Is the Hisense HRCD454BW discontinued, and can you still buy one?

- −18°C: suitable for the manufacturer’s frozen-storage use case.
- −12°C: useful when you want a less-cold frozen zone for foods you plan to use sooner.
- −5°C: can provide a semi-frozen holding area, but follow food-safety guidance for the specific food and storage duration.

Hisense describes Twin Cooling as separate refrigerator and freezer cooling, with Multi Air Flow (also described as All Around Cooling) distributing cold air through the cabinet. Separate circuits are intended to reduce direct air exchange between fresh and frozen sections, while multiple vents help spread cooled air beyond one outlet.
Those labels describe the system design; they do not establish independent temperature-stability, recovery-time or humidity results. CHOICE’s public listing confirms a 2023 test entry but gates the detailed scores and does not expose the temperature, evenness, range or running-cost results used in its member report.
Does the water dispenser need plumbing?

- Measure the opening: record the narrowest width, lowest ceiling height and usable depth, including skirting boards and benchtop overhangs.
- Add ventilation clearances: reserve the Hisense 50mm side and rear gaps and 100mm above unless the installation guide for your serial number specifies otherwise.
- Check door swing: open both French doors and pull out every drawer to ensure handles, walls and an island do not obstruct them.

Multiply the claimed 363kWh/year by your electricity tariff to create a rough comparison. For example, at A$0.30 per kWh, the arithmetic would be about A$108.90 per year, but that is a calculation from the claimed figure, not a guarantee of this refrigerator’s bill.
