Yes. You can edit a Bluehost AI Store after it has been generated or launched. Use Edit Site in the Bluehost Portal for website pages and visual presentation; use the AI Store Dashboard’s Products tab for catalog listings. When your site changes are ready, publish from the editor. Bluehost’s current publishing guide associates going live and accepting orders and payments with a paid Sell Online plan, so check the plan on your account before publishing.
Which part of the store are you trying to change?
Start by identifying whether the change belongs to the website or the product catalog. These are separate editing routes: the AI Editor handles site pages and some visual changes, while the Products area handles product-listing details. Choosing the right route helps avoid looking for product controls in the page editor, or trying to update page content from a listing.
| What you want to change | Where to go | Documented examples |
|---|---|---|
| Website pages or visual presentation | Bluehost Portal > Websites > choose the store > Edit Site | Add, revise, or remove page content; change site colors; adjust storefront elements such as branding, homepage material, navigation, banners, and featured sections. |
| A product listing | AI Store Dashboard > Products > open the listing | Product name and description, images, pricing, inventory, variants, categories, tags, product relationships, and sales-channel listings. |
The official guidance does not provide one universal control path for every visual element, and editor controls can change. Use the paths and labels above as the documented starting points rather than assuming that every WordPress setting is available.

Bluehost’s AI Store FAQ and website-builder guidance say editing remains available after site creation and launch. Launching the store does not mean its pages are permanently locked. The FAQ was updated July 28, 2026, and the AI Website Builder overview also describes continued editing after creation.
If you manage more than one Bluehost website, verify the site name, domain, or store preview after selecting Edit Site. Editing the wrong site is an avoidable mistake, especially when several stores use similar starter designs. Keep the Portal tab for the intended site open while you work and avoid assuming that the most recently created site is selected automatically.
How can I change page text or colors with the AI Editor?
Use the AI Editor’s prompt or chat controls to describe the change in plain, specific language. Bluehost documents natural-language requests for adding, editing, or removing page content and changing site colors.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
For a more controlled result, describe the location and intended change rather than asking for a broad redesign. For example, identify the page section and explain what information should replace the current copy. For a color change, specify which part of the site should change and the color you want. These examples are ways to make a request clear, not guaranteed prompt syntax or a promise that the editor exposes a particular control.
Useful requests distinguish the action, location, and desired result: replace the homepage introduction, remove an outdated announcement from a banner, add a delivery note to a product-information section, or change the site’s accent color. If a request combines unrelated changes, inspect each affected area carefully. A broad instruction can alter more content than intended.
Review the edited page before publishing. The available documentation does not establish the exact review controls or button labels for every AI Store editor version, so avoid relying on instructions for a different Bluehost product or an assumed WordPress interface. If the first result is not right, refine the request in the editor and inspect the changed page again.
Check practical details during review: headings should still describe the section below them, navigation labels should match the pages they open, promotional copy should not contain an expired date, and color changes should not make text difficult to read. These checks do not require a separate WordPress theme or plugin; they help catch an unintended AI edit before it reaches visitors.

What storefront appearance and structure can I customize?
Bluehost’s AI Store setup checklist recommends customizing the brand identity and the parts of the storefront customers use to browse. The documented areas include:
- Branding: logo, favicon, brand colors, and fonts.
- Homepage: homepage content and featured sections.
- Store navigation: navigation menus that help visitors find pages or products.
- Promotions: banners for store announcements or offers.
The checklist identifies these as useful customization areas; it does not establish a single control location or exact click sequence for each one. Make the change in the editor where the relevant element is available, then inspect the storefront to confirm that the intended element—not unrelated page content—was affected.
Consider the order in which you make these changes. Establish the logo, favicon, colors, and fonts first so later homepage and banner edits use a consistent visual identity. Then review navigation, followed by featured sections and promotional banners. This sequence is a practical way to spot inconsistent branding, but the documented editor does not require a particular order.
Do not assume that changing a homepage section changes the underlying product data. A featured product block may display information from a listing, while the listing itself remains managed under Products. If the product name, price, image, or inventory is wrong, edit the listing directly rather than rewriting only the homepage text.
How do I edit a product listing?
Manage product information separately from page copy in the AI Store Dashboard. Open the product, update its available listing fields, and select Update Product to save.
- Open the AI Store Dashboard.
- Select Products.
- Open the product listing you want to change.
- Edit the relevant available fields: name, description, images, pricing, inventory, variants, categories, tags, product relationships, or sales-channel listings.
- Select Update Product.
Bluehost’s product editing guide, updated August 14, 2026, says saved changes are reflected in the AI Store immediately. That is different from page edits: product changes are saved through Update Product, while website changes are made in the editor and must be published when you are ready for the revised site to be live.
Use the field that matches the information you are correcting. A product name is different from its description; inventory is different from pricing; and a category or tag is different from a product relationship. Variants can represent the available options for one product, while sales-channel listings determine where that product is presented. The guide documents these field types but does not promise that every listing exposes every field or that every account uses identical labels.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
After selecting Update Product, reopen or inspect the listing to confirm the saved value. Pay particular attention to numeric details such as price and inventory, image selection, and variant combinations. Because changes are reflected immediately, an accidental update can appear in the store without the separate page-publishing step used for website edits.
How do I make website edits live?
When page or presentation changes are ready, use Publish in the editor. Bluehost’s publishing guide says publishing makes the store live and able to accept orders and payments, and ties publishing to upgrading to a paid Sell Online plan.
Before publishing, check the account’s current plan and confirm that the edited page is the version you intend to make live. Plan requirements and interface labels can change; the guide documents the publishing flow, but does not establish that every account has identical subscription terms. If the account prompts you to upgrade, review the plan information shown for that account before continuing.
No specific price is established by the publishing instructions cited here. Treat the paid Sell Online requirement as a plan condition, not as a quoted cost. The amount, billing period, promotions, and included features should be verified in the plan information displayed for your account.
Publishing is the final step for page and visual edits, not a substitute for saving a product listing. For a product, select Update Product in the dashboard first. For a page, review the editor version and select Publish when it is ready. Keeping those two save mechanisms separate prevents the common mistake of changing a page and waiting for a product update, or changing a product and looking for a site-wide publish button.

This means the AI Store should not be treated as an unrestricted WordPress installation. If a desired change depends on installing a plugin or switching themes, the documented AI-generated environment does not provide that route. The available guidance does not enumerate every WordPress administrative capability, so do not infer that an undocumented setting is either available or blocked without checking the current account interface or Bluehost support.
Plan the requested result around the supported editor and dashboard first. For example, use the AI Editor for documented copy, color, branding, navigation, banner, and featured-section changes, and use the Products area for catalog fields. Do not promise a client or customer that a third-party plugin, a replacement theme, or an unrestricted WordPress settings panel can be added unless Bluehost explicitly shows that option for the account.
What are the main differences between the two editing routes?
| Route | Object being changed | Save or live behavior | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Edit Site in the Portal | Pages, copy, colors, branding, navigation, banners, and featured presentation | Review in the editor, then use Publish to make page changes live; a paid Sell Online plan may be required for publication. | Storefront structure and customer-facing presentation |
| Products in the AI Store Dashboard | Individual listing data such as name, description, images, pricing, inventory, variants, categories, tags, relationships, and channels | Select Update Product; Bluehost says saved product changes are reflected immediately. | Catalog maintenance and merchandising details |
Use the location of the information as your decision rule: page-level content and presentation belong in Edit Site; information attached to an individual product belongs in the dashboard’s Products area.
A practical editing checklist
- Confirm that you opened the intended store under Websites.
- Classify each requested change as page/presentation work or product-listing work.
- Make page changes with a specific AI Editor request, naming the section and desired result.
- Review branding, navigation, banners, featured sections, and copy for unintended changes.
- For catalog work, open the product under Products and verify each edited field.
- Select Update Product for listing changes and remember that they appear immediately.
- Review page edits in the editor, then confirm the account’s plan and select Publish when ready.
- Recheck the live storefront after publishing or after an immediate product update.
How should you choose the right editing route?
Use the location of the information as your decision rule: page-level content and presentation belong in Edit Site; information attached to an individual product belongs in the dashboard’s Products area.
- If you are changing a headline, page paragraph, site color, banner, navigation, logo, or featured homepage content, begin with Edit Site.
- If you are changing a product’s name, description, image, price, inventory, variant, category, tag, relationship, or channel listing, open that product under Products.
- If the change requires a plugin or theme installation or switch, it conflicts with the documented restrictions of the AI-generated environment.
- If a page edit should be visible to visitors, use Publish after reviewing it and confirming the account’s plan requirements.
Bluehost’s AI Store FAQ was updated July 28, 2026; the AI Editor overview was updated February 9, 2026; the setup checklist was updated September 9, 2026; and the product editing guide was updated August 14, 2026. Because editor labels, restrictions, and plan requirements can change, the current Portal and account-specific plan information take precedence if they differ from those guides.

Can I edit my Bluehost AI Store from a phone?
The Bluehost guidance cited here describes the Portal and editor workflow but does not establish whether all editing controls are supported on a phone or mobile browser. For a task that depends on a particular control, use the current editor interface and confirm that it exposes the option you need.
Can I undo an AI Editor change or restore an earlier version?
The available Bluehost guidance does not specify an undo history or site-version restore procedure for these edits. Do not assume an earlier version can be recovered through the editor; check the current account’s available controls or ask Bluehost support before making a change you may need to reverse.
Can I add a plugin to connect another store feature?
Bluehost says users in the AI-generated WordPress environment cannot install, deactivate, or delete plugins. The product guides do not establish a workaround or list approved alternatives for a particular integration, so check whether the desired capability is available through the store’s existing dashboard before planning around a plugin.
What does publishing cost?
The publishing guide associates going live and accepting orders and payments with a paid Sell Online plan, but the cited instructions do not provide a price. Check the current plan and billing information shown in your Bluehost account; subscription terms can vary and change.
Can I switch to a different WordPress theme?
Bluehost documents that users cannot install or switch themes in the AI-generated WordPress environment. Use the supported editor customization areas instead, or ask Bluehost whether your account has another documented path.
Why can’t I find a product price or inventory control in the page editor?
Product fields are managed separately. Open the AI Store Dashboard, select Products, open the listing, edit the available field, and select Update Product. The page editor is intended for website content and presentation rather than catalog records.
The Bottom Line
Edit the storefront through Bluehost Portal > Websites > Edit Site, and maintain catalog records through AI Store Dashboard > Products. Product updates appear after Update Product; page changes require Publish, with a paid Sell Online plan associated with going live and accepting orders. Plugin installation and theme switching are restricted in the AI-generated WordPress environment.
