When will GTA 6 release on PC?
There is no official PC release date. The November 19, 2026 date is for the announced PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, not a PC launch.
Tom’s Hardware and TechRadar have repeated a report that Rockstar is targeting Q1 2027 for a PC version. Q1 means January through March 2027. The report attributes the target to four anonymous sources familiar with the studio’s plans; Rockstar and Take-Two have not confirmed it. It is therefore a reported target, not a date you can safely use to schedule a purchase, vacation, or hardware upgrade.
The difference matters: an official launch date is a commitment from the publisher, while an anonymous-source report may describe a plan that changes or never becomes a public release. What are the GTA 6 PC requirements?

Do not convert the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S hardware into a pretend PC specification. Console and PC versions can differ in graphics settings, rendering APIs, performance targets, asset handling, and optimization. A port may also have its own configuration options and technical behavior. Without a published PC version and specifications, comparing console components with a desktop CPU or GPU does not establish a trustworthy minimum.
Likewise, no installation-size figure is available from the researched official information. Keep adequate free space on an SSD if you already have one, but do not buy a drive based on a rumored GTA 6 download size. Wait for Rockstar’s PC listing or requirements to state the storage need.

Until then, ordinary maintenance is reasonable but should not be mistaken for a compatibility fix. Keep your operating system, graphics drivers, BIOS, and game-launcher software current when updates are appropriate for your system. Do not assume that a future PC version will arrive in Q1 2027, include particular PC features, or be a more technically advanced edition. Those are not confirmed. Rockstar announced Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC on October 4, 2019, with a November 5, 2019 release date. Its announcement also described graphical and technical enhancements for the PC version.
