There is no single edition to assume includes all three Gothic classics. Gothic I, II, and III are separate products, and platform availability, language support, controller information, and cloud-save features differ by game and edition. Compare the exact store listing for the game and platform you want before buying.
Which Gothic trilogy edition should I buy?
Choose by individual game and platform: the classic trilogy is not one unified digital bundle in the listings described by the publisher. THQ Nordic announced separate console releases with separate dates and prices. Its April 14, 2026 announcement set Gothic Classic for July 28, Gothic II Complete Classic for September 29, and Gothic III Classic for November 24, each at €29.99 per announced console classic. The publisher’s franchise schedule lists Gothic II Classic for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and Gothic III Classic for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. Since those dates may have passed and schedules or store status can change, check the current regional store listing rather than treating a scheduled date as proof of availability. THQ Nordic’s announcement and its franchise schedule provide the publisher’s details.
Gothic Classic is also available on Nintendo Switch, whose US listing gives a September 28, 2023 release date and a 3.9 GB download size. Nintendo says the Switch game is compatible with Switch 2 with behavior consistent with Switch; that compatibility note is for Gothic Classic, not the distinct Gothic III Classic edition scheduled for Switch 2. Nintendo’s US store listing identifies the Switch product and its modes.
For PC, Steam lists Gothic 3, while GOG’s Gothic product page describes offline installers and an updated Union version. These storefront descriptions do not establish feature parity between Steam and GOG editions. Steam’s Gothic 3 page and GOG’s Gothic page are the relevant listing references.

What about a physical collection?
THQ Nordic announced a retail-exclusive Gothic Classic Khorinis Saga edition for Switch. That announcement does not by itself establish the package’s exact contents, regional availability, or current stock, so confirm the box details with the retailer before treating it as a three-game trilogy bundle. The publisher’s announcement describes the edition.
Which languages include spoken audio?
Language support is specific to the game, platform, region, and store SKU. A language badge alone may not mean the game has voice acting in that language; check the listing’s separate audio and text fields.

If spoken English is essential, Steam explicitly lists full English audio for Gothic 3. Nintendo lists American English for Gothic Classic on Switch without clarifying whether that means voices, text, or both. For other editions, use the exact listing’s audio column rather than assuming language support carries over from another game or platform.
Can I use a controller?
For Gothic Classic on Switch, Nintendo lists support for the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and for TV, tabletop, and handheld modes. That is specific evidence for this Switch edition and accessory. It does not establish controller support for every Gothic game, PC edition, or Steam Deck configuration. Nintendo’s UK listing names the Pro Controller; its US listing names the play modes.

The official listings referenced here do not confirm native PC controller support across Gothic I, II, and III or Steam Deck verification for the trio. If you are buying a PC edition specifically to play with a controller, check that edition’s current store information and user-configurable input options before purchase.

Cloud-save support is not the same as save transfer between platforms or import from one Gothic game into another. Nintendo lists Save Data Cloud for Gothic Classic on Switch, and Steam lists Steam Cloud for Gothic 3. Those are platform-service listings; they do not promise that a save can move between Nintendo, Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox, or that a sequel imports a previous game’s save. Nintendo’s listing, Steam’s listing, and the Gothic 3 manual do not document those forms of compatibility.

What to check before you purchase
- Confirm the exact game name and platform generation; the classics are sold or scheduled as separate products.
- Check the current regional storefront for release status, since publisher schedules and product pages can change.
- For language needs, inspect audio separately from interface and subtitles for the exact SKU.
- If controller use matters, rely on confirmation for the specific edition rather than extrapolating from Switch to PC.
- Do not count cloud-save support as a promise of cross-platform transfer or sequel save import.
- For the physical Khorinis Saga Switch edition, verify package contents, region, and stock with the retailer.
