How many devices can watch YouTube TV at once?
Google / YouTube TV Help says a standard YouTube TV plan can stream on up to three devices at the same time. A computer and a mobile device count as two devices, even if one person is watching on both. The limit applies across the family group, not separately to each member. Home Area vs. Current Playback Area

These settings solve different problems. Do not change your Home Area just because you are away for a trip. YouTube TV says local programming outside your Home Area cannot be recorded. YouTube TV location settings
How do I change my YouTube TV Home Area?
Only change it for a permanent move. You must be physically present in the new Home Area, and Google limits home-area changes to no more than twice in a 12-month period. The family manager controls the Home Area for a family plan.

- On a mobile web browser or computer, open YouTube TV and select your profile picture.
- Choose Home Area.
- Select Update and follow the prompts while in the new area.

Travel check-ins
Google advises subscribers who travel frequently to use YouTube TV at home at least once every three months. For MLB fans, Google separately advises checking in at home at least once every 30 days to help avoid MLB game-related viewing restrictions. These are distinct recommendations, and the help material does not display a publication year. Travel and home-location guidance
Why does YouTube TV say I’m outside my Home Area?
Check whether your device’s Current Playback Area matches your actual location, especially if you are traveling in the U.S. If you have moved permanently, update Home Area while physically at the new address instead. Frequent travelers should also follow Google’s home-use check-in guidance. The available help pages explain location verification and travel rules, but do not describe a single screen that lists every signed-in device.

How does family sharing affect access?
A YouTube TV family group can include the subscriber and up to five additional members. Members must primarily live in the same household and periodically use YouTube TV at the home location to maintain access. Everyone shares the standard three-device simultaneous-stream allowance.
The family manager controls family membership and the Home Area. If a member loses access, check that they meet the household requirement and have used YouTube TV periodically at home; a membership from another household is not a supported workaround. YouTube TV family groups

What if I have reached the stream limit?
First count the devices currently playing. The standard limit is three concurrent devices across the family group. Eligible subscribers with 4K Plus or NFL Sunday Ticket may have unlimited in-home streams, but the add-ons cover different content and do not mean every program can be watched on unlimited devices.
For eligible in-home streaming, the family manager must set the home network while in the Home Area. The home network setting can be changed up to three times in 30 days; Google’s help page does not display a publication year for this limit. Check which content your add-on covers before relying on it to resolve a particular limit message. YouTube TV home network and unlimited streams
How do I switch or remove an account on a TV?
If the issue is the account selected on one TV, switch the account on that device rather than changing location settings.
- Open your profile menu.
- Open the account dropdown and select an account, or choose the option to add one.
- To remove an account, use the account switcher on that device.
Switching accounts affects that device. Libraries and recordings are not shared between accounts. Switch accounts on YouTube TV
