Dead by Daylight’s Terrifier chapter is scheduled for November 24, 2026; it has not launched in the live game yet. The limited 10.3.0 Public Test Build (PTB) is available only on Steam. It introduces Art the Clown (listed in-game as The Terrifier) as the Killer, Sienna Shaw as the Survivor and the original Hartshorne Mall map. The PTB is not a console release, and its progress will not transfer to the live game. At launch, Behaviour’s published cross-play list covers Steam, Windows/Microsoft Store, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch. Chapter purchases unlock characters and their exclusive items; maps remain free for all players, while Terrifier-specific prices and alternative-currency details have not been announced.
Is the Dead by Daylight Terrifier chapter out yet?
No. Behaviour lists November 24, 2026 as the chapter’s scheduled release date. The official chapter page is a pre-release announcement, so a storefront listing, price or final launch balance should not be treated as confirmed until the live release notes and platform stores update.
What is available in the PTB?
The 10.3.0 PTB began on Steam at midnight Japan time on October 29, 2026, which was October 28 at 15:00 UTC. It is a time-limited test environment, not early permanent ownership of the downloadable content. Behaviour describes the PTB as Steam-only; it is not a console-wide launch. See the official chapter announcement and Public Test Build FAQ.

How do I enter the Steam PTB?
You need a PC copy of Dead by Daylight on Steam and an active PTB branch. Use this path:

- Open Steam and select Library.
- Right-click Dead by Daylight, choose Properties, then open Betas.
- Select Public Test Build from the branch menu and let Steam download the test files.
- Launch the game and confirm that the PTB build is shown before joining a match.
If the Public Test Build option is missing, Behaviour says a PTB may not currently be live. Steam access also does not grant a console copy or a permanent license to the chapter.
Does PTB progress carry into the live game?
No. The Terrifier PTB support notes state that progress made in the test build does not carry over to the live version. Treat bloodpoints, unlocks, levels and other test progress as temporary, and expect the live chapter to use its own account state after November 24.
Which platforms are included in Terrifier cross-play?
Terrifier should use Dead by Daylight’s existing cross-play network when the chapter is live. Behaviour’s cross-play support page names these platforms:
| Platform | Cross-play listing | What this means |
|---|---|---|
| Steam | Included | PC players can match with supported console and PC storefront players on the same game version. |
| Windows / Microsoft Store | Included | Windows players use the cross-play matchmaking pool. |
| Epic Games Store | Included | Epic players can join the same cross-platform pool. |
| PlayStation 4 | Included | PS4 players can match with the listed platforms. |
| PlayStation 5 | Included | PS5 players use the same supported cross-play system. |
| Xbox One | Included | Xbox One players can match across the published list. |
| Xbox Series S/X | Included | Current Xbox consoles are listed for cross-play. |
| Nintendo Switch | Included | Switch appears on Behaviour’s cross-play list. |
Behaviour’s separate cross-progression documentation mentions Nintendo Switch 2, but that is a different feature. The cross-play support page does not expressly establish Nintendo Switch 2 cross-play, and it does not confirm a Terrifier-specific Switch 2 release. Do not infer one list from the other; wait for a platform-specific announcement.
The definitive reference for supported cross-play platforms is Behaviour’s cross-play FAQ.

How can I play Terrifier matches with friends on another platform?
Cross-play lets players match together; it does not move a purchase between accounts. Everyone must be running the same Dead by Daylight version, and a mismatched update can temporarily prevent cross-platform matchmaking.
- Open the game’s Friends panel.
- Choose Add Friend.
- Search for your friend’s Dead by Daylight ID.
- Accept the request, select the friend in your list and send an invitation.
- Start the party after all members are on the same update version.
These are Behaviour’s published instructions for adding players from other platforms; the support guide also explains the version requirement. If you disable cross-play from the main menu, matchmaking is restricted to the same platform and queues may take longer. Re-enable it when you want the full cross-platform player pool.

Who are the Terrifier Killer and Survivor?
The chapter pairs Art the Clown with Sienna Shaw. Art is the Killer and is identified in the game as The Terrifier; Sienna is the new Survivor. Their abilities and perks described below come from the 10.3.0 PTB and can change before the November 24 release. Behaviour’s chapter details are the current pre-release reference.
Art the Clown — The Terrifier
Art’s PTB power is called Bag of Toys. Behaviour describes a randomized selection of toys that can include a flail, flamethrower, firearm, acid bottle and bike horn. The randomization is part of the test-build design; the final power, values and availability may be adjusted in launch patch notes.
His named PTB perks are:
- Funny Business
- Kill Spree
- Laughingstock
Those names identify the intended perk set, not a guarantee that every trigger, cooldown or numerical effect will remain unchanged.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

Sienna Shaw
Sienna’s named PTB perks are:
- Best Gift Ever
- Shared Trauma
- Valkyrie’s Rage
Read the PTB descriptions as provisional. A perk interaction involving a Map item does not give players a way to select Hartshorne Mall; it is a gameplay effect, not a map-selection system.
Do I have to buy the Terrifier chapter to play its map?
No. Behaviour’s Chapters page states, “Maps remain free for all players.” Chapter purchases unlock the chapter’s characters and exclusive items, while maps are not gated behind buying the chapter. This means ownership of Art or Sienna and access to Hartshorne Mall are separate questions.
Behaviour has not published Terrifier-specific prices, bundle contents, Auric Cell costs, Iridescent Shard eligibility or launch bonuses in the reviewed material. Do not borrow prices or currency rules from an older chapter, and do not assume that either character will be free. Check the live in-game store and official chapter page after November 24. The general Chapters page explains the character-and-map distinction.
What is Hartshorne Mall, and when will it enter map rotation?
Hartshorne Mall is an original Dead by Daylight map in The Subdivisions realm. The PTB material connects its story to Dwight Fairfield; it is not presented as a purchasable film-location entitlement. The official PTB release record identifies the mall’s presence in the 10.3.0 test build.
The reviewed official sources do not establish a fixed live rotation date, a spawn percentage, a guaranteed next-match method or permanent special weighting for Hartshorne Mall. The Japanese announcement confirms the original mall as part of the update but does not settle its independent live-map timing. Exact odds and timing therefore remain unconfirmed until Behaviour publishes live patch notes. Follow the PTB release record and the chapter announcement for updates.

Because maps are free, a player who does not purchase the Terrifier characters can still encounter the mall when it is in the live map pool. There is no supported way in the current information to force it into the next match.
What is the difference between cross-play and cross-progression?
Cross-play controls who can enter the same matchmaking pool. Cross-progression synchronizes eligible progress through a Behaviour Account. Joining a cross-play lobby does not transfer a DLC purchase, Auric Cells or inventory between platforms.
Behaviour’s cross-progression FAQ warns that Auric Cells bought on Nintendo Switch do not transfer to other platforms. It also says Nintendo eShop DLC cannot be shared from Switch to other platforms, while DLC bought on other platforms can be shared to Switch under the stated account rules. These ownership limitations are separate from whether friends can see one another online.
Read the current Cross-Progression FAQ before linking accounts or buying the chapter on more than one platform.

- Confirm the date in Behaviour’s chapter announcement rather than treating the Steam PTB as the release.
- Update every player’s copy before forming a cross-platform party.
- Use Dead by Daylight IDs, not platform usernames alone, when adding friends.
- Keep PTB expectations separate from live ownership; test progress is discarded.
- Wait for the live store to publish Terrifier prices and currency options.
- Check the first live patch notes for Hartshorne Mall’s rotation status and any balance changes to Bag of Toys and the six perks.
- If you use Switch, review the cross-progression rules before assuming DLC or Auric Cells will appear on another device.
Are there physical Terrifier collectibles separate from the game?
Yes. Trick or Treat Studios documents an officially licensed, posable 1:6-scale Art the Clown figure (SKU MAARDA100) and a latex Art mask (SKU MARLDA100). It also lists a 5-inch Terrifier 2 Angel Warrior Sienna Shaw figure (SKU MATTDA109), whose manufacturer page marks the item unavailable. These are film-character merchandise, not Dead by Daylight DLC and cannot unlock Art, Sienna or Hartshorne Mall.

Bottom line: what is confirmed?
The confirmed picture is a November 24, 2026 live release after a Steam-only PTB. Art the Clown, Sienna Shaw and Hartshorne Mall are the featured content; the mall is an original, free-access map rather than a paid map add-on. Cross-play should cover Behaviour’s published PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch list, but Nintendo Switch 2 cross-play and Terrifier-specific prices remain unconfirmed. Treat PTB perks, map rotation and store details as provisional until the live patch and storefront listings appear.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Nintendo Switch 2 confirmed for Terrifier cross-play?
Not from the current cross-play documentation. Nintendo Switch 2 appears in Behaviour’s cross-progression material, but the separate cross-play list does not expressly name it, so its Terrifier matchmaking status remains unconfirmed.
Will the Terrifier chapter be included with Game Pass or PlayStation Plus?
The cited announcements do not promise inclusion in either subscription. Check the relevant platform storefront and Behaviour’s launch communication rather than assuming a subscription entitlement.
How can I tell whether the Terrifier PTB is still open?
In Steam, open Dead by Daylight’s Properties and look under Betas. If Public Test Build is not offered, Behaviour says a PTB may not currently be active.
Where will the final Terrifier prices be posted?
The live in-game store and platform storefront listings should provide the character or chapter prices once the November 24 release is available. No Terrifier-specific amount is established in the pre-release material.
