Does Xenoverse 2 follow the first game’s story?

Start with the original if order matters most
Choose Dragon Ball Xenoverse first if you want the first game’s story in the form it was originally released. The publisher lists historical versions for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with PC also listed. How do Infinite History and Future Saga fit into the story order?
They are later Xenoverse 2 story expansions, so they belong after the base game if you are following the sequel’s content. Infinite History is a chapter in Extra Pack 2, announced in February 2018, and involves Fu. It can add context for a player interested in Fu’s later conflict, but the available information does not establish that it is mandatory to understand Future Saga.
Future Saga is a four-chapter Xenoverse 2 arc

The publisher’s October 25 Link Data instructions describe an optional way to upload eligible Xenoverse 2 achievements through a free Bandai Namco ID for specified Xenoverse 3 rewards after that game launches.
