To change the screen refresh rate on a REDMI 17C 5G, go to Settings > Display & brightness > Refresh rate > Custom, then select one of the options shown. Xiaomi specifies a display refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, but does not list the exact choices available in the menu.
Change the refresh rate
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Display & brightness.
- Tap Refresh rate.
- Tap Custom.
- Select the option you want from those shown on your phone.
This is the device-specific path published by Xiaomi UK Support. If the labels differ, confirm that your phone is the REDMI 17C 5G and look for Refresh rate under Display & brightness. Xiaomi’s FAQ does not document alternate paths or software-build variations.
What refresh-rate options can you select?
Xiaomi says the REDMI 17C 5G display supports up to 120 Hz. Its India FAQ describes it as up to 120 Hz AdaptiveSync. Neither FAQ enumerates the exact values in the Custom menu, so use the choices displayed on your own device rather than assuming a particular set of modes.
Does 120 Hz mean games run at 120 frames per second?
No. A display’s refresh-rate capability does not guarantee that a game will render at the same frame rate. Xiaomi says the REDMI 17C 5G does not support 120 Hz high frame rate in games. Its UK FAQ gives these examples of supported game rates: Honor of Kings up to 60 Hz, PUBG Mobile up to 40 Hz, and Wild Rift up to 60 Hz. These are manufacturer-published support figures; actual performance can depend on the app, its settings, background processes, and game optimization.
