The fastest way to find an Indian game-business partner is to make three separate shortlists: publishers for distribution, marketing, monetization, or live operations; investors whose thesis matches your studio; and development partners that can deliver a defined production work package. Start with the Game Developer Association of India (GDAI) Indie Connect community, use the India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) Investor–Publisher Connect for curated meetings when its intake is open, and compare GDAI Supernova with the KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) if you need mentorship or milestone-based support. Then verify each company’s current services, eligibility, intake status, platform experience, and contract terms before sending a pitch. The lists below are leads to qualify, not promises that any organization will accept, finance, publish, or co-develop your game.
At a glance
| Name | Best for | Key spec | Platforms | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| IGDC Investor–Publisher Connect | Curated business meetings | Screened applications, five-minute fast pitches and mentor sessions; the listed 10 October 2026 deadline had passed by 30 October 2026 | Original mobile, PC, console and XR games | Oct 2026 |
| GDAI Indie Connect | Showcasing a game and finding collaborators, mentors or teammates | Community and event-network discovery rather than a funding offer | Not stated | Oct 2026 |
| GDAI Supernova | Pre-revenue original-IP studios needing mentorship and introductions | Free, three-month program; no direct GDAI funding | Not stated | Oct 2026 |
| KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) | Eligible India-based teams seeking structured support | Program states milestone-based financial support of $50,000–$150,000; eligibility and milestones apply | Mobile games in beta or soft launch and PC games with live demos and early traction are included in its expanded mandate | Oct 2026 |
What kind of partner do you actually need?
Decide the role before you search. A publisher, an investor and a development studio can all appear in the same industry directory, but they solve different problems and expect different information from you.
| Partner role | What you are asking for | Evidence to prepare | Questions to ask |
|---|---|---|---|
| Publisher | Distribution, user acquisition, monetization advice, launch support or live operations | Playable build or trailer, target audience, platform, launch plan and commercial goals | Which territories, platforms and genres do you support? What marketing and live-ops capabilities are actually available? Who owns and controls the IP? |
| Investor | Capital aligned with a fund’s thesis and stage | Team, product, traction or development evidence, budget, milestones and financing requirement | Does the thesis cover your category and stage? What milestones must capital fund? What reporting and governance are expected? |
| Development partner | Contracted art, engineering, co-development, integration, testing or production capacity | Detailed scope, platform, art style, technical requirements, schedule, acceptance criteria and budget | Can the team show comparable work? Who supplies the staff? How are reviews, milestones, handoff and IP handled? |
EY’s May 2025 India media-and-entertainment report separates IP-driven studios, publishing companies and service/game-development studios. Its examples are useful starting points, but they are not a current submission directory or proof that a named organization is accepting projects now. Read the EY report alongside each candidate’s current website and contact instructions.

Use IGDC for screened business matchmaking
IGDC’s Investor–Publisher Connect is designed for one-to-one meetings between selected studios and relevant investors or publishers. The program describes five-minute fast-pitch interactions and mentor sessions, and encourages Indian developers making original mobile, PC, console or XR games to apply when an intake is open. Applications are screened using factors such as originality, development stage, commercial potential, team capability and partner fit.

- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The page listed 10 October 2026 as the submission deadline. That date had passed by the 30 October 2026 information date, so do not tell readers that applications are still open or assume that a later intake has been announced. The wider 2026 conference was reported for 28–31 October in Chennai. Selected matchmaking participants need a valid IGDC pass, and having a pass does not ensure selection. Check the official IGDC Investor–Publisher Connect page for a new deadline, current eligibility and pass requirements before applying.
Use GDAI Indie Connect to widen your network
GDAI describes Indie Connect as a place where creators can showcase games and find collaborators, mentors and teams. Its main site described more than 200 member studios as observed in 2026; that is the association’s self-description, not an independently audited industry census. Membership and event access can help you discover people to approach, but neither establishes funding, a publishing offer or automatic access to an IGDC meeting.
Use official program pages to identify stage-appropriate support
Programs are easier to evaluate when you separate introductions from capital. Supernova is described as a free, three-month program for pre-revenue studios with original IP. It provides mentorship and introductions, while its FAQ explicitly says the program does not provide direct GDAI funding. KIGI is a separate program: its published requirements include an India-based, registered company, a concept document, a prototype or demo and a pitch deck. Its expanded mandate mentions mobile games in beta or soft launch and PC games with live demos and early traction. The program states milestone-based financial support of $50,000–$150,000, which is a stated range rather than an automatic award.

Which Indian publishers should you research?
Build a publisher shortlist around the service you need, not fame alone. The EY category list names Nazara, JetSynthesys and nCore among publishing companies. A December 2023 exchange filing from Nazara documented publishing partnerships with four Indian studios involving five games; that demonstrates activity at that time, not current acceptance terms. Treat every historical partnership as a lead to re-qualify.
Felicity
Felicity’s site invites game submissions and describes growth support focused on distribution, monetization and live operations. Before sending a build, confirm that its submission form is active, that your genre and platform fit, and what materials it currently requests. The publicly visible information does not establish acceptance rates, standard commercial percentages or a guaranteed response.

How to qualify a publisher
- Ask which platforms, territories and genres are active in its current portfolio.
- Request examples of user acquisition, monetization or live-operations work relevant to your game.
- Clarify whether the relationship is publishing, co-development, marketing services or a combination.
- Ask who controls pricing, updates, community accounts, localization and post-launch decisions.
- Have the publisher explain its submission channel and whether unsolicited pitches are accepted.
Which investors are worth researching?
An investor is a fit only when your game and company match the fund’s stated thesis, stage and geography. Lumikai says its thesis covers first-principles gaming studios, new-media content, platforms and infrastructure, making it a researchable example for teams in those areas. Reporting connected to IGDC 2026 also identified Makers Fund, Elevation and Prime Venture Partners among investors associated with the matchmaking program. Association with an event does not prove that a fund is currently investing in your stage or reviewing unsolicited pitches.
Build a thesis-fit brief
For each fund, write a one-sentence reason your company belongs in its mandate. Reference the product category, platform, geography, stage and evidence of demand. Then state the amount sought, the milestones it funds and the next financing decision it enables. Do not lead with a generic request for money: investors need to see why the opportunity fits their strategy and how capital changes the company’s position.
Do not infer terms from a name on a roster
Fund participation in a conference, a directory listing or a past investment is a discovery signal only. Recheck the fund’s current portfolio, thesis wording, partner contacts and application route. The available material does not establish standard valuations, ownership percentages, guaranteed response times or acceptance rates, so do not publish or negotiate from invented benchmarks.
How do you evaluate an Indian development partner?
Service studios are production suppliers, not substitutes for a publisher or an investor. EY lists Juego Studio, Lakshya Digital, Capermint and Yudiz among service/game-development studios. Lakshya’s own site describes 2D and 3D art, animation, managed services, integration and VFX, and claims more than 175 AAA titles delivered; that number is the company’s portfolio claim, not an independent audit.
Match capability to your work package
- Ask for work on the same platform, engine, art discipline or technical system, rather than a general logo list.
- Define the deliverable: for example, a character-art batch, a port, a multiplayer feature or a complete co-development milestone.
- Specify review rounds, source-file handoff, build integration, acceptance tests and the person who signs off.
- Check capacity for your dates and whether the proposed staff are employees, contractors or shared across projects.
- Put ownership, confidentiality, payment timing, change control and termination rights in the contract.
GDAI’s Supernova cohort pages also name emerging original-IP studios. Those teams can be useful peer leads, but cohort participation does not mean a studio offers commercial co-development services. Confirm capacity and business model directly.

Should you choose Supernova or KIGI?
Choose based on stage and the kind of help you need. Supernova is an introductions-and-mentorship route for pre-revenue original-IP studios; KIGI is a separate incubator whose published materials describe eligibility requirements and milestone-based financial support.
| Criterion | GDAI Supernova | KIGI |
|---|---|---|
| Typical fit | Pre-revenue original-IP studio | India-based, registered company meeting the program’s stage and material requirements |
| Program length or support | Three months; participation is free | Program states $50,000–$150,000 in milestone-based financial support |
| Direct funding | None from GDAI, according to its FAQ | Support is conditional on eligibility and milestones, not guaranteed to every applicant |
| Required materials | Application materials specified by the current cohort page | Concept document, prototype or demo and pitch deck; the deck covers team, concept, timeline, budget, needed support and business goals |
| Stage notes | Original IP before revenue | Expanded mandate includes mobile beta or soft-launch games and PC games with live demos and early traction |
How do you build and contact a shortlist?
Use this workflow to keep publisher, investor and production conversations separate while reusing the factual parts of your pitch.
- Write the ask in one sentence. State whether you want publishing and market access, investment, or a defined art/engineering work package. Record platform, genre, development stage, target market, budget or funding need and preferred relationship.
- Collect candidates from several channels. Start with the EY category list, GDAI community and program pages, company portfolios and relevant event-participant information. A candidate must then pass a current-fit check on its own site.
- Score practical fit. Record supported platforms and genres, geography, accepted stage, type of support, evidence of comparable work, contact route and any current deadline. Mark unknown items as questions rather than filling them with assumptions.
- Prepare a compact package. Include a pitch deck, gameplay footage or trailer and a playable build when one exists. Keep a short version for first contact and a fuller version for a meeting.
- Tailor the message. Discuss audience, launch and live operations with a publisher; thesis, milestones and financing need with an investor; and scope, schedule and acceptance criteria with a service studio.
- Request a specific next step. Ask for a qualification call, submission review, meeting application or request-for-quote response. A clear next action is more useful than a mass email with no decision point.
- Verify before committing. Confirm current intake, fees, meeting requirements, ownership treatment, deliverables and payment terms directly with the organization. Do this again immediately before signing or sharing sensitive material.
What should your pitch deck and build show?
IGDC’s selection factors and KIGI’s stated deck requirements point to a practical minimum package. The deck should let a reader understand the game, the team, the plan and the business case without a live explanation.
- Game: genre, hook, core loop, audience, platform and current screenshots or video.
- Stage: prototype, vertical slice, beta, soft launch or live product, with a dated milestone plan.
- Team: responsibilities, relevant shipped work and the production capacity available for the next milestone.
- Business: target market, monetization approach, launch assumptions and the evidence supporting demand.
- Request: the amount of funding, publishing help or production scope required, and exactly what it pays for.
- Goals: measurable next milestones, decision dates and the outcome that would justify further investment or a broader publishing plan.
For a publisher, show the audience and launch opportunity. For an investor, show why the company can reach a valuable milestone. For a development partner, attach a statement of work with assets, technical constraints, review process and handoff requirements. A playable build is valuable where available, but do not delay a clear qualification conversation while polishing a nonessential feature.
What should you compare before choosing?
Use one comparison sheet so that an attractive meeting does not hide an unsuitable deal. The same axes work for all three partner types, with different answers expected in each row.

You contact the wrong category
If a publisher asks about a production schedule or a service studio asks for an investment thesis, restate the ask and move to the correct shortlist. Sending the same message to all three categories signals that you have not defined the relationship.
You assume an event participant is available
Event rosters and historical partnerships are leads, not standing offers. Check the organization’s current site, contact and intake language before forwarding a build or promising a date.
You treat an application as a meeting
IGDC applications are screened, and selection depends on fit and availability. Keep other outreach active and prepare for a pass requirement rather than assuming that submission creates an appointment.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteYou mistake introductions for money
Supernova provides mentorship and introductions but no direct GDAI funding. KIGI’s published support range is milestone-based. Label capital, introductions and paid services separately in your planning document.

You send an incomplete package
A deck without a build, footage or clear milestone request makes it difficult to judge readiness. Add the strongest available evidence, identify what is still in production and state the precise decision you want from the recipient.
How do you keep the information current?
Set a refresh date for every candidate. Recheck program eligibility, application links, event deadlines, membership fees, participant rosters, services and contact channels before publication or outreach. The IGDC page reviewed for this guide did not state when the next studio intake would open after 10 October 2026. Felicity’s submission content also needs a current check before you give readers step-by-step instructions. A dated note such as “checked Oct 2026” is more honest than presenting a historical listing as a permanent offer.
Finally, keep evidence attached to each claim: a current official program page for eligibility, a company portfolio for capabilities, and a dated filing or announcement for historical partnerships. That discipline prevents a directory name from becoming an accidental promise.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does applying to IGDC guarantee meetings?
No. The organizer screens applications, and a meeting depends on selection, mutual interest and participant availability. Selected participants also need a valid IGDC pass, so budget and plan for that requirement separately.
Can I indicate which investors or publishers I want to meet at IGDC?
The organizer’s FAQ says applicants may indicate preferences. Final pairings still depend on mutual interest and availability, so name-fit preferences rather than treating them as booking requests.
What should I do if the IGDC application deadline has passed?
As of 30 October 2026, the reviewed page gave no later studio-intake date. Monitor the official page, keep your deck and build ready, and use GDAI Indie Connect to continue finding collaborators and contacts in the meantime.
How much does GDAI membership cost?
The checked GDAI page listed individual and indie membership at ₹500 per year, corporate membership at ₹10,000 and investor membership at ₹25,000. Prices can change, and membership does not establish automatic inclusion of an IGDC pass.
Is KIGI’s $50,000–$150,000 support guaranteed for every applicant?
No. That is the program’s stated milestone-based range, subject to its eligibility and assessment process. Treat it as potential program support, not committed financing, until you receive written terms.
