One reported US completed sale was $299 for a factory-unlocked 256GB BTS Edition, but a single transaction cannot establish the model’s typical value or show that it sold for more than a comparable standard S20+. Treat the edition as a possible collector draw, not a dependable return.
What the BTS phone edition includes
Samsung announced the Galaxy S20+ BTS Edition on June 15, 2020. It paired a purple glass-and-metal exterior with BTS-inspired themes and the Weverse fan-community platform. The announcement also covered a Galaxy S20+ 5G BTS Edition and Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition, so listings may refer to different variants or packages. Samsung’s announcement describes the collaboration and its design.
A phone-only listing is not the same as the phone-and-earbuds launch package. The Weverse Shop package page identifies a Galaxy S20+ 5G plus Buds+ BTS Edition bundle, marks it sold out, and says shipping is available only in South Korea. Its displayed USD 1,133.27 price is a package-page price, not a used-phone resale benchmark. Do not assume a used phone includes the original BTS box, Buds, case, photocards, charger, or other launch items unless the seller lists and shows them.
What the available resale evidence says
An eBay completed-sale record reports US $299 for one factory-unlocked 256GB Galaxy S20+ BTS Limited Edition. The page shows a sale date of Thursday, August 6, 2026. It is an individual transaction: the record does not establish that its condition was equivalent to other phones, that it was representative, or that BTS branding added value over a standard S20+.

Korean resale snapshots show BTS S20+ asking prices, and a September 2026 Cetizen snapshot shows one BTS Edition offer alongside one standard S20+ offer. These are listings rather than a representative group of completed, matched sales; condition and included items differ. Joongna’s search snapshot and Cetizen’s model-specific snapshot can show asking prices, but not what comparable buyers actually paid.
There is no robust public matched-sales dataset in the available evidence that quantifies a BTS-branding premium over standard S20+ phones. Nor is there a credible global lifetime sales figure or controlled estimate of collector uplift. Fan interest, a sold-out bundle page, and isolated asking or sale prices are not substitutes for that evidence.

How to compare prices fairly
Start with completed transactions rather than active asking prices. Compare phones that match as closely as possible on the factors below; otherwise, a price difference may reflect the phone’s condition or package rather than the BTS edition.
- Exact model: Check the edition, model number, 5G or LTE variant, storage, sales region, and whether the phone is carrier-locked or unlocked.
- Condition and function: Compare working status, screen and body damage, battery condition, and repair history. Do not treat a damaged or unverified phone as equivalent to a fully working one.
- What is included: Separate phone-only sales from complete bundles. Check whether the BTS box, Buds, case, photocards, charger, or other items are present, and whether photos show them.
- Sale circumstances: Keep geography, currency, shipping costs, seller protection, and transaction date in view. Prices from different countries or periods are not automatically comparable.
Advice for buyers
- Ask the seller to identify the exact BTS Edition model and provide clear photos of the device and any included items.
- Verify that the phone works, confirm its model and network status, and ask about damage, battery condition, and repairs.
- Look for several recent completed sales of similar phones in the same market. Keep phone-only sales separate from complete-bundle sales.
- Pay extra for the edition only if its design or collectibles are worth that amount to you personally. Available evidence does not make resale value or a future premium a safe assumption.
Advice for sellers
- State the precise model, storage, region, and carrier-lock status; do not rely on “BTS phone” alone.
- Describe function, damage, battery condition, and repairs honestly, and use clear photos of the phone and every included item.
- Set an asking price by comparing recent completed sales with similar models and package contents, not just active listings.
- Check whether a current Samsung or carrier trade-in quote is available in your country. Treat it as a separate offer, not as a resale-market benchmark.
Trade-in references are not resale valuations
Samsung UK’s trade-in terms include “Galaxy S20 Plus BTS Edition” in a model schedule. That confirms the edition appeared in a trade-in document; it does not state a current trade-in value. Samsung UK’s terms should not be read as a quote for a particular phone.

A 2020 Singtel FAQ described a conditional device trade-in credit in Singapore for qualifying Samsung Concierge customers. It required at least 12 consecutive monthly subscriptions and a Samsung device in good working condition. This was a historical, market-specific offer, not a current general valuation.
