This FAQ covers the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, the current model meant by “Pixel Pro XL” here. Google advertises 24+ hours of battery life and seven years of OS and security updates, but battery life depends on how you use the phone, and update delivery is gradual. The answers below separate Google’s specifications and guidance from what they can—and cannot—promise in everyday use.
How long does the Pixel 10 Pro XL battery last?
Google advertises 24+ hours of battery life for the Pixel 10 Pro XL, or up to 100 hours with Extreme Battery Saver. These are manufacturer claims, not independent endurance-test results or guarantees for every owner. Google says actual battery life may be lower and varies with use and enabled features. Google’s specifications list a typical battery capacity of 5,200 mAh and a minimum capacity of 5,079 mAh; capacity alone does not establish a particular screen-on time.
Your screen, network conditions, apps, and features affect how quickly the charge is used. Extreme Battery Saver is a separate mode, so its maximum figure should not be read as ordinary-use runtime.
How fast does the Pixel 10 Pro XL charge?
Wired charging
Google says the Pixel 10 Pro XL can reach up to 70% in about 30 minutes using a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher. The stated rate is based on Google’s 45W USB-C charger plugged into a wall outlet. Actual results may be slower, charging performance varies with use, and the adapter is sold separately. A USB-C connector by itself does not ensure the advertised rate.

Wireless charging
The Pixel 10 Pro XL supports Qi2-certified Pixelsnap wireless charging up to 25W. That maximum applies to this model, with a compatible Qi2 charging setup. Check both the charger’s Qi2 certification and its compatibility with the phone before buying; wireless charging speed depends on the accessory used.
Does the Pixel 10 Pro XL come with a charger?
Google says the power adapter is sold separately, so do not assume a wall charger is included. If you want the cited wired charging rate, choose a compatible 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher; for magnetic wireless charging, check that the accessory is Qi2-certified and compatible with Pixel 10 Pro XL.

How many years of updates does the Pixel 10 Pro XL get?
Google’s current policy covers Pixel 10 Pro XL for seven years of OS and security updates, counted from the model’s first availability on the Google Store in the US. The policy may also include new or upgraded features through Pixel Drops. This is a support-duration commitment, not a promise that every feature reaches every device or region at the same time.
Google says software updates roll out gradually and depend on the carrier and device; arrival can take a few weeks. To check for an update, open Settings > System > Software update. For current rollout details and help, see Google’s Pixel software update guidance.

How can I make my Pixel battery last longer?
Use charging optimization to suit your routine
Google provides Adaptive Charging, which aims to finish charging near your usual unplug time, and an 80% charge limit to prioritize battery health. The 80% limit also means less charge is available for a long day, so it is a trade-off rather than the right choice for everyone. Google’s charging optimization guidance explains the available settings and how to use them.
Give Adaptive Battery time to learn
Adaptive Battery and app battery optimization are on by default, according to Google, and adjust based on usage. Google says learning can take a few weeks after setup or a reset. Its Adaptive Battery guidance also notes that extra drain after a software update can be normal while the phone downloads and optimizes software. If unusually high drain continues after a few days, Google advises seeking help.

Is the Pixel 10 Pro XL practical for everyday use?
Google lists a 6.8-inch display and a weight of 8.2 ounces. Those figures establish that this is a large, relatively heavy phone; they cannot tell you whether it will feel comfortable in one hand or fit your preferences. If compact size matters, consider how you typically hold and carry a phone before choosing a large-screen model.
For everyday ownership, weigh the advertised battery figures against your own usage, the separate charger needed for the cited wired speed, the convenience of compatible Qi2 wireless charging, and the seven-year update policy. Google’s specifications describe capabilities and commitments, not a guarantee of identical battery performance or feature availability for every user.
