The EarFun Air Pro 4 supports a wide range of Bluetooth audio codecs—including SBC, AAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, LDAC, and LC3/LE Audio—and can maintain active connections to two devices at once. It does not have a native EarFun spatial-audio mode. The codec you hear depends on what your source device and its software support, as well as the earbuds’ firmware and settings.

What codecs does the EarFun Air Pro 4 support?

The Air Pro 4’s documented codec list is broader than the basic SBC and AAC options found on many Bluetooth earbuds. EarFun identifies aptX Lossless, LDAC, and LC3/LE Audio in its product information; independent specifications also list AAC and SBC, and document aptX Lossless and LDAC. aptX Adaptive appears in the published codec information as well. Support for a codec means it is an option under compatible conditions—not that every phone will use it automatically.

Codec What it means for the Air Pro 4 What determines whether it is used
SBC A baseline Bluetooth audio option documented for the earbuds. The source device and its Bluetooth audio negotiation.
AAC Another documented codec option. Whether the source device and software support and select it.
aptX Adaptive Listed among the supported codecs; the available data does not establish a particular operating mode or performance level. Compatible source hardware, software, and the current connection.
aptX Lossless Identified by EarFun and independent sources as supported. Its presence does not guarantee that a connected phone will transmit using it. Compatibility on the source side and codec negotiation.
LDAC Documented high-quality codec option with an explicit Android requirement in the manual. A compatible Android source, the EarFun Audio app setting, and firmware.
LC3 / LE Audio EarFun lists LE Audio support; its product copy says Auracast and LE Audio are available via firmware update only. Firmware and compatible source-device support.

EarFun says the earbuds use Qualcomm’s QCC3091 platform. That chipset and the long codec list describe the product’s capabilities, but they do not identify which codec is active in a particular listening session. The actual connection depends on both ends: the Air Pro 4 must support the codec, and the phone, computer, operating system, and applicable software must also be able to use it.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Why can a supported codec fail to appear?

Bluetooth codec support is negotiated between the earbuds and the connected device. A codec printed in the earbud specifications is not a universal setting that overrides the source device. If the source cannot transmit a compatible format—or the earbuds’ current configuration does not allow it—the connection uses another available option. The cited product information does not establish a single codec that every Air Pro 4 owner should expect to see.

  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Keep three separate questions in mind: what the earbuds can support, what the source device can transmit, and what codec is selected for the current connection. A phone’s model name alone may not settle the issue, because compatibility can vary by handset and software. Do not assume that every Android phone will use either aptX Lossless or LDAC.

Can I use LDAC with the EarFun Air Pro 4 on an iPhone?

No. The Air Pro 4 manual says iOS devices do not support LDAC. You can still use the earbuds with an iPhone, but LDAC is not an available iPhone-to-earbud codec; the actual alternative depends on the source’s supported options and the connection negotiation.

For LDAC, the manual describes an Android device that supports LDAC as a requirement. The setting is in the EarFun Audio app under Bluetooth Audio Quality. Turning LDAC on changes the earbuds’ Bluetooth audio setting, and the manual says the earbuds reboot after the change. If you are using an iPhone, looking for an LDAC toggle will not add iOS support for the codec.

How do I enable LDAC on a compatible Android device?

  1. Pair the Air Pro 4 with an Android device that supports LDAC.
  2. Open the EarFun Audio app and find Bluetooth Audio Quality.
  3. Turn on the LDAC option. The earbuds reboot to apply the setting, so allow them to reconnect before listening.
  4. Confirm that the phone and current software support the desired connection. The manual’s instructions establish how to enable LDAC in the EarFun app, but do not guarantee that every Android device will negotiate it in every configuration.

This is a device-dependent choice, not a universal “best quality” switch. A compatible source and the earbuds’ setting are both necessary, and a codec’s availability alone does not establish its battery cost, sound quality in your specific setup, or continued availability alongside every other connection feature.

Does the Air Pro 4 support multipoint?

Yes. EarFun describes simultaneous connections to two devices, and SoundGuys also confirms multipoint. This is useful when you want the earbuds connected to, for example, a phone and a laptop without treating the pair as an unlimited number of active connections.

Multipoint means two devices can be connected at the same time. It is not the same as storing every device you have ever paired: a device can be remembered without being one of the two current connections. The cited documentation establishes a two-device active relationship, not a larger simultaneous limit.

How do I connect two devices?

The Air Pro 4 manual’s dual-device procedure is to pair the first device, use the case button to put the earbuds into pairing mode, and then pair the second device. If the first device does not reconnect on its own after the second is paired, the manual says to reconnect the first device manually.

  1. Connect Device A to the earbuds.
  2. Press the button on the charging case to enter pairing mode.
  3. Connect Device B to the earbuds.
  4. If Device A is not connected again, select the Air Pro 4 on Device A and reconnect it.

SoundGuys reports using an iPhone and MacBook together during its review without connection dropouts. That is one reviewer’s reported experience, not a guarantee that every pair of devices, operating system, or wireless environment will behave identically.

What should I expect when both devices are connected?

The practical benefit is having two sources connected rather than repeatedly pairing from scratch when moving between devices. The manual’s setup flow also makes clear that a second connection may require a deliberate pairing step and that the first source may need a manual reconnect. The available product documentation does not promise a particular rule for which device’s audio takes priority in every situation, so do not assume a specific switching behavior without checking your own devices.

Does the EarFun Air Pro 4 have spatial audio?

No native EarFun spatial-audio feature is documented for the Air Pro 4. Tom’s Guide says there is no spatial audio, and Rick Broida’s review likewise identifies spatial audio as absent from EarFun earbuds. EarFun’s listed controls and features include audio codecs, EQ, ANC, game mode, and Auracast/LE Audio, but not an EarFun spatial-audio setting.

That does not rule out processing elsewhere in the audio chain. A phone, operating system, or streaming app may apply its own spatial effect, but that is different from the earbuds providing an integrated EarFun feature. It also does not establish support for head tracking. If a built-in, vendor-integrated spatial mode or head-tracked listening is essential to your purchase, the Air Pro 4’s documented feature set does not meet that requirement.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

How do LE Audio and Auracast fit in?

EarFun lists LC3/LE Audio and describes Auracast and LE Audio support as available via firmware update only. That qualification matters: the feature is not presented as an unconditional out-of-box capability in the product copy. The source device also needs to support the relevant technology for a compatible connection.

LE Audio is a separate part of the Air Pro 4’s codec and wireless feature story; its presence does not mean that LDAC is available on an iPhone, that multipoint connects more than two active devices, or that the earbuds gain native spatial audio. Those are distinct capabilities with separate requirements. The cited materials do not specify a firmware version number or a universal update procedure, so check the EarFun app and current product documentation for the update status applicable to your pair.

What do the codec and wireless features mean for battery life?

EarFun’s published battery claim is up to 11 hours per charge with ANC off and up to 52 hours including the charging case. Those are manufacturer figures, not a promise of the same runtime in every listening session; EarFun says use affects battery life.

The available product information does not give comparable battery-runtime measurements for each codec, nor does it establish how using LDAC or multipoint changes runtime in a particular setup. It is therefore not possible to use the codec list alone to calculate how long your earbuds will last. Treat the published runtime as a manufacturer claim under its stated ANC-off condition, rather than as a codec-by-codec result.

Is the Air Pro 4 a good fit if I care about codecs and device switching?

The feature set is a strong match for someone who wants several codec options and a two-device connection, provided their source devices support the options they intend to use. It is a less suitable choice for someone whose deciding requirement is native spatial audio or head tracking, neither of which is documented for these earbuds.

Before choosing based on a codec, check compatibility on the exact phone or computer you will use. For LDAC in particular, verify Android support and the EarFun Audio app setting; for LE Audio and Auracast, account for EarFun’s firmware-update qualification. A supported specification is useful only when the rest of your setup can use it.

As separate purchase context, EarFun’s shop lists the Air Pro 4 at $89.99, while Tom’s Guide reported Amazon availability at $99 in the US and £99 in the UK in its review. These are different listings, not a guaranteed current price; stock and pricing can change, so check the retailer for the applicable region and date. EarFun also lists a model-specific case cover, TW600CCB, in its product-guide index for buyers looking for an accessory.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I connect the Air Pro 4 to two laptops at once?

The documented multipoint limit is two active devices, so two laptops fit that count in principle. The manual explains the pairing sequence but does not specify special behavior for two computers, so source-side reconnect or audio-priority behavior may differ.

Do I need a firmware update for Auracast on the Air Pro 4?

EarFun’s product copy qualifies Auracast and LE Audio as available via firmware update only. The cited information does not give a firmware version number, so use the EarFun app or current EarFun support information to check the status for your earbuds.

Will LDAC make every song sound better on the Air Pro 4?

The codec specification does not establish a guaranteed audible improvement for every listener or recording. The available product information also does not provide a controlled comparison of codecs, so codec support should not be treated as a sound-quality test result.

Is spatial audio from my phone the same as spatial audio built into the earbuds?

No. An operating system or app can apply its own spatial processing before audio reaches the earbuds, while a native earbud feature would be part of the earbuds’ own documented functionality. The Air Pro 4 does not list such a native EarFun mode.
