The available official information does not establish a technical winner among them. Choose based on your existing setup and preferred storefront rather than assuming one version has better frame rates, resolution, loading, or other performance characteristics.

Choose PS5 or Switch 2 if you want a physical copy
SEGA’s official site lists physical editions only for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2. A PS5 physical edition is listed for February 18, 2027; the Switch 2 physical edition is listed for May 20, 2027. If owning a disc or cartridge matters, these are the listed choices. Check regional retailer listings for stock, final edition details, and local pricing.
Wait for Switch 2 if that is your preferred console
The Switch 2 version’s listed date is May 20, 2027, later than the February 18 date for the other listed platforms. Choose it if playing on Switch 2 is more important to you than playing on the earlier date. The official material cited here does not compare Switch 2 performance or portability with other versions.
Consider Game Pass only after checking your local catalog
SEGA lists Xbox Game Pass alongside the game’s platform options, but the available listing does not verify region-specific inclusion or subscription terms. Before treating it as your cheapest route, check the catalog and the terms for your country and plan. If it is not included where you live, compare the local store price with your other purchase options.

The US PS5 store page discloses basic controller remapping, adjustable difficulty, and options to play without rapid or simultaneous button presses, among other accessibility features. Those are claims for the PS5 listing; they do not establish that the other versions offer identical controls or options. If you depend on a particular feature, check the store page for the version you plan to use.

What the official information does—and does not—tell you
SEGA describes Persona 4 Revival as a remake of Persona 4 Golden with enhanced graphics, UI, combat, and cutscenes, reimagined through a modern lens. That description is from the publisher, not an independent platform comparison. The official materials cited here do not provide comparative benchmarks for resolution, frame rate, load times, or cross-save behavior, so those should not determine a platform choice unless you find version-specific information from another reliable source.
For context, SEGA reported in its June 8, 2026 announcement that worldwide cumulative sales for the Persona series had exceeded 30 million units.
