To use AdGuard on several devices, install the app from AdGuard’s official instructions for each platform, then sign in to the AdGuard account or enter the activation code tied to your license. AdGuard currently lists Personal licenses for up to 3 devices and Family licenses for up to 9; its website licenses are described as usable across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. App Store subscriptions for AdGuard’s iOS apps are a separate case: they are limited to iOS and iPadOS devices using the same Apple Account.
Check your license and where you bought it
If you purchased directly from AdGuard, look for the activation code in the purchase email and check the account associated with that email. AdGuard says an account is automatically created for the purchase email in its End-User License Agreement. The account’s Devices list can also show which devices currently use the license.

Before installing, identify whether you have a website license or an App Store subscription. AdGuard describes website licenses as cross-platform. By contrast, an App Store subscription for AdGuard for iOS or AdGuard Pro is restricted to iOS/iPadOS devices signed in with the same Apple Account, according to its App Store license guidance.

Install AdGuard on each device
Use AdGuard’s official installation instructions for the device’s operating system. The available route differs by platform, so check the current instructions rather than assuming every app is distributed through the same store.
Windows and macOS
Follow the Windows or Mac installation prompts provided by AdGuard, then open the installed app and activate it using the method for your license. The platform-specific prompt and activation screen can vary.
Android
AdGuard lists its Android app in AppGallery, Mi Store, and Samsung Galaxy Store. AdGuard says it cannot publish the app on Google Play and provides manual APK installation guidance for users who need that route.
AdGuard’s guidance warns that Auto Blocker on some Samsung devices running One UI 6 (Android 14) or newer may prevent APK installation. In that case, the vendor’s instructions say to go to Settings → Security and privacy → Auto Blocker, disable Auto Blocker for installation, and turn it back on afterward. Menu labels and behavior may change with Samsung and Android updates.
iPhone and iPad
If you have a website license, AdGuard says you can use it in AdGuard for iOS by signing in under Settings → License or entering the activation code. If you bought the subscription through Apple’s App Store, restore that purchase instead; do not assume it activates desktop or Android apps.
Activate the license on each device
- For a website purchase: open the installed AdGuard app and follow the activation instructions sent with your purchase. Depending on the platform, activate by signing in to the associated AdGuard account or entering the license’s activation code.
- For an App Store subscription on iOS or iPadOS: open AdGuard and choose Settings → License → Restore purchase. Use the Apple Account associated with the subscription.
- Check the device list: sign in to your AdGuard account and review the Devices list to confirm which devices are using the license.
For website purchases, AdGuard describes Personal and Family licenses as platform-independent across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. The App Store restriction remains separate from those website-license terms; AdGuard explains the distinction in its guidance on using a license across operating systems.

If you are replacing a device or reinstalling its operating system, remove the old device entry before activating the replacement. AdGuard’s new-device instructions give this account flow:
- Sign in to your AdGuard account.
- Open the AdGuard Ad Blocker tab.
- Under Devices, select the old device or the entry for the reinstalled system.
- Choose Remove.
- Install AdGuard on the replacement device and activate the license there.
The AdGuard EULA dated April 23, 2026 states, “You can transfer the purchased license to another Computer.”

If all activations are in use, remove an unused device from the account’s Devices list to free a place. If you need to cover more devices, AdGuard’s device-limit support page says you can upgrade a Personal license to Family, increasing the published allowance from 3 to 9 devices.
Upgrade an annual license to lifetime
AdGuard offers a lifetime option and says an existing one-year license can be upgraded to lifetime. To upgrade through the account, open the license or subscription controls and choose Upgrade to Lifetime. AdGuard’s purchase and upgrade instructions explain the account flow.
AdGuard also provides an Extend or upgrade page: apply the activation code associated with the license, then choose the lifetime option if it is offered for that license. The available options depend on the license and current offer. The EULA dated April 23, 2026 says a purchased license can be upgraded to extend its term up to a lifetime license.
