You can make a printed photo book directly from Google Photos on Android or a computer, using selected pictures or an existing album. Choose at least 20 photos, edit and check the pages, then confirm the book, price, and delivery details in Print store before ordering.
Start a photo book in Google Photos
Google Photos saves the book as a draft while you work. The labels may differ slightly by device or account, but Google documents these routes:
On Android
- Open the Google Photos app and sign in.
- At the top, tap Create > Photo books, prints, & more > Photo books > Make a photo book.
- Select at least 20 photos, then tap Done.
On a computer
- Go to photos.google.com and sign in.
- Click Print store > Photo books > Make a photo book.
- Select at least 20 photos, then click Done.
Make a book from an album
Yes. On Android, open Collections > Albums, choose an album, then tap Order photos > Photo book. On a computer, open Albums, select the album, then choose Print store > Photo book.
If you select more than 140 photos, Google turns some images into a collage on one page. Drafts save automatically, but an unedited draft is deleted after 90 days. Find drafts and past orders in Print store.

Edit and check the pages before ordering
Google’s editor lets you adjust the book’s first-page title and cover photo, change layouts, reposition photos, drag pages to reorder them, add photo or collage pages, remove photos, and add captions. Captions are not available on full-page photos; adding one resizes the photo.
- Review the cover, title, page order, and layouts before checkout.
- Look for Google’s warning indicator on images that may print blurry because of low resolution. You can still print a flagged image, but Google warns it may not look like it does onscreen. Replace it with a higher-resolution original if you have one.
- Remember that edits save automatically; you can return to the draft before ordering.
Choose a format and check the current price
Google’s current U.S. product information lists two formats. Both have a minimum of 20 pages and a maximum of 140. The stated formats and spine-title rules are specific to that U.S. product information; confirm what your own Print store offers.

Google says prices vary and directs customers to begin an order to see the book price and shipping cost. A $9.99 starting price appeared in a Google announcement in 2021 for the regions named in that post; it is historical, not a current quote. Check the amount shown for your order rather than relying on old prices.
Place the order and understand delivery
During computer checkout, Google’s instructions say to choose softcover or hardcover, review the quantity and subtotal, and enter shipping and payment details. Google accepts Google Pay, credit cards, and debit cards. It permits cancellation within two hours; after cancellation, a temporary authorization charge can take up to 14 days to disappear.

Google’s U.S. product page provides economy, standard, and priority shipping estimates for the continental U.S., with separate estimates for Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. It says production and packaging may take 2–4 business days, but shipping time is not guaranteed, and priority shipping does not support PO boxes. Use the estimate shown at checkout for your address. U.S. and Canadian books can only be shipped within the country where they were purchased.
Google’s order instructions also offer a PDF download before an order is archived. Archiving deletes that PDF copy and prevents reordering or contacting Google about the order, so download it first if you want to keep a copy.

Check whether photo books are available where you live
Google’s current Photos overview says printing is available only in the U.S., Canada, the EU, and the UK; its photo-book Help page also warns that books are not available in every country. Availability can depend on the country, product, and delivery address. Check the Print store in your account before preparing a book.
For a design-focused comparison, the Associated Press describes Google’s layouts as basic and no-frills and names Mixbook and Shutterfly as more elaborate alternatives. That comparison does not establish their current prices, Google Photos import options, or supported delivery locations, so verify those details directly before choosing another service.
Quick Recap
Best Value
- A MEMORIAL, NOT JUST AN URN: Behind the glass front is a 5x7 photo of your dog. Inside are the ashes, a 20 photo album, and room for their collar and a favorite toy. All of it together, in one box.
- SIZED FOR BIG DOGS, UP TO 95 LB: At 9.5 by 7.8 by 5.7 inches it takes the ashes of a labrador, german shepherd or golden, where most pet urns for ashes are built for cats and small breeds.
- CLAY PAW PRINT KIT INCLUDED: Cast your dog or cat paw print and hang it on the front of the box, with a hook above it for their collar tag. Nothing else to order and nothing else to buy.
- PHOTO ALBUM ON AN INSIDE RACK: The 20 photo album sits on its own rack inside, so the pictures stay with the ashes instead of in a drawer in another room.
- WALL MOUNT OR SHELF, MAGNETIC LID: Hang it or stand it on a mantel. The lid seals flush and holds firm so the box is safe to keep out, and still opens when you want to add something.
