Choose the pack that lists your exact card. Open Dual Fusion: Mega Mewtwo X for Mega Mewtwo X ex, the Psychic- and Fighting-type dual-type card. Open Dual Fusion: Pikachu for Mega Greninja ex, the Water- and Dark-type dual-type card. How should you choose between the two Dual Fusion packs?
Start with the exact missing card, then use pool exclusivity and pack points to refine the decision. Do not choose solely by the Pokémon shown on the artwork, popularity, or the card you hope might appear.
- Write down the exact card and rarity. “I need Mega Mewtwo X ex” and “I need a particular higher-rarity version of Mega Mewtwo X ex” are related goals, but the second one requires tracking the specific version.
- Match the card to its pool. Mega Mewtwo X ex maps to Dual Fusion: Mega Mewtwo X. Mega Greninja ex maps to Dual Fusion: Pikachu.

How large is the Dual Fusion expansion?
Dual Fusion is the C1 expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket and became available on October 29, 2026. The current Serebii set page lists 217 cards in total, divided into 170 Normal cards and 47 Secret cards. Those totals include rarity variants and the wider Pokémon, Trainer, and other card lineup; they do not mean that all 217 cards are dual-type.
The expansion has two regular booster pools, named for Mega Mewtwo X and Pikachu. A set-level card total therefore does not tell you which artwork to open for a particular card. The pool assignment does.
Are the displayed percentages the odds for a whole pack?
No. The 0.2778% and 1.1112% values are displayed for the fourth and fifth slots in the relevant third-party tables. A complete pack contains multiple slots, and the supplied tables do not establish a single combined per-pack probability for either chase card. Do not add the two figures and call the result an official pack rate.
The figures are still useful as a way to compare how the target is represented in the published slot tables, but they cannot promise that a certain number of openings will produce an ex card. Random openings can produce duplicates, other rarities, or cards shared with the other pool.

What should you do if you are chasing both dual-type cards?
Use a two-track plan rather than splitting every opening randomly.
- Set a primary target. Begin with the card that matters most to your deck or collection.
- Open only its assigned pack for that phase. Use Mega Mewtwo X for Mega Mewtwo X ex, or Pikachu for Mega Greninja ex.
- Record missing versions. Keep separate notes for the base card and any higher-rarity version you want.
- Change pools intentionally. Once you switch goals, move to the other featured pack; previous openings do not make the second card more likely.
- Spend points on the final gap. When random openings mostly produce cards you already own, use Dual Fusion pack points for the specific missing card if the in-game exchange offers it.
Are Special Pack: First Partners and event missions alternatives?
No. Special Pack: First Partners is a separate feature that uses special pack stamina and guarantees one ★ card. The official announcement explicitly distinguishes special packs from regular booster packs. Pika Pika! Pikachu Missions and their rewards are event content, not another way to choose between the Mega Mewtwo X and Pikachu regular pools.
Use those features for their own rewards and requirements. They should not be counted as evidence that a regular Dual Fusion pack contains the other pack’s featured ex card.

Should I spend pack points immediately or save them?
Save enough openings to decide whether the card is your true bottleneck, then use expansion-specific points when random packs are mainly producing duplicates or unwanted rarities. Points earned in another expansion do not substitute for Dual Fusion points.
Can I calculate my exact chance by adding the fourth- and fifth-slot percentages?
No. Those values describe separate named slots in a third-party table, not a published combined pack probability. Without the game’s complete slot-selection rules, adding them would present an unsupported overall rate.
Do Special Pack: First Partners packs count toward the Dual Fusion chase?
