You can access all of the documented Cyberpunk: Edgerunners tie-ins from inside Cyberpunk 2077 without buying Phantom Liberty, replacing an existing save, or streaming the anime first. Update the game, then use the route that matches the item you want: Over the Edge at Megabuilding H4 for David Martinez’s jacket, a separate Corpo Plaza pickup for Rebecca’s Guts shotgun, the North Oak Columbarium for memorials, and Clampdown in Update 2.5 for King’s five-piece set and Coronation revolver. Update 2.5 launched on October 22, 2026, and also adds the HKGN 102.0 FM station.
The original anime references came with free Patch 1.6 in 2022; the newer quest belongs to Edgerunners 2 Update 2.5. Keeping those versions and triggers separate prevents the most common mistake: searching for David’s jacket when the goal is actually King’s equipment.

There are two distinct waves of tie-ins. Patch 1.6, the free Edgerunners Update released in 2022, added anime-inspired equipment and the quest that leads to David’s jacket; the official announcement is documented in CD PROJEKT RED’s Patch 1.6 notes. Rebecca’s Guts shotgun is a separate environmental pickup rather than an Over the Edge reward. Update 2.5, released October 22, 2026, adds the new Edgerunners 2 crossover quest, Clampdown, plus King’s gear, his Coronation revolver and the HKGN 102.0 FM radio station. The developer’s feature overview lists King’s set as five pieces; that is an item count, not a separately sold bundle. The same update contains unrelated additions, including clothing collections, Glamdocs, dual-wielding and the Welcome to Paradise quest, so not every 2.5 feature is an anime collectible.
How do I get David Martinez’s jacket in Cyberpunk 2077?
Start Over the Edge at Megabuilding H4 in Santo Domingo’s Arroyo district. The jacket is awarded after the message sequence involving Muamar “El Capitan” Reyes and Falco, not immediately when you watch the braindance.
- Travel to Megabuilding H4. Look beside the entrance for green Edgerunners graffiti and a nearby trash can containing a braindance.
- Play the braindance. This starts Over the Edge. If the job marker does not appear, verify that you examined the braindance rather than simply walking past it.
- Contact Muamar “El Capitan” Reyes. The conversation connects V to David Martinez’s story.
- Advance in-game time. Allow roughly a day or two for Falco’s follow-up message. This is an in-game wait, not a requirement to complete a real-world timer.
- Follow the new marker to the Badlands Dam. The jacket is in a container near El Capitan. Open it to add the clothing item to V’s inventory.
This location sequence is documented in PC Gamer’s illustrated walkthrough of David’s jacket; the official Patch 1.6 notes establish the anime-inspired equipment but do not provide this granular route. The item is entirely in-game—you do not need to buy a physical jacket.

What if Over the Edge does not start?
- Return to the H4 entrance and inspect the braindance in the trash can.
- Confirm that the interaction actually launched Over the Edge in your journal.
- After contacting El Capitan, pass enough in-game time for Falco’s message to arrive.
- Do not use Clampdown’s prerequisites as a substitute; Clampdown is a separate Update 2.5 job.
These checks cover the documented trigger sequence. They do not diagnose every technical or save-specific fault, so a job that remains absent after all prerequisites may require platform-specific support.
Where can I find Rebecca’s shotgun in Cyberpunk 2077?
Rebecca’s iconic Guts shotgun is a free pickup in Corpo Plaza and is not a reward from Over the Edge. No quest is attached to it.

- Climb toward the memorial greenery above the plaza.
- Locate the three meditating monks.
- Search the bushes directly behind them for the Guts pickup.
- Collect it and check your inventory; no conversation or mission completion is required.
The illustrated route is documented in PC Gamer’s Guts walkthrough. It is a world pickup, so searching the H4 trash can or waiting for Falco will not reveal it.
Where are the Edgerunners memorials?
Visit the Columbarium in North Oak, Westbrook, to find niches attributed to members of the original crew, including David, Gloria and Rebecca. The memorials are environmental details rather than a quest reward, weapon or clothing unlock.
The character list and niche positioning come from an unofficial, undated fan guide at Cyberpunk 2077 Wiki’s Edgerunners page. Treat it as a useful navigation aid, not as a developer-confirmed Patch 2.0 note. You can visit the Columbarium independently of Over the Edge, Guts and Clampdown.
How do I start Clampdown in Edgerunners 2 Update 2.5?
Finish The Heist, complete two gigs for Wakako, and wait for Wakako’s message. Those are the documented unlock conditions for Clampdown; the two-gig figure is a threshold, not the total number of Wakako jobs in the game.
- Install Update 2.5. The update launched on October 22, 2026. On a console or PC storefront, let the game finish updating before checking the journal.
- Complete The Heist. Clampdown does not unlock in a new game before this main-story milestone.
- Finish two Wakako gigs. Any two qualifying Wakako jobs satisfy the stated threshold.
- Wait for Wakako’s message. The message is the trigger that presents the new job; completing the gigs alone does not start Clampdown instantly.
- Accept and follow Clampdown. The mission brings V into contact with Weak Kingsley and his crew at Night City Prison, before the events of the second anime.
CD PROJEKT RED confirms the release and prerequisites in its launch notice and feature overview. The developer’s Associate Game Director, Paweł Sasko, described the crossover’s design by saying, “From the beginning, believability and immersion were the most important for me.” That comment explains the creative approach, not an additional unlock condition.

Where is King’s gear during Clampdown?
Clampdown contains King’s five-piece gear set and his Coronation revolver. A contemporary walkthrough places the specific outfit-and-weapon pickup in a bathroom duffle bag under a bench during the prison sequence. The official announcements identify the set and revolver; the duffle-bag instruction comes from the more granular walkthrough account, so follow the mission marker and inspect that bag when the sequence reaches the bathroom.
King’s equipment is part of the quest’s in-game rewards. It is not a separate store purchase, and it does not require Phantom Liberty or an Ultimate Edition license.
How do I listen to the Edgerunners 2 music?
Enter a vehicle or use an available radio and tune to HKGN 102.0 FM. The station carries music from the Edgerunners series and arrives with Update 2.5. It is an audio feature, not a mission trigger: tuning in will not start Clampdown or grant King’s equipment.
Likewise, the update’s other systems—such as Glamdocs, dual-wielding, the clothing collections and Welcome to Paradise—should be treated as separate 2.5 additions rather than hidden Edgerunners collectibles.
What do I need to access the content?

The October 22 launch notice lists PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. An earlier FAQ described Switch 2 as forthcoming, but the later launch notice is the current availability statement. The FAQ also says the Mac App Store edition follows later, while the launch notice says “Mac”; no Mac App Store rollout date is established, so check the storefront you use rather than assuming a date.
What is the difference between Over the Edge, Guts and Clampdown?
They reference different anime material and use different access methods. Over the Edge is a Patch 1.6 quest for David’s jacket; Guts is an untracked Corpo Plaza pickup for Rebecca’s shotgun; Clampdown is the Update 2.5 quest that introduces Edgerunners 2 characters and King’s equipment.

Do I need to watch the anime first?
No. The game rewards are unlocked through gameplay conditions and map interactions inside the owned, updated game. CD PROJEKT RED identifies Netflix as the home of both anime installments, but watching either series is not listed as a prerequisite for any item or quest.
Watching can add context to the characters and memorials, but it cannot substitute for the H4 braindance, the Corpo Plaza search or Clampdown’s story requirements.
