There is no verified player-side repair for the WARDOGS “wrong call” wipe, and Bulkhead did not plan an immediate second reset for the 17–18 October 2026 weekend. The change is handled on the game’s servers, not in a local save file. Reinstalling the game, deleting local data, or using a third-party utility cannot be presented as a supported rollback. First determine whether you lost season-bound cash and XP or a persistent gold-bar/cosmetic item, then document the account state and follow Bulkhead’s current official support or announcement route.
What the “wrong call” wipe actually refers to
WARDOGS’ published season plan separates temporary progression from persistent entitlements. At the end of a season, cash and XP progression are reset; outstanding cash is converted into gold bars. Gold bars and cosmetics are intended to remain on the account between seasons. That means a lower cash balance or zeroed role progression can be an expected seasonal operation, while missing gold bars or cosmetics points to a different account or backend problem.
Season 2 went live on 15 October 2026 at the end of its published maintenance window. Bulkhead later acknowledged that it had deliberately accelerated Season 2 progression and described that decision as “the wrong call.” Its 17 October statement said:
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →“Season 2 was meant to be a fresh start, and for a lot of you it hasn’t felt like one. We sped up progression on deliberately and tried to balance the game better, as set out in the patch notes, but it was the wrong call. Some players are reaching end game gear like Tier 4 armour and MBTs within days, so the wipe never really landed.”
The issue was therefore not a published local-save corruption fix waiting to be discovered. Bulkhead was discussing the pace and effect of a seasonal reset, while players were asking whether their affected progression could be restored. The available Season 2 patch material did not publish a separate out-of-cycle reset schedule.
Which data was reset, and which data should persist?
| Account data | Season-plan treatment | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Cash | Reset at the end of a season; outstanding cash is converted into gold bars | Compare the current cash balance with your last pre-reset screenshot or note |
| XP and role progression | Season-bound progression resets | Record each affected role level, XP amount and unlock |
| Gold bars | Intended to persist across seasons, including bars created by the cash conversion | Verify the same platform and account identity before reporting a missing balance |
| Cosmetics | Intended to persist across seasons | Check the relevant inventory or customization screen for the exact item name |
This distinction matters when you contact support. A cash or XP change at a season boundary follows the published model, even if the accelerated Season 2 progression made the reset feel abrupt. A missing cosmetic or gold-bar balance is not explained by that model and should be reported as a separate account-state issue.
Why reinstalling cannot restore the missing progression
The researched information describes this as server-side progression. It does not publish a local save-file repair, rollback command, or account-restore workflow. A reinstall can replace game files, but it does not recreate an account’s authoritative cash, XP, role levels or unlock history. Deleting local files can also remove useful evidence without changing the server record.
- Do not treat a graphics reset, cache deletion or reinstall as a verified recovery method.
- Do not edit local files or install a tool that claims to rewrite WARDOGS progression.
- Do not give a third party your account credentials or platform tokens.
If Bulkhead later supplies a rollback or compensation command, use only the exact official instructions and version they publish. Until then, preserving an accurate record is safer than repeatedly changing the installation or account.
Step-by-step checks before opening a case
1. Identify exactly what changed
Write down whether the loss is cash, XP, a role level, an unlock, gold bars, a cosmetic, or several categories. Use the game’s current menus to confirm the value rather than relying on a social-media description. The season plan treats cash and XP differently from gold bars and cosmetics, so this first classification determines whether you are seeing an expected seasonal reset or a potential account discrepancy.
2. Confirm the account and platform identity
Restart WARDOGS, sign out only through the normal in-game or platform controls, and verify that you are using the same platform account and profile as before. This is a consistency check, not a promised fix. If you have multiple platform profiles, record the exact one shown when the game loads. Avoid linking, unlinking or migrating accounts while you are trying to establish what happened.
3. Capture the current state
Take screenshots or video that show the account identifier available in the game, the platform profile, cash, gold bars, role levels, XP and the affected unlock or cosmetic. Include the system clock or a written timestamp where practical. Keep the original files unedited. If the game displays an error, maintenance notice or unusual loading message, capture that screen as well.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems4. Build a concise timeline
Record the last time you saw the correct values, the next login, the approximate match or transaction dates, and when you noticed the change. List the role tracks affected and the exact names of missing unlocks. If you bought or earned something shortly before the change, include the transaction or match date and the platform receipt identifier, but do not post payment details publicly.

5. Check the latest official information
Review Bulkhead’s latest official announcement and patch notes for a hotfix, known-issue notice or specific recovery instruction. The currently documented material contains no confirmed player-facing restore command. Patch notes may also clarify whether a backend correction has completed, so record the version and publication date of anything you rely on.
6. Use the official support or community route when one is provided
If Bulkhead opens an investigation path, submit the timeline and evidence together. State the platform, account identifier, last-known values, current values and affected roles in a single report. Keep the account and local files unchanged while the case is reviewed. A second report that changes the facts or omits the original screenshots can make an account-state investigation harder.
The Driver progression correction is not a restoration tool
A launch-day backend correction addressed Driver progression that had been running about 40–50% faster than the other role tracks. The same update path removed or targeted a Driver exploit. This confirms that Bulkhead can change progression rules and backend values, but it does not document a player-side method for restoring an individual account.

Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Do not infer that the Driver correction will recreate levels, cash or unlocks earned before the change. Treat it as a game-wide backend adjustment unless an official notice explicitly says that account data will be rebuilt or compensated.

What you can reasonably expect right now
| Action or event | What it establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Restarting and checking the same account | Whether the displayed state is consistent across sessions | That a reset has been repaired |
| Reinstalling or deleting local files | Only that the local installation was changed | A server rollback or account restoration |
| Checking patch notes | Whether Bulkhead has published a correction or instruction | That an undocumented command exists |
| Reporting with screenshots and timestamps | A documented case for an official investigation | Guaranteed restoration or compensation |
| Using a third-party progression tool | Nothing authoritative about the account | A safe or supported fix |
Was another WARDOGS wipe scheduled that weekend?
Bulkhead said it would not perform a “knee jerk reset” that weekend because doing so would be unfair to players who were already climbing. That statement, dated 17 October 2026, rules out a planned immediate second reset for the 17–18 October weekend based on the available information. It is not a permanent promise that no future reset will occur.
The published Season 2 material did not provide a separate out-of-cycle reset calendar. Consequently, a post-launch hotfix, compensation action or future seasonal reset should be treated as unconfirmed until Bulkhead announces it. Do not use a rumor, a streamer’s prediction or a changed menu value as evidence of a scheduled wipe.

Bulkhead said it was considering bringing Season 3 and some of its content forward significantly, with more details promised in a developer vlog. The available statements do not establish a Season 3 launch date, revised XP requirements or the exact timing of the next reset clock.
- Known: Season 2 launched on 15 October 2026.
- Known: Bulkhead’s response to the accelerated progression was published on 17 October 2026.
- Known: No knee-jerk reset was planned for the 17–18 October weekend.
- Unknown: The Season 3 launch date and whether its timing will be brought forward.
- Unknown: Any revised XP curve, reset window or player-facing rollback process.
When a new announcement appears, check whether it specifies an effective date and the affected data. “Season 3 is coming sooner” does not by itself say whether cash, XP, unlocks, role levels or only cosmetics will change.

How to evaluate a future rollback, hotfix or compensation offer
If Bulkhead publishes more than one remedy, compare the proposals using the same questions rather than assuming that every “reset” restores the same things.
- What data is restored? Look for explicit treatment of cash, XP, unlocks, role levels, gold bars and cosmetics. A cosmetic grant is not equivalent to an XP rollback.
- How broad is the change? Determine whether it applies to every account, only accounts affected by an exploit, or a defined time window.
- What is the timing? Note the rollback window, maintenance period, effective time zone and whether progress made after a cutoff will be discarded.
- What evidence is required? Check whether Bulkhead asks for screenshots, platform identifiers, transaction records or an automated account list. Never send credentials unless the official process explicitly requires a secure sign-in page.
- What kind of remedy is it? Distinguish a hotfix that changes future progression, a compensation grant, and a full seasonal reset. They have different effects on existing accounts.
Protecting your evidence while the issue is investigated
Keep a dated folder containing the original screenshots, a plain-text timeline and any official case number. Write down the values before and after each maintenance window. If a later patch changes the display, retain the earlier files so you can show what was visible at the time.
Avoid actions that create a second variable: do not switch platform accounts, spend a disputed balance, use an exploit, or alter local files while waiting for a response. If you must keep playing, note the date and approximate values of any new progression separately from the values in your report.
The practical verdict
WARDOGS’ documented season model explains a reset of cash and XP progression and conversion of cash into gold bars, while gold bars and cosmetics are intended to persist. Bulkhead acknowledged that accelerated Season 2 progression undermined the fresh-start goal, but it did not publish a player-run rollback or announce another wipe for the 17–18 October weekend. Treat the problem as server-side: verify the account, preserve evidence, monitor official updates and use the official support route if it opens an investigation. Until a dated Bulkhead instruction says otherwise, there is no verified command or local repair that will restore the missing progression.
