Emporio Armani Connected is a Fossil Group smartwatch line, but the official records here document touchscreen collections from 2018 and 2019—not a current new-generation Armani Wear OS watch. Google’s device-help page currently lists Armani under Wear OS 2.x. The 2018 collection announcement names a Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor; that specification should not be assumed for every Armani model.
What is the latest Emporio Armani Connected smartwatch?
The available official product announcements establish a 2018 touchscreen collection and a subsequent 2019 collection, but they do not establish that either remains the newest Armani watch currently on sale. Fossil Group announced its touchscreen collection on July 16, 2018, and Fossil Japan announced another collection in 2019. That later announcement lists models ART5021, ART5022, ART5023, ART5024, and ART5025. These are historical launch records, not evidence of current inventory or pricing. Fossil Group’s 2018 announcement and Fossil Japan’s 2019 announcement are useful for identifying the generations and model numbers.
So “latest” needs a boundary: the 2019 collection is the latest one documented by these announcements, not a verified statement about all products ever released or current retail availability.
Which Wear OS version does it run?
Google’s current device-help page places Armani devices in the Wear OS 2.x category. That is a brand-level classification, not a model-by-model update history. The page does not establish a specific update ceiling for each ART model, nor does it confirm a Wear OS 3 update for Armani watches. What hardware and features are documented?
2018 touchscreen collection
Fossil Group’s July 16, 2018 announcement specifies Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 and Wear OS for that touchscreen collection. It says the watches work with iPhone and Android phones. The announcement also lists heart-rate tracking, 3 ATM swimproofing, NFC payments, built-in GPS, and wrist-based voice assistance. The stated details are launch-era claims; they should not automatically be applied to every later Armani model or treated as confirmation that services remain available in every region today. - Heart-rate tracking was described through Google Fit or third-party apps.
- Swimproofing was rated 3 ATM; swim-workout tracking was described as available through third-party apps.
- Google Pay was listed for NFC payments, but only in select countries.
- Google Assistant availability was also qualified by country.
- Built-in GPS was listed among the collection’s functions.
Those qualifications matter when evaluating a used watch: feature presence in an announcement does not guarantee that a service is supported in your country, works with your phone, or remains operational now.

2019 collection
Fossil Japan’s announcement identifies the subsequent touchscreen collection and its ART5021–ART5025 model numbers. It does not, by itself, establish that all five models use the 2018 collection’s processor or have identical specifications. Is it the same as Fossil Gen 6?
No. Fossil Gen 6 is a separate Fossil-branded product line, and its hardware must not be attributed to an Emporio Armani Connected watch. Fossil lists the following specifications for its Gen 6 watch:

Because the product name spans collections and the available official records do not provide a complete model-by-model update or repair history, assess the individual watch rather than relying on the brand name alone.
