Not universally. As of October 30, 2026, the confirmed continuity is within the supported Xbox ecosystem: Xbox’s official Dispatch listing identifies Xbox cloud saves and Xbox Play Anywhere. A transfer between Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and mobile is not confirmed, and the available mobile-release coverage does not promise cross-save. That means you should not buy a second edition expecting it to import your existing progress.
What does “transfer a Dispatch save” mean?
It can mean several different things, and a platform feature that supports one kind of continuity does not automatically support the others. The key distinction is whether you are continuing within one platform ecosystem or moving a save between separate storefronts.
- Cloud-save continuity: A platform stores a game’s save online so it can be available on another supported device using that platform’s service. The game must implement the feature, and the platform account and compatible game version matter.
- Cross-progression: The game makes progress available across different platforms or storefronts, typically through a developer-supported account or another explicit linking system.
- Purchase or entitlement sharing: A program may let a player access an eligible game on more than one device. That does not, by itself, establish that progress can move between unrelated storefronts.
- Manual save import: A player copies or imports a save file using a documented process. No official Dispatch import code or migration procedure is identified in the available information.
For Dispatch, Xbox documentation supports continuity on Xbox surfaces, while transfers across Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and mobile remain unconfirmed. “Not confirmed” is the accurate description: it is not evidence that a transfer is technically impossible.
Which Dispatch save transfers are confirmed?

The Xbox listing identifies Xbox Series X|S, PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming and handheld as supported play surfaces, and names cloud saves and Xbox Play Anywhere. Microsoft’s Xbox developer documentation describes Play Anywhere as enabling cloud game saves on Xbox console and PC and supporting cross-progression for continuity across screens. Those statements describe the Xbox program and its supported ecosystem; they are not a promise that a Steam, PlayStation or mobile save can be read by Xbox.
Does Xbox Play Anywhere move a Steam or PlayStation save?
No such Dispatch transfer is confirmed. Play Anywhere supports continuity across eligible Xbox surfaces; it should not be read as a general save-conversion service between Xbox and other storefronts.
Microsoft’s Xbox developer documentation describes the program in terms of cloud game saves on Xbox console and PC under a single TitleID, with cross-progression across screens. This distinction matters if you are deciding whether to buy another edition. An Xbox feature label answers a question about supported Xbox continuity; it does not confirm cross-store interoperability. A platform can keep a save in its own cloud service without making that save portable to another store’s format, account system or game build.
Can I continue a Steam save on another PC?
Possibly, if Dispatch’s current Steam configuration supports Steam Cloud for its save data. Steam Support says its Cloud service can store saves and other user-specific data when a game uses the feature; that general capability is not proof that Dispatch has enabled it.
Before relying on a second Steam PC, check the game’s current Steam feature information and confirm that both computers use the intended Steam account and a compatible game version. Do not infer that a local save has uploaded merely because Steam Cloud exists as a platform feature. Even when Steam Cloud is available for a title, it is a Steam-to-Steam continuity mechanism—not a bridge to Xbox, PlayStation or mobile. A cloud copy and a cross-platform import are different capabilities.

Keep the original save intact until the destination platform’s transfer support is explicitly confirmed. Use the steps below to avoid treating a possible feature as a guaranteed migration.
- Identify the exact move. Write down the source and destination: for example, Steam PC to Xbox, Xbox console to Xbox PC, or console to Android. A move within one ecosystem may have different support from a cross-store move.
- Check the destination edition’s official information. Look for an explicit Dispatch statement naming cross-progression, the relevant platforms and any account-linking requirements. A generic cloud-save label is not enough to confirm a cross-store transfer.
- For Xbox-to-Xbox continuity, use the Xbox edition and supported surface. Sign in with the Xbox account associated with the game and follow current platform and game-version requirements. The documented path is platform cloud-save continuity, not a manual save-file copy.

Because that release date is after October 30, 2026, the mobile edition is not yet available on the date of this article. The absence of a transfer announcement in the available coverage is not a definitive statement that mobile saves can never sync with other platforms. Cloud storage answers where a platform keeps save data; portability answers whether another platform or game edition can recognize and use it. Those are separate technical and account capabilities.
Steam Support explains that Steam Cloud stores saves and other user-specific data when the game uses the feature. That does not mean an Xbox or PlayStation edition can retrieve the data, or that a mobile build uses the same account and save format. Likewise, Xbox cloud saves and Play Anywhere document Xbox continuity but do not establish a route into Steam, PlayStation or mobile.

A confirmed cross-platform feature would need to identify the supported services and any account or version requirements. No shared Dispatch account, save-import code or cross-store migration instructions are confirmed in the available official material. Without that explicit support, the safest planning assumption for a cross-store move is that you may need to start again—not that transfer is impossible.
