1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsGoogle’s current Android and Google Devices vulnerability-reward announcement sets a maximum reward of $1.5 million for a zero-click, full-chain compromise of Pixel’s Titan M2 security component that achieves persistence. A zero-click, full-chain Titan M2 compromise without persistence has a separate maximum of $750,000. Both are ceilings, not guaranteed payments; Google assesses reports under its program rules.
What an exploit must do to reach the $1.5 million tier
The current top tier combines several requirements. The attack must need no user interaction, form a complete exploit chain, compromise Titan M2 in a Pixel device, and retain persistence after the compromise. Meeting only one or some of those conditions does not amount to the full qualifying scenario.
- Zero-click: The target does not need to tap a link, open a file, or otherwise interact for the attack to work.
- Full chain: The report must demonstrate an end-to-end compromise, not just an isolated flaw or an initial foothold.
- Titan M2 compromise: The chain must compromise the Titan M2 security component, rather than merely affect another part of Android or Pixel.
- Persistence: The compromise must persist. Google lists a separate lower maximum for the zero-click, full-chain Titan M2 compromise without persistence.
Google says it is focusing the program on vulnerability categories with the highest user impact and those that are harder for automated tools to find. The announcement does not make the maximum an automatic payout: reward decisions remain subject to the program rules and Google’s assessment of the submission.
Current Pixel Titan M2 bounty tiers
| Scenario | Maximum reward | Distinguishing condition |
|---|---|---|
| Zero-click, full-chain Pixel Titan M2 compromise with persistence | Up to $1,500,000 | Persistence after compromise |
| Zero-click, full-chain Pixel Titan M2 compromise without persistence | Up to $750,000 | No persistence |
These figures describe the current Titan M2 schedule. They are not a general rate for Pixel vulnerabilities, and the lower tier still requires a zero-click, full-chain Titan M2 compromise.

What “Titan M” and “Titan M2” mean
Titan M is Google’s mobile member of its Titan secure-microcontroller family. Google’s current Pixel security documentation lists Titan M2 (H1D3) and Titan M3 (H1E2) as M-series microcontrollers. It describes Titan M as providing root-of-trust functions and cryptographic protections.
The top reward described here specifically names Titan M2. The existence of other Titan M-family hardware does not establish that an exploit affecting it qualifies for this particular tier; the reported component and affected device must match the current program scope.

How to submit a report
- Check the current Android and Google Devices vulnerability-reward scope and rules. Confirm that the affected device and issue are covered; the dollar maximum alone does not establish eligibility.
- Build a reproducible report. Identify the affected Pixel and Titan generation, explain the complete attack chain and user-interaction requirements, and demonstrate whether the compromise persists. Include a proof of concept and the technical evidence needed to reproduce and assess the behavior.
- Submit through Google Bug Hunters. Google’s Titan M documentation directs vulnerability reports to that portal. Follow the program’s submission requirements and provide the details needed for Google to evaluate the claim.
A Pixel phone is the relevant hardware context, but owning or buying a Google Pixel smartphone does not qualify someone for a reward. Google’s documentation identifies Titan M-family components, but the material available here does not map those components to a definitive list of Pixel models. Verify the current device scope rather than assuming a particular model is eligible.
How the current offer differs from Google’s 2019 headline
The $1.5 million figure has an earlier precedent, but the terms were different. In November 2019, Google announced a $1 million top prize for a full-chain remote-code-execution exploit with persistence that compromised the Titan M secure element on Pixel devices. It also offered a 50% bonus for exploits found on specified Android developer-preview versions, making the maximum $1.5 million under that structure.

| 2019 announcement | $1 million for a full-chain remote-code-execution exploit with persistence compromising Titan M on Pixel; a 50% bonus for exploits found on specified Android developer-preview versions raised the maximum to $1.5 million. |
| Current announcement | Up to $1.5 million for a zero-click, full-chain Pixel Titan M2 compromise with persistence; up to $750,000 for the corresponding compromise without persistence. |
The current top amount is tied to the Titan M2 zero-click scenario, not to the 2019 developer-preview bonus. Treating the two announcements as interchangeable would obscure the change in both scope and reward conditions.

Google reported that it awarded nearly $12 million to more than 600 researchers in 2024. It also said its ESCAL8 Pixel live-hacking event produced more than $75,000 in rewards over one weekend. Those program-wide figures show activity, but they do not indicate how often the Titan M2 maximum is awarded or make a top-tier payment likely for an individual report.
