FORSAKEN is No Man’s Sky update 7.10, not a separately announced expedition in the official material checked on October 30, 2026. If you want to play an expedition, open the Space Anomaly and use its Expedition Terminus when an expedition is listed, or choose the fresh expedition-save option from the game’s start screen. If you want FORSAKEN’s content, launch the updated game and search for its mementos, traders, derelict freighters, hulks and digsites instead of looking for a FORSAKEN sign-up screen.
The latest numbered expedition identified in the reviewed announcements is Expedition Twenty-Three: Our Journey Continues. Hello Games originally described it as running for approximately six weeks, but that estimate is not an exact closing date; check the in-game expedition list before planning a new run.
Is FORSAKEN an expedition in No Man’s Sky?
No—not in the official announcements and update notes reviewed for October 30, 2026. Hello Games identifies FORSAKEN as update 7.10, released October 28, 2026. The notes describe new gameplay, equipment and quality-of-life features, but they do not announce a limited-time expedition named FORSAKEN or a separate event-join flow.

FORSAKEN is update content that you access by running the supported game version. A future FORSAKEN-themed expedition remains possible, but the reviewed sources do not establish any such plan. How do I start an expedition on my existing save?
Use the Expedition Terminus aboard the Space Anomaly, provided an expedition is currently available. You do not need to abandon your primary save.
- Load the save you normally play.
- Reach the Space Anomaly. If it has not yet been unlocked in that save, follow the main progression until the Anomaly becomes available.
- Walk to the Expedition Terminus inside the Anomaly. Its exact position can be easier to spot after using the Anomaly’s interior waypoints and scanning for the terminal interact prompt.
- Open the terminal and review the expedition currently offered. The list can change when an expedition ends or a new one is announced.
- Before departing, place the permitted supplies and packaged equipment in the terminal’s expedition-transfer interface. Hello Games’ expedition system allows selected items to be staged for the expedition.
- Confirm departure. The game creates the expedition state while preserving your primary save.
Once you reach the Space Anomaly during the expedition, the staged items can be retrieved according to the terminal’s transfer rules. The same terminal, or the relevant option in the main menu, lets you switch between the expedition and your primary save. The precise inventory limits and eligible item types are shown by the current game build; do not assume every ship, technology module or stack can be transferred.
Where is the Expedition Terminus?
It is inside the Space Anomaly, in the expedition area rather than at a planetary space station. Summon the Anomaly from space when the feature is unlocked, dock, then move through the interior until the Expedition Terminus interaction appears.

Names and room layouts can receive visual changes in updates, so use the on-screen interaction label instead of relying on an old screenshot. If no expedition is offered, the terminal may still be present but will not provide a FORSAKEN enrollment option. That is an availability issue, not evidence that your save is broken.
How do I start an expedition from a fresh save?
Choose the expedition-save route from the start-new-game screen when an expedition is offered. This creates a separate save rather than converting your existing character into an expedition participant.
- From the title screen, select the option to begin a new game.
- Choose the expedition entry if it appears in the current mode list.
- Accept the expedition rules and create the new save.
- Open the Expedition Page after spawning to see its phases, milestones and reward track.
Hello Games presented this fresh-save route as the alternative to using the Anomaly Terminus for Our Journey Continues. The resulting save may later be converted into a Normal Mode save, subject to the game’s current conversion prompt and rules. Starting fresh is useful when you want the expedition’s intended opening conditions and do not need supplies from a mature save; it is not a requirement for players who prefer to stage equipment from an existing save.
What is the difference between starting from an existing save and a fresh save?
Both routes enter the same expedition structure, but they differ in preparation and save management. Use the table to choose the route that matches your situation.

Neither route is a workaround for a missing event. If no expedition appears in either location, there is currently no active expedition available to that game build or platform.
How do expedition milestones and rewards work?
Use the Expedition Page to see objectives, pin a milestone for guidance, then complete milestones in the required phases. The page is the expedition’s checklist and should be your first stop after starting.
- Open the Expedition Page from the expedition interface or pause/menu screen.
- Read the phase order and each milestone’s requirements. Some milestones are easier to complete while travelling toward another objective.
- Pin the milestone you are working on. The pin adds guidance to the HUD and mission tracking.
- Complete the objective, return to the Expedition Page and claim its reward.
- Finish all required milestones in a phase, then claim the phase reward when the game marks it complete.
- Continue through the remaining phases and claim the final expedition rewards before leaving the mode.
For Our Journey Continues, Hello Games says exclusive phase rewards can be redeemed across saves at the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion aboard the Space Anomaly. That cross-save redemption is an expedition reward system; it is not a FORSAKEN trader exchange. The announcement also lists nine framed artworks among that expedition’s rewards, which should not be described as FORSAKEN rewards.
How do I join the FORSAKEN content?
Install and launch the FORSAKEN update, then play its scavenger and combat activities in ordinary game modes. There is no separate FORSAKEN expedition enrollment step in the reviewed official sources.
Look for the update’s haunting mementos in several locations:
- Infested outposts on planets.
- Deep-space hulks and other derelict-freighter locations.
- Derelict freighters that you investigate in space.
- Planetary digsites where the new story and scavenging elements can surface.
Hostile boundary horrors can appear during this activity, so carry appropriate ammunition, hazard protection and a way to recover lost resources. The precise encounter and reward conditions depend on the location and current update build; follow the objective text rather than assuming every site produces the same item.
What do FORSAKEN traders and mementos do?
Forsaken traders exchange the update’s mementos for biomechanical corvette parts. Find or summon the traders at space outposts, bring the mementos you have recovered, and inspect the exchange list before spending them.

The update also connects a preserved-grub offering with the Larva Cannon Multi-Tool. The Larva Tank helmet and the Mind Harvester title are associated with the scavenging activity. These are update rewards and unlocks, not expedition phase rewards, and they should not be claimed through the Expedition Terminus.
What other features arrived in update 7.10?
FORSAKEN includes more than the memento hunt. The update notes describe:
- Biomechanical corvette modules and additional corvette-related customization.
- New cockpit and interior choices.
- The Larva Cannon Multi-Tool.
- A Larva Tank appearance.
- Space-courier missions.
- A minimal HUD option.
- Radial Multi-Tool weapon selection.
- Direct warping to nearby stars from space.
Hello Games’ notes state that “Stars from nearby star systems can now be directly targeted and warped to from space, without opening the Galaxy Map.” This is a navigation feature, not a way to enroll in an expedition.
Courier contracts have additional prerequisites: the patch notes specify a corvette and a Gravitino Coil. If the contract prompt is unavailable, verify both requirements before troubleshooting the mission itself.
Which expedition is currently available?
Check the game’s expedition selector rather than relying on an old announcement. The latest numbered expedition identified in the reviewed official material is Expedition Twenty-Three: Our Journey Continues, announced September 16, 2026. Hello Games described its original run as approximately six weeks, not as a guaranteed closing date and time.

Because an expedition can close, return, or be replaced, the announcement date alone cannot prove that it is still playable on October 30 or on your platform. Open the Expedition Terminus on an existing save and the new-game expedition list on a fresh start. If neither shows the expedition, wait for an official rerun or a new announcement rather than attempting to force a hidden event.
Does platform or patch version affect access?
Yes. FORSAKEN’s release log names PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass and iOS. Availability can still vary while a patch is rolling out, and platform-specific menus may not update simultaneously.

On October 29, Hello Games described patch 7.11 as live on Steam, with other platforms to follow. The hotfix addresses crashes involving the Anomaly teleporter and warping; do not assume that 7.11 had reached every listed platform at the research timestamp. If your platform has not received the hotfix, update the game through its platform store and check the in-game version before reporting a missing fix.
The October 28 announcement says eligible iPhone 11-and-newer and third-generation iPad Air-and-newer users can try the beginning of the iOS game free. That limited trial is not a free FORSAKEN expedition and does not create a special event-join route.
What should I do if the Expedition Terminus shows nothing?
First confirm that an expedition is active for your build; then rule out common access and update problems.
- Check both entry points. Look at the Expedition Terminus on an existing save and the expedition option on the new-game screen.
- Update the game. A pending download or platform rollout can leave you on a build without the latest expedition data.
- Return to the title screen. Fully quit and relaunch after an update so the mode list refreshes.
- Verify the Anomaly is unlocked. A very early save may not yet be able to summon or enter it.
- Do not confuse FORSAKEN activities with expedition content. Mementos, traders and the Larva Cannon are found through gameplay, not through the terminal.
- Check official announcements. An approximate run length, such as six weeks, does not guarantee that an expedition remains open.
If the terminal crashes or the game fails while warping, install the hotfix when it reaches your platform. Since 7.11 was confirmed live on Steam first, console and mobile players may need to wait for their platform’s release process.
Can I prepare equipment without risking my main save?
Yes, when you start through the Expedition Terminus. Hello Games’ system lets you place selected items and packaged equipment in the terminal before departure, while your primary save remains separate. Review the transfer screen carefully and keep irreplaceable materials in the primary save unless the interface explicitly marks them for expedition use.
A fresh expedition save does not provide that same pre-departure staging from your established inventory. Its advantage is a clean, designed opening rather than a prepared loadout. Choose based on whether convenience or the intended progression matters more to you.

Yes when using the existing-save route. The expedition system supports switching between the expedition and primary save through the Expedition Terminus or the main menu. Save before switching, allow any inventory-transfer prompt to finish, and make sure you understand which save is active before spending rare resources.

The fresh-save route is separate by design. You can continue that expedition save and, where the game offers it, later convert it to Normal Mode; this does not overwrite the original primary save.
What should a returning player remember?
Keep these distinctions in mind:
- 7.10 is the FORSAKEN update. It is not proof of a FORSAKEN-named expedition.
- Expeditions are selected from the Anomaly or new-game screen. An expedition must be listed to be startable.
- Our Journey Continues was estimated at about six weeks. Verify its live status in-game.
- FORSAKEN mementos and traders are ordinary update gameplay. Search outposts, hulks, freighters and digsites.
- 7.11 rollout was platform-staged. Steam availability on October 29 did not mean every platform had it immediately.
Do I need to buy a separate FORSAKEN edition?
No separate expedition purchase is described. FORSAKEN is an update to No Man’s Sky, so a player without the base game needs a supported copy of the game on a listed platform. Hello Games’ buying page includes PS5 and physical selections, but stock, retailer listings and prices change; verify those details at the time of purchase.
Do not treat in-game items such as the Larva Cannon, mementos or biomechanical parts as physical products. They are earned or exchanged inside the game.

Can I play FORSAKEN without completing an expedition?
Yes. FORSAKEN’s memento hunts, traders, corvette content and other features are part of update 7.10 gameplay. You can pursue them in a supported save without enrolling in a limited-time expedition.
Will my expedition rewards appear on every save?
Only rewards designated for cross-save redemption are shared that way. For Our Journey Continues, Hello Games says exclusive phase rewards can be claimed through the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion in the Space Anomaly; ordinary expedition inventory is not automatically copied to every save.
Why does my console not show the same patch as Steam?
Hello Games reported patch 7.11 live on Steam on October 29 and said other platforms would follow. Console and mobile certification and deployment can lag, so check your platform’s update status and the displayed game version.
Can I start an expedition after converting its save to Normal Mode?
A converted save is treated as a Normal Mode save under the game’s conversion rules. To replay the expedition structure, you would need to use it again if Hello Games makes that expedition available; conversion does not keep the old milestone track active.
Is the iOS free trial the same as a free FORSAKEN event?
No. The limited iOS trial applies to eligible newer iPhone and iPad hardware and lets players try the beginning of the game. It is not a separate free expedition or a special FORSAKEN enrollment offer.
