In Cyberpunk 2077, open the radio window to choose a station and change its loudness. Radioport lets you do this while walking around Night City or riding the NCART train, and the game switches to the vehicle radio when you enter a car. For faster changes, enable Settings → Gameplay → Radioport → Cycle Stations with Button Press; then use the Radioport button shown in your current control mapping. Because defaults differ by platform, keyboard layout, and custom bindings, check the Controls menu rather than relying on a universal key.
What is Radioport in Cyberpunk 2077?
Radioport is the feature that allows V to listen to the game’s radio without being inside a vehicle. It was introduced with Update 2.1 and supports listening while exploring on foot or riding the NCART train. When V enters a vehicle, Radioport transitions to that vehicle’s radio.
The feature is more than a way to start music. Its radio window contains the direct volume control, and its Gameplay settings can add a dedicated station-cycling command, keep playback active after leaving a vehicle, or remember the station selected before a save is loaded. Quest-specific music takes priority and turns the radio off while that music is playing.

Open the in-game radio window, highlight the station you want, and confirm the selection. This is the dependable method when you do not know the current Radioport button or have changed your controls.

Change a station while walking
- Start moving through Night City on foot.
- Open the radio window using the Radioport control shown in your current Controls menu.
- Move through the available stations in the window.
- Confirm the station you want. Playback changes immediately unless a quest is currently supplying its own music.
The exact button is not universal. A controller layout, a remapped keyboard, and a regional keyboard layout can all produce different inputs, so use the binding displayed by your installation instead of a key listed for another platform.
Change a station while riding NCART
Radioport also works while riding the NCART train. Open the same radio window and select a station; you do not need to enter a vehicle to use the feature.
Change a station in a vehicle
When you enter a vehicle, the game transitions from Radioport to the vehicle radio. Open the radio window from the vehicle and select another station in the same way. If the vehicle’s radio is unavailable during a scripted sequence, the sequence’s music takes precedence.
How can I cycle stations without opening the radio menu?
Enable Cycle Stations with Button Press. After it is enabled, pressing the Radioport button cycles through stations directly, which is quicker while driving or moving through a busy area.
- Pause the game and open Settings.
- Choose Gameplay.
- Open the Radioport section.
- Turn on Cycle Stations with Button Press.
- Return to the game and use the Radioport button shown in your current control mapping to move through stations.
This option changes how the existing Radioport input behaves; it does not create a new universal keyboard key. If the command does nothing, inspect the current Radioport binding in Settings → Controls, especially after changing layouts or installing a patch.

How do I adjust music volume?
Adjust radio loudness directly in the radio window. This is the documented in-game control for changing the radio’s volume.
- Open the radio window while walking, riding NCART, or inside a vehicle.
- Locate the volume control displayed in that window.
- Move the volume level up or down until the music sits correctly against the rest of the game’s sound.
- Close the window or return to play; the selected radio level remains active for that session.
The radio-window control is separate from changing stations. If you only need louder or quieter music, there is no reason to cycle stations or alter the station-cycling setting.
Why can the vehicle radio sound different from other audio?
Update 2.01 included a game-level adjustment intended to prevent the vehicle radio from being too quiet compared with other sounds. CD Projekt Red also advised players who had previously lowered other sounds to rebalance their mix. That patch note is historical context, not a promise that every current platform, audio device, or personal mix will have identical loudness.
What is the difference between menu selection and button cycling?
Both methods select the same stations. The radio window gives you visibility and access to the volume control, while button cycling is faster once you know the order of stations.

Use the menu when you are unsure which station is active or need to adjust loudness. Use cycling when you already know the station order and want fewer interruptions.

Which Radioport settings are useful?
The Radioport category under Gameplay contains more than the station-cycle switch. Each option solves a different listening problem.

These settings are independent. You can enable station cycling without synchronizing to the vehicle radio, or save a station without using button cycling.
How does Radioport behave on foot, on NCART, and in vehicles?
On foot
Radioport makes radio playback available during ordinary on-foot exploration. Open the radio window to choose a station or adjust its volume, and use the optional cycle command if you prefer not to open the window repeatedly.
On the NCART train
The same on-foot Radioport behavior applies while riding NCART. You can listen during the trip and operate the radio window rather than waiting until you reach a vehicle.
After entering a vehicle
Entering a vehicle transitions playback to that vehicle’s radio. If you want music to continue when you later exit, enable Sync to Vehicle Radio in the Radioport settings.

During quest-specific music
Radioport turns off when quest-specific music starts. This is an intentional gameplay transition, not necessarily a station or volume failure. Once the scripted music ends, test the Radioport control again.
Which platforms and versions include these controls?
The Update 2.1 announcement describing Radioport covers Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Update 2.11 documents the Radioport settings, including station cycling, vehicle synchronization, and saved-station behavior. Update 2.12 fixed a PC-specific problem with rebinding Radioport on AZERTY keyboards.
The patch notes do not establish one current default key or button for every platform, keyboard layout, or future version. A guide that lists one universal input can therefore be wrong for your installation. Use the Controls menu in the version you are playing to identify the active Radioport command.

The station does not change when I press a button
- Open Settings → Gameplay → Radioport and verify that Cycle Stations with Button Press is enabled if you are trying to cycle without opening the window.
- Open Settings → Controls and check which input is assigned to Radioport.
- If you recently changed a keyboard layout or custom binding, recheck the assignment and test it outside a scripted sequence.
- If the command still fails, open the radio window directly. This separates a binding problem from a station or playback problem.
The radio-window volume control is missing or has no effect
- Confirm that you opened the radio window rather than a general pause or sound menu; the documented radio loudness control is located in the radio window.
- Test while freely exploring. Quest-specific music can turn the radio off and prevent normal radio behavior.
- After changing the level, leave and reopen the radio window to verify that the selected value is still displayed.
The vehicle radio sounds unusually quiet
Remember that Update 2.01 changed the game-level vehicle-radio mix because it had been too quiet relative to other sounds. If you lowered other audio categories before that adjustment, rebalance them rather than assuming the radio control itself is broken.

Check Settings → Gameplay → Radioport → Sync to Vehicle Radio. That option is specifically intended to keep music playing after leaving a vehicle; without it, the transition may not match the behavior you want.

My AZERTY keyboard will not accept a Radioport rebind
Update 2.12 addressed a PC-specific AZERTY rebinding issue. Confirm that the game is running a version containing that fix, then inspect the Radioport entry in the current Controls menu and assign the input again. Do not substitute a QWERTY key name for the key shown by your layout.
Do I need extra hardware to change stations or volume?
No. Station selection, Radioport cycling, and radio-volume adjustment are built into the game menus and settings. A printed guide, replacement controller, headset, speakers, or other accessory is not required for this task; any controller or audio equipment you already use only changes how you interact with or hear the built-in controls.

If a command differs from an online guide, trust the binding displayed in your own Controls menu, particularly on custom or AZERTY layouts.

Do I need a special controller, headset, or speakers to change radio volume?
No. The station and volume controls are part of the game interface, so the built-in menus are sufficient. Your existing controller or audio device affects input or playback, but no dedicated accessory is required.
Are the Radioport controls available on PS4 or Xbox One?
The cited Update 2.1 announcement specifies PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It does not establish equivalent Radioport behavior for PS4 or Xbox One, so do not assume that a control guide for the newer platforms applies to those consoles.
Why might the button shown in a guide not match my keyboard?
Radioport inputs follow your active platform, layout, and custom bindings. Open the current Controls menu to see the command assigned on your system; this is especially important for AZERTY keyboards, whose PC rebinding behavior received a fix in Update 2.12.
