Do not rely on one accidental moment in a live encounter. Capture several versions of entrances, spell casts, camera pans, environmental vistas, finishing attacks, and reaction shots. Hold each camera move longer than the final cut needs so the editor has clean in-points and out-points.

The MP4 will not open after an interrupted recording
That is the risk OBS’s MKV recommendation is designed to avoid. For future sessions, record to MKV and remux completed files to MP4. An already damaged MP4 may not be recoverable through ordinary remuxing.
The uploaded video looks soft or low quality
Confirm that the local file is the intended 1080p progressive export and that the upload has finished processing higher resolutions. YouTube creates additional versions after upload; judge the final presentation only after those versions are available.
