position while leaving a practical, unobstructed path for the outgoing conveyor. Physical distance determines the destination, so a catcher across a belt network can still win if it is closer than the one connected to your intended processor.
With multiple robots, proximity can cause several units to feed one catcher. Give each work area a deliberate catcher layout, then inspect the first capsule from every robot before building a larger fleet.

Why are my capsules going to the wrong catcher?
The usual cause is the nearest-catcher rule. Compare the physical distance from J.O.O.N.A.S. to every active catcher, move the intended catcher closer, or relocate competing catchers so the desired one is unambiguously nearest. Building a new catcher beside the conveyor does not guarantee that it will receive the robot’s next capsule.

- The robot moves but no material arrives: Follow a single capsule visually to its catcher, then inspect the catcher’s outgoing belt and destination.
- The catcher fills but the line stops: Check that the belt is connected in the correct direction, powered, and attached to a machine with an available input.
- The robot appears idle: Open its information panel and confirm that the sector still contains reachable dirty hexes. Buildings or unreachable terrain can leave no valid target.
- Several robots feed an unexpected line: Compare catcher distances and redesign the catcher positions before adding more conveyors.
- Your game behaves like an old guide: Verify that the game is running patch 1.0.4. Advice about dock trips or requiring a nearby player describes an earlier build.
Should I build several J.O.O.N.A.S. robots at once?
No. The robot, catcher, conveyor, and destination are separate failure points. Prove one complete cleaning, capsule launch, catcher receipt, and downstream-processing cycle first. Then scale while checking catcher capacity, nearest-catcher assignments, and whether the receiving line can accept output from additional robots.
How does J.O.O.N.A.S. compare with manual cleaning or Robot Vacuums?
J.O.O.N.A.S. trades a high purchase price for autonomous sector coverage and capsule-based logistics. The practical differences are its ability to seek new dirty sectors, work away from players, and require a catcher-and-conveyor network rather than a simple local cleaning radius.

Does J.O.O.N.A.S. work when I leave the area?
Yes. Patch 1.0.4 explicitly allows the robot to keep cleaning when no player is nearby. It still needs reachable dirty ground and a functioning catcher-and-conveyor chain, so leaving the area does not fix an obstructed sector or a broken production line.

Can one Capsule Catcher support multiple J.O.O.N.A.S. robots?
Yes, if the robots are all directed to that catcher by proximity and the catcher and conveyor can accept their combined output. Watch the catcher’s 100 kg capacity and the downstream line for buildup before adding more units.

Can buildings block J.O.O.N.A.S.?
Buildings can change its route, but patch 1.0.4 lets the robot navigate around them. Hexes it cannot reach are skipped rather than cleaned through an obstruction.
What should I connect a Capsule Catcher to first?
Use a Depot when your immediate goal is delivery. Use a Pressure Chamber or another compatible processor when you want the collected dust to continue through production instead of being stored for shipment.
