- Open the browser menu and choose Print (or press
Ctrl+Pon Windows/Linux orCommand+Pon macOS). - Set the destination or printer to Save to PDF.
- Choose paper size, orientation, margins, scale and whether to print background graphics.
- Check the preview for clipped columns, blank images and awkward page breaks.
- Save the file with a useful name, such as

Print-to-PDF uses the page’s print styles. Those styles can intentionally hide navigation, reflow columns or remove colors, so the PDF may not look like the screen. If a background color or image is missing, enable the browser’s background-graphics option and print again.
What if the page is longer than one screen?
Print-to-PDF paginates the document automatically. Edge and Firefox also offer full-page screenshot workflows; those produce images rather than a conventional, searchable PDF unless you convert them afterward. How do I make dynamic pages render correctly?
A request can finish before a single-page application, chart or lazy image has appeared. Add a specific wait condition rather than relying on an unnecessarily long fixed delay.
- Identify a selector that proves the important content exists, such as the chart container or article body.
- Use
wait_for_selectorfor that element, or usewait_untiland network-idle behavior when the page has no reliable selector. - Add a bounded
delayonly for animations or late third-party widgets. - Enable full-page scrolling when images load only as the viewport reaches them.
- Render a test PDF and inspect every page for blank regions, clipped content and missing fonts or images.
Waiting longer cannot fix content that requires a cookie, authorization header or a user action. Supply the required session data or use a click and custom script to put the page into the intended state.
How should I handle pages behind a login?
Capture the page with an authorized browser session represented by cookies or headers. A public URL alone is not proof that the service can see the same content as your logged-in browser.

How do I verify a PDF before sharing it?
Open the generated file in a PDF viewer and check the actual pages, not only the HTTP success status.
- Confirm that the title, main text and expected page count are present.
- Look for clipped tables, columns that run off the paper and headings stranded at page bottoms.
- Check lazy-loaded images, charts, fonts and background colors.
- Make sure no consent dialog, newsletter popup, chat widget or bot-check page obscures the content.
- Confirm that sensitive data from the wrong account has not been captured.
- Record the source URL, UTC capture time, paper settings, viewport and authentication assumptions.
Keep the live URL with the PDF when readers may need to follow links, interact with controls or verify a changing page. The PDF records one rendered state; it is not a substitute for the application itself.
