End of Abyss has eight Data Shards, according to a walkthrough by 100% Guides. Collect all eight, take them to the Mainframe in Lower Levels > B3, then defeat the final boss again to reach the secret ending. The walkthrough says the shards are not missable and can be collected after completing the main story.
All eight Data Shard locations
The room-by-room directions below come from 100% Guides’ walkthrough, published September 29, 2026. Official game pages confirm the game and its platforms, but do not document these individual routes. Treat the navigation as walkthrough instructions rather than independently verified directions.
1. Lower Levels > F1
In the northern hall, burn down the wall to reveal the Data Shard.
2. Habitation Sector > F1
- Use an Explosive Charge on the wall just left of the Containment Sector Fast Travel Shuttle to obtain the Security Guard Keycard.
- Use that card on the door at the right end of the Habitation Sector corridor. Go downstairs and through the left-hand door to find the Security Chief Keycard.
- Use the Security Chief Keycard on the left-hand door in the main hall, then go through the northern door to reach the shard.
3. Ventilation Tunnels > F3
- At the easternmost Factory East entrance to the Tunnels, use an Explosive Charge on the weak wall to the right.
- Continue to F2, cross the upper catwalk, and pull down the ladder to F3.
- Go right and upstairs. After the ambush, take the Ventilation Maintenance Key and use it on the northern F3 door to reach the shard.
4. Factory West > F4
- In the Outer Sector, use an Explosive Charge to open the floor just outside the Maintenance safe room.
- Go down and left to find the Executive Level Access Keycard behind boxes.
- At Factory West, use the keycard to access the lift on F2. Ride it up; the shard is in the second room with the large table.
5. Reactor > B1
This is the longest route in the walkthrough. It starts in Waterworks B3 and requires the Grappling Hook.
- In Waterworks B3, press the switch in the room to the left, then press the switch by the circular structure to drain the water.
- Activate the eastern-side pump console. Exit to its left, climb down, go north, and use an Explosive Charge on the blockage wall.
- Continue through the upper-right B3 door to the switch that drains the Reactor Pool. The route passes an Energy Node door and an ambush.
- At Reactor B3, climb down into the drained pool. Go left at the bottom and take the Underbelly Key from a locker.
- Use the key on the door down the short stairs outside the Reactor, on the right side of F1. The shard is inside.
6. Waterworks > B3
Find the Sewer Workshop Key on the left side of the B3 sewers. Use it to open the small room at the bottom of the sewers, where the shard is located.
7. Containment Sector > F3
- On B1, use an Explosive Charge to open a wall.
- In the next room, pull down the ladder and take the Storage Room Key.
- Use the key to open the F3 door containing the shard.
8. Lower Levels > B4
From the safe room on B3, go down the stairs into the Tunnels. About halfway through, burn down the wall to reveal the shard.

How to get the secret ending
- Collect all eight Data Shards.
- Return to the Mainframe in Lower Levels > B3 and turn in the shards.
- Defeat the final boss again.
Epic Games Store’s achievement list names “Shard Collector” for finding all Data Shards and “You Did It” for the normal ending. That supports the shard-collection and normal-ending milestones; the achievement listing does not itself confirm the secret-ending sequence.
