The quickest way to find AI-generated songs already saved in your Deezer playlists is Deezer’s free AI Music Detector. Connect Deezer, let it scan your playlists, then use the report to open each affected playlist and remove or replace tracks manually. You can also inspect an album page for Deezer’s “AI-generated content” label. Deezer’s detector is available without a paid subscription, but its published 99.8% accuracy is a Deezer claim rather than an independent audit, and the system is aimed at music made entirely by AI—not every recording that used an AI-assisted tool. Deezer announced a search switch on October 13, 2026 that will hide fully AI-generated tracks, albums and associated artists, but the global rollout is scheduled for before the end of 2026 and may not yet appear on every account.
How do I scan my Deezer playlists for AI-generated tracks?
Use Deezer’s web detector for a playlist-level audit. It identifies detected fully AI-generated tracks in connected playlists and gives you a results view you can use for cleanup.
- Open the detector. Go to Deezer’s AI Music Detector.
- Choose Deezer. The page supports Deezer and other participating streaming services. Select Deezer, then connect the account that contains the playlists you want to check.
- Start the scan. Approve the requested account connection and let the service process your playlists. Keep the browser window open until the scan reports completion.
- Review the results. The report identifies playlists and tracks that Deezer’s system classified as fully AI-generated. Open each result to confirm the playlist and the specific recording before changing anything.
- Share or save the report if useful. Deezer’s June 11, 2026 workflow includes a results-sharing option. A shared report is useful when several people maintain a family, team or public playlist, but it does not itself edit the playlist.
- Edit the playlist in Deezer. Return to the affected playlist, open the track’s options menu, and choose the normal remove-from-playlist command. Add a human-created replacement if you want to preserve the playlist’s mood, tempo or length.
The detector is a web service, so you do not need to install a desktop application. Deezer says it works across 20 major streaming platforms and 27 languages; those figures describe the detector service, not the number of Deezer catalogues or languages in which every label is displayed.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Do I need a paid Deezer subscription to use the detector?
No. Deezer says the detector does not require a Deezer subscription. You still need to connect the relevant streaming account so the service can read its playlists; “free” describes access to the detector, not anonymous scanning of playlists that you cannot access.

Use the account-connection screen carefully if you have more than one Deezer profile. Scanning the wrong profile can produce an apparently clean result simply because the playlists you expected are stored elsewhere. Disconnecting or revoking access later should be done through the account controls offered by Deezer or the connected-service authorization page.
How reliable is Deezer’s AI Music Detector?
Deezer reports 99.8% accuracy and says the system may miss about two of every 1,000 AI-generated tracks. That is Deezer’s published performance claim, not an independently audited benchmark, and it should be treated as a strong signal rather than proof that an unflagged song was made by humans.
Several factors explain why a scan is not an absolute catalogue census:
- The detector is designed to identify fully AI-generated music. A song written, performed or produced by people with limited AI assistance may not be classified the same way.
- Detection is a continuing process. New uploads can be classified after you run a scan, so a clean report is a snapshot of the catalogue and playlists at that time.
- A playlist result tells you what Deezer detected in that playlist; it does not establish that every other recording by the same artist has the same origin.
- Deezer’s accuracy figure does not state the test population, release mix or independent verification method. Do not convert 99.8% into a guarantee for a particular genre, language or upload.
If a track matters to you professionally or legally, keep the detector result alongside the album-page label and the date you checked it. Those records distinguish what Deezer had identified at that point from a claim about the artist’s entire work.
Where can I see Deezer’s “AI-generated content” label?
Open the album page in Deezer’s catalogue and look for the “AI-generated content” label. Deezer introduced this album-level tag in June 2025 for albums containing detected fully AI-generated tracks.
Because the signal is applied at album level, do not assume that every track on a tagged album was generated entirely by AI. Open the track list and consider the label a notice that the album contains one or more detected AI tracks. Conversely, an album without the label is not a declaration that no AI assistance was used anywhere in its production.
The label is most useful when you are browsing, building a new playlist or checking a detector result. It is a catalogue signal, not a replacement for the playlist scan: the detector tells you where the affected tracks are in your connected playlists, while the album page supplies context for a particular release.

How do I remove or replace detected tracks in a playlist?
Deezer’s detector identifies the candidates; playlist editing remains a manual action. This keeps you in control of sequencing and prevents an automatic cleanup from removing a track you intentionally kept.
- From the detector results, note the playlist name, artist and track title.
- Open that playlist in the Deezer app or web player.
- Use the track’s options menu and select the command to remove it from the playlist. The wording can vary slightly between the app and web player, but it is the ordinary playlist-editing control.
- Check the playlist again after saving. A track removed from one playlist can still remain in another playlist, in your favourites or in your library.
- If you want a substitute, search for a human-created recording with a similar genre, artist role, tempo or release period and add it in the same position or at the end, then reorder the list as needed.
- Run the detector again when you have finished a large cleanup. The second scan confirms the playlist state that Deezer can currently classify; it does not guarantee that future uploads will never be added.
Removing a track from a playlist does not delete it from Deezer’s catalogue or prevent someone else from playing it. Deezer’s detected fully AI-generated music can remain available to listeners even when it is excluded from recommendations and editorial playlists.
Can I block AI music in Deezer search?
Deezer announced an on/off search toggle on October 13, 2026. When the switch is available, turning it on will exclude fully AI-generated tracks, albums and associated artists from search results. Turning it off will restore access.
Deezer says the measures will be introduced globally before the end of 2026, but it has not published a precise release date or guaranteed that every account will receive the switch immediately. As of the announcement period, the control may be absent from your app or web player. Until it appears, use the detector for playlists, inspect album labels and remove unwanted tracks manually.
The planned switch is broader than a playlist cleanup because it changes what search returns. It is still narrower than a blanket “no AI was used” setting: Deezer describes the scope as fully AI-generated content, not recordings that include a limited AI-assisted production step.
What happens to AI-generated tracks that Deezer detects?
Detection does not automatically erase the recording. Deezer says detected fully AI-generated tracks remain available for listeners, but they are excluded from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists.
This distinction matters when you manage a playlist. A track you deliberately saved can continue to play from that playlist even though Deezer will not use it to suggest similar music or place it in an editorial collection. Removing it from your playlist is therefore a personal curation choice, not a catalogue takedown.

Deezer’s policy also addresses fraudulent streaming. The company reported that up to 85% of streams on fully AI-generated tracks were identified as fraudulent in 2025 and excluded from royalty calculations. “Up to” describes the highest reported level, not the share for every AI-generated track, genre or artist.

What exactly does Deezer mean by “AI-generated”?
For the detector, labels and announced search filter, Deezer is targeting music generated entirely by AI. That category is different from a human song that used an AI tool for a limited task such as idea generation, editing, mastering or an isolated sound.
An AI label therefore should not be read as a statement that no human participated in the release, nor should an absent label be read as proof that no AI tool was involved. Deezer’s public distinction is about the extent of generation, not a judgment about an artist’s creativity or the legality of a particular workflow.
When deciding what to keep, define your own rule first. You might remove only tracks Deezer identifies as fully generated, remove any album carrying the label, or allow AI-assisted recordings while excluding fully synthetic releases. Applying one rule consistently prevents a mixed playlist from being cleaned arbitrarily.
Which Deezer method should I use to manage AI music?
The right method depends on whether you are auditing playlists, checking a single release or trying to prevent AI content from appearing in search.
| Method | Coverage | Availability | Scope | What you see | Action required |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| AI Music Detector | Connected playlists on Deezer and supported services | Available as a free web tool | Detected fully AI-generated tracks | Scan report with affected playlists and tracks | Open each playlist and remove or replace tracks manually |
| Album-page label | One Deezer album at a time | Introduced in June 2025 | Albums containing detected fully AI-generated tracks | “AI-generated content” label on the album page | Inspect the track list and decide what to keep |
| Search exclusion toggle | Deezer search for tracks, albums and associated artists | Announced October 13, 2026; global rollout planned before the end of 2026 | Fully AI-generated content | Excluded results when the switch is on | Turn the switch on or off when it appears in your account |
| Normal playlist editing | Any playlist you can edit | Available now | Whatever tracks you choose | Your own curated list | Remove, reorder or add replacements |
The detector is the efficient starting point for an existing library. The album label is better for a single release, and the future search toggle is the broadest convenience control once Deezer enables it for your account.
Why is this issue appearing in so many playlists?
Deezer reported that 43% of users switching to Deezer already had AI tracks in their playlists. In a Deezer and Ipsos blind test reported in 2026, 97% of listeners could not distinguish fully AI-generated music from human-created music. Those figures help explain why listening by ear alone is unreliable.

The same survey found that 80% of respondents believed AI-generated music should be clearly labelled. Deezer said it detected and flagged 13.4 million AI-generated tracks in 2025. At the June 2025 launch of its album-tagging approach, Deezer reported that AI-generated material represented 18% of uploads but 0.5% of streams. Upload share and stream share measure different things, so the figures should not be compared as if they were the same audience metric.
By October 2026, Deezer said more than 14 million albums had been tagged. It also reported that more than 42 million AI-generated tracks had been excluded from recommendations between January 2025 and August 2026. These are Deezer’s own operational figures and describe its detection and recommendation systems, not an independently measured total for every streaming service.
What should I do if the detector finds nothing?
A blank result means Deezer did not identify a qualifying fully AI-generated track in the playlists scanned at that time. It does not prove that every recording is entirely human-made, because the detector’s scope excludes some AI-assisted work and Deezer says its accuracy is not perfect.
- Confirm that you connected the correct Deezer account and selected the intended playlists.
- Check whether the scan actually completed rather than ending during authorization or a network interruption.
- Open albums for tracks you are uncertain about and look for the “AI-generated content” label.
- Rescan after a period in which new releases or playlist additions have been made.
- If the concern is search discovery rather than saved playlists, wait for the announced search toggle to reach your account and use it when available.
Do not infer a hidden AI classification from an artist name, cover image, vocal style or unusually frequent releases. Deezer’s label and detector are the relevant signals described for this workflow.
What should I do if an album is labelled but my playlist scan is clean?
First check whether the labelled album’s track is actually in the playlist you scanned. The album-level notice can cover an album that contains a detected AI track while your playlist may contain a different track from that release, or no track from it at all.
Open the album, compare the exact track title and version with the playlist entry, and then decide whether your rule calls for removing that item. If you remove it, check other playlists separately; playlist edits are not a global block on the recording.

How should families or teams maintain a shared playlist?
Assign one person to run the detector and share the results, then agree in advance whether the group removes only fully AI-generated tracks or also avoids albums carrying the album-level label. The person with edit permission can apply the changes while others review replacements.

Keep a simple change log with the playlist name, track, action and date. This is especially useful for public playlists whose followers may ask why a song disappeared, and it prevents repeated debate when Deezer’s classifications change.
How do Deezer’s controls affect recommendations and discovery?
Deezer says detected fully AI-generated tracks are automatically removed from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists. They can still be played directly, saved and kept in a personal playlist until you remove them.
The announced search switch adds an explicit user choice: with it on, fully AI-generated tracks, albums and associated artists should be excluded from search; with it off, they should be searchable again. Because the rollout is still being introduced globally before the end of 2026, recommendation treatment and search visibility are separate controls during the transition.
What is the most practical workflow for a clean, human-focused playlist?
Use a two-pass process rather than relying on a single label.
- Audit. Run the AI Music Detector against every playlist you maintain.
- Verify. Open the relevant album pages and read the “AI-generated content” label, remembering that it is applied at album level.
- Decide. Apply your stated rule: exclude fully AI-generated tracks, exclude labelled albums, or permit AI-assisted human releases.
- Edit. Remove selected tracks with the normal playlist controls and add replacements where the listening experience needs them.
- Check discovery. If the search toggle is present, turn it on for a catalogue-wide exclusion; if it is not present, continue using labels and manual edits.
- Recheck. Scan again after substantial playlist changes or new additions, because a result reflects Deezer’s current classifications.
This workflow separates evidence from preference: Deezer supplies the detector and labels, while you decide what belongs in a playlist.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will Deezer automatically delete an AI-generated song from my playlist?
No. Detection and playlist editing are separate. The scan identifies a candidate, but you must open the playlist and remove or replace the track yourself.
Does an AI-generated album label identify every AI-made track on the album?
No. Deezer applies the notice at album level when detected AI tracks are present. Compare the playlist’s exact track and version before deciding what to remove.
Recommended Free Tools
Can I keep an AI-generated track available without receiving recommendations for it?
Yes. Deezer says detected fully AI-generated tracks can remain available for direct listening and in personal playlists while being excluded from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists.
When will the Deezer search filter be available on my account?
Deezer announced a global introduction before the end of 2026 but gave no precise release date or account-by-account guarantee. If the switch is missing, use the detector, album labels and manual playlist controls.
Does Deezer’s system classify songs that used a small amount of AI assistance?
Its published detector, label and planned search filter target music generated entirely by AI. A human production that used AI for a limited task may not receive the same classification.
