  1. Right-clcik Start menu and select Settings.

  1. Then, on the Windows Settings page, click System.
  1. On the left pane of System Settings page, click Storage.
  1. When the Storage page opens, wait for Windows Storage to calculate space usage. The main page will display storage usage for drive C:
  2. To see the what is taking up space, look at the various categories.
  1. To drill down a particular category, click on the category.
In this example, I want to see what is taking up space in the Documents category.
  1. When the category opens, click View documents (for Documents).
Apps & features will display the space used by each app.
  1. To view more categories, scroll down and click Show more categories.
  1. However, if you wish to see how other drives, other than drive C: are used, scroll down to More storage settings and click View storage usage on other drives.
  1. Then, to view storage usage on a drive, click on the drive.
You can also change where contents are saved, return to the Storage page, scroll down to More storage settings and click Change where new content is saved.
  1. Finally, for each category, click the drop-down and select the drive to store new content for that category.
