Samsung’s current US comparison covers Galaxy Buds4 Pro, Galaxy Buds4, and Galaxy Buds3 FE. The Pro model is the place to start if you want Samsung’s more advanced audio and noise-control options; a less feature-heavy model may make more sense if you mainly need everyday listening. Check support for the exact features you want before buying: Bluetooth connection does not mean every Samsung feature works on every phone.
Which Galaxy Buds should you buy?
Samsung’s current US lineup comparison lists Galaxy Buds4 Pro, Galaxy Buds4, and Galaxy Buds3 FE. The right choice depends less on the model name than on fit, device compatibility, and whether you will use its extra functions. Lineups and availability can differ by country, so use your local Samsung product page to confirm what is sold where you live.
Galaxy Buds4 Pro: choose it for the advanced feature set
Start with Galaxy Buds4 Pro if you specifically want Samsung’s top-tier audio and noise-control options. Some advanced functions depend on a compatible Galaxy device, so check the feature chart before paying for capabilities your phone cannot use. Samsung lists Buds4 Pro at 61 mAh per earbud and 530 mAh for its case, with an IP57 rating. Those capacity figures are battery specifications, not estimates of listening time.
Galaxy Buds4: consider the alternative fit and feature balance
Compare Buds4 if you prefer its design or do not need the Pro model’s additional features. Samsung lists 45 mAh per earbud and a 515 mAh case, and an IP54 rating for the earbuds. Samsung specifically says the Buds4 case is not covered by that IP54 rating.

Galaxy Buds3 FE: compare before deciding on value
Buds3 FE is another model in Samsung’s current US comparison. Samsung lists 53 mAh per earbud, a 515 mAh case, and an IP54 rating. Do not infer battery life or overall value from capacity or rating alone; compare current local pricing, availability, and the features you will actually use.
| Model in Samsung’s current US comparison | Earbud battery capacity | Case battery capacity | Listed rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Buds4 Pro | 61 mAh | 530 mAh | IP57 |
| Galaxy Buds4 | 45 mAh | 515 mAh | IP54; earbuds only |
| Galaxy Buds3 FE | 53 mAh | 515 mAh | IP54 |
These are Samsung US product specifications in its current comparison, accessed October 4, 2026—not independent performance measurements. Battery capacity in mAh is not playback time. For Buds4, the IP54 claim applies to the earbuds rather than the case. Check Samsung’s current US comparison for specifications and availability where you shop.

Will Galaxy Buds work with your iPhone or Android device?
Most Galaxy Buds can connect to devices beyond Samsung phones using Bluetooth, but the available controls and advanced features differ by model, operating system, and device. Before buying, separate the basic question—can the earbuds pair for audio?—from the more useful one: can your device run the specific functions you want?
Samsung Galaxy devices
Samsung’s Buds4 FAQ says Buds4 Pro works with compatible Android devices through the Galaxy Wearable app. Feature access still depends on the particular Galaxy device and software. Samsung’s compatibility chart, dated February 19, 2026, separates support for Galaxy devices, other Android devices, and Bluetooth devices; consult it for the exact feature rather than assuming every Galaxy-branded product supports every function.

Other Android phones
Samsung says compatible Android devices can use the Galaxy Wearable app with Buds4 Pro. However, its FAQ lists functions unavailable on Android devices using the Wearable app, including HD Voice, 24-bit/96-kHz audio, 360 Audio, 360 Audio Recording, Bixby/Gemini wake-up, Interpreter/Live Translate, Head Gestures, and Gaming Mode. The list is model- and software-dependent; check Samsung’s current FAQ and device chart for the Buds model and phone you plan to use.
iPhone, PC, and other Bluetooth devices
Samsung describes iOS devices as connecting by Bluetooth, like PCs, game consoles, and other Bluetooth audio devices. For Buds4, Samsung says Bluetooth-connected iOS devices and PCs support 16-bit/44-kHz audio, standard call quality, ANC, and Ambient Mode. Samsung’s iOS support guidance says its Galaxy Buds app works only with select older models—Galaxy Buds Live and Buds+ in the listed support article—while newer models connect over Bluetooth. Check the support page for current iOS and device requirements.

Samsung says Buds4 Interpreter and Live Translate require compatible Galaxy devices. The earbuds alone do not enable those functions on an iPhone or generic Bluetooth device. Samsung’s Buds4 FAQ, iOS support guidance, and feature availability chart explain compatibility; features may change with software updates.
How should you compare fit and noise control?
Fit affects both comfort and how well an earbud seals. First decide whether you want an open-style design or an in-ear fit that seals the ear canal; then try the available tips and adjust positioning. A poor seal can contribute to sound leakage, so do not choose by feature list alone if fit is uncertain.

Use Samsung’s fit test when your model supports it
Samsung’s fit test is available in Buds settings for Galaxy Buds4 Pro, Buds3 Pro, Buds2 Pro, and Buds2. It checks positioning and possible sound leakage. If the result is poor, adjust the earbuds and retry. The test can help assess placement and seal, but it cannot predict whether a particular shape will stay comfortable during ordinary use.
For model-specific noise features, compare ANC, Ambient Mode, and any adaptive functions separately from audio-resolution claims. Some advertised features require a compatible phone; Samsung’s fit-test instructions and feature chart cover support details.

Battery capacity and playback duration are different measurements. The mAh figures in Samsung’s comparison describe capacity for each earbud and the case; they do not by themselves establish how many hours you will listen. Usage and model-specific conditions matter when comparing manufacturer playback claims, so rely on the exact claim and its stated conditions rather than converting capacity into listening time.
Likewise, check which part of the product a durability rating applies to. Samsung’s Buds4 information explicitly limits IP54 to the earbuds, not the charging case. Do not assume a case shares the earbuds’ protection rating. Samsung’s comparison provides the listed Buds4 Pro and Buds3 FE ratings, but ratings should be checked against the relevant model and local product documentation.
What if you lose or damage one earbud?
Samsung says an individual lost or damaged earbud may be available for purchase or replacement. Its procedure requires coupling the new bud with the remaining bud in the charging case, then connecting to a mobile device and checking for software updates. Availability and compatibility can depend on the exact model, so confirm both with Samsung before buying a single replacement. Follow Samsung’s earbud replacement and coupling instructions.
Quick Recap
A practical checklist before buying
- Choose the fit style you are most likely to wear comfortably, and try the fit test if your model supports it.
- Write down the features you actually need—such as ANC, Ambient Mode, or a particular audio or AI function—and verify each against your phone and the exact Buds model.
- For an iPhone, treat Galaxy Buds primarily as Bluetooth earbuds and confirm whether restricted app or advanced-feature access is acceptable.
- Compare current prices and availability on your local Samsung page; US lineup details may not match your region.
- Read battery claims as model-specific manufacturer figures with their test conditions, not as guarantees of your real-world listening time.
- Check whether durability ratings apply to earbuds, case, or both, and confirm replacement-bud availability if single-bud repair matters to you.
