Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has eight piano minigame songs. The first six are Piano Outreach Association pieces, and earning an A rank or better on each one, then reporting the results to Dorian, fulfills the Piano Virtuoso trophy requirement. The final two pieces—Let the Battles Begin! and One-Winged Angel—are optional bonus unlocks. - Six Piano Outreach Association songs: These are the pieces that count toward Piano Virtuoso. You must achieve an A rank or better on all six and report the qualifying performances to Dorian.

Where can I find the six Piano Outreach Association sheets?
Collect the six association pieces in the order that suits your journey. The first five are physical sheets at named pianos; the sixth is quest-gated in Nibelheim.

On Our Way — Crow’s Nest, Junon Region
Travel to Crow’s Nest in the Junon Region and enter the settlement’s tavern or base-camp building. The piano and its sheet are inside. Crow’s Nest is not immediately available: the settlement is gated by the side quest When Words Won’t Do. If the location is absent or inaccessible on your map, complete that quest before looking for the piano.
Tifa’s Theme — Royal Coast hotel, Costa del Sol
The sheet is obtained at the Royal Coast hotel during the Chapter 6 story sequence involving Tifa and Aerith. The full game does not use the Nibelheim location shown in the demo for this sheet, so searching the demo’s location will not find the Rebirth pickup.
Barret’s Theme — Rock Bottom, North Corel
Enter the Rock Bottom bar in North Corel and inspect the piano inside. The sheet is a straightforward location pickup; no separate side quest is listed as a prerequisite.

Cinco de Chocobo — Gongaga Village
In Gongaga Village, use the map’s piano marker to identify the correct building. Go inside and interact with the piano to obtain Cinco de Chocobo. The marker is the most reliable way to distinguish the building from the village’s other structures.
Two Legs? Nothin’ To It — Syldra Inn, Cosmo Canyon Village
Visit the Syldra Inn in Cosmo Canyon Village. The sheet is placed on the inn’s piano, so enter the inn and interact with that instrument rather than searching the surrounding streets.

Aerith’s Theme — Nibelheim side quest
Aerith’s Theme is not a normal piano-room pickup. Start and complete the Nibelheim side quest My White-Haired Angel; the quest awards the sheet. If the piano list is missing this song after collecting the other regional pieces, check the side-quest board and your Nibelheim quest progress instead of revisiting the five settlement pianos.
How does the piano minigame grade a performance?
The minigame asks you to use the left and right analog sticks to follow incoming notes. Your timing determines the grade assigned to each note and, ultimately, the performance rank.
- Read the note path: Track the on-screen movement and use the corresponding stick to follow it.
- Prioritize timing: A mistimed input lowers note quality, so controlled movements are more useful than forcing speed.
- Finish the complete arrangement: The result is calculated after the song, not from a single note.
- Check the displayed rank: The trophy route requires A rank or better. A star/S-rank performance is not necessary.
Some walkthroughs describe approximate performance percentages, but no universal exact percentage threshold is established for A rank. Treat the in-game rank as the authority rather than relying on a fixed number from a guide.
What do the piano performances reward?
Each qualifying association performance can provide materia remuneration when you report an A-rank-or-better result to Dorian. The reward is tied to the song, as shown below.

After achieving the required rank, report the performance to Dorian so the game records the remuneration. Finishing a song without reporting it does not complete the association’s reporting step.

How do I earn the Piano Virtuoso trophy?
Use this sequence to follow the trophy requirement without spending time on the optional songs.

- Collect the six association sheets. Visit Crow’s Nest, Costa del Sol, North Corel, Gongaga Village, and Cosmo Canyon Village, and complete My White-Haired Angel in Nibelheim for Aerith’s Theme.
- Play each of the six songs. Interact with a piano and select the sheet you have collected.
- Earn A rank or better on every association song. The game’s displayed rank matters; perfect star/S-rank results are not required.
- Report the qualifying performances to Dorian. Speak with Dorian after the performances so the association records each result and grants the corresponding remuneration.
- Verify all six are recorded. If the trophy does not trigger, check which song lacks a reported qualifying result rather than replaying bonus pieces.
The requirement is all six association songs, not all eight songs in the minigame. You can therefore earn Piano Virtuoso before completing Johnny’s Treasure Trove or unlocking Let the Battles Begin! and One-Winged Angel.
How do I unlock the two bonus piano songs?
Let the Battles Begin!
Dorian awards Let the Battles Begin! after you achieve A rank or better on the first six association songs and report those performances. It is an extra song for players continuing beyond the trophy route, not a seventh requirement for Piano Virtuoso.
One-Winged Angel
One-Winged Angel is associated with Johnny’s Treasure Trove. The walkthrough condition is to complete all 88 items in the Treasure Trove and open the resulting reward chest. This is a broad completion objective, so it is substantially more time-consuming than collecting the six association sheets and meeting their rank requirement.
Should I follow the trophy route or complete every piano reward?
Your choice depends on whether you want the trophy quickly or every available piano unlock.

For a focused playthrough, collect sheets as their regions become available and postpone performance retries until you are comfortable with the stick controls. For full completion, keep a separate checklist for the six association reports and the 88 Treasure Trove items so that a missing report is not confused with a missing bonus unlock.

No single chronological order is required, but a low-backtracking plan is to collect each physical sheet while visiting its region, complete the Nibelheim quest when it becomes available, and then make one deliberate performance circuit. This approach separates exploration from grading: you can confirm that all six songs are in your list before attempting A ranks.
- Unlock Crow’s Nest through When Words Won’t Do and collect On Our Way.
- During the Costa del Sol Chapter 6 sequence, obtain Tifa’s Theme from the Royal Coast hotel.
- Collect Barret’s Theme in North Corel.
- Follow the Gongaga Village piano marker for Cinco de Chocobo.
- Visit the Syldra Inn in Cosmo Canyon Village for Two Legs? Nothin’ To It.
