- External controllers: Bluetooth and USB controllers may require manual selection. The built-in controls are the default layout covered by the compatibility notes.

- Connect the Deck to the internet. The first-time setup requirement reported by SteamDB means you should not rely on an entirely offline initial launch.
- Open the Steam Store or Library and select FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE. Confirm that you are buying the Steam product, not a console edition.
- Install the game to internal storage or a compatible microSD card. The Steam listing specifies 15 GB of storage, so leave additional free space for Steam’s download and update process.
- Launch once while online. Let Steam complete any first-run configuration and allow the title to reach its main menu before disconnecting.
- Use the built-in controls first. If you attach a Bluetooth or USB controller and it is not recognized, manually select it through Steam’s controller management rather than assuming the game is unsupported.

Does FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE have Steam Cloud saves?

Do FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE saves transfer between platforms?

Can you play FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE multiplayer?

Connect to a reliable internet connection and launch again. SteamDB specifically notes an active connection for first-time setup. After configuration completes, the game’s normal offline behavior is not specified by the available compatibility notes, so do not treat the first successful online launch as proof of every offline scenario.

Put the device that contains the newest save online, check the game’s Steam Cloud setting, and wait for synchronization to finish. Then open the game on the second Steam installation with the same account. A console save will not appear simply because the PC and console versions share the same game title.
