To set a daily limit for an app on a Samsung Galaxy phone, open Settings and go to Digital Wellbeing and parental controls. Open the screen-time dashboard, select the app, and set its App Timer. Menu names and behavior can vary by model, software version, and region.
Set a daily timer for an app

Open Settings.

Tap Digital Wellbeing and parental controls. Samsung uses this label in its Galaxy Z Fold6 manual and regional guidance. If you do not see it, search Settings for “Digital Wellbeing” or “App timers.”

Open the screen-time or app-usage dashboard. Depending on your software and region, it may be called Dashboard.

Select the app you want to limit, choose its timer option, and set the daily allowance.

Return to the dashboard to review your app use.
Samsung describes App Timer as a way to set a target for application use. In the Galaxy Z Fold6 manual, the app turns off and cannot be used after the limit is reached; that documented behavior should not be assumed to apply identically to every Galaxy model or configuration.
Choose the right Samsung screen-time control

Samsung Kids provides a child-focused environment with parent-managed screen-time schedules and goals, app access, and content settings. Samsung lists support for Galaxy phones and tablets running Android 9.0 or later, with carrier-dependent availability.

Family Link through Galaxy for Families
Samsung UK documents Family Link controls for child accounts, including daily limits, downtime, app limits, and content restrictions. Its guidance says those controls require One UI 6.1 or higher on Galaxy devices and parental-control setup.
