Creatures of Sonaria: Comprehensive Guide to Lore Events

Lore Events in Creatures of Sonaria are limited-time mini-events built around Sonaria’s Wardens, hidden lore, puzzle missions, and exclusive creatures or cosmetics. The documented events are Mystery of the Keys 2023, Lore Event 2024, and Lore Event 2025. As of August 8, 2026, the event index does not list a Lore Event 2026, and there is no confirmed rule that a Lore Event must return every September.

This guide explains where to find event missions, what each Lore Event required, which rewards were attached to each quest, and the failure points that caused many older guides to become unreliable.

How to find Lore Event missions

1. Enter the Main Menu.
2. Select Missions.
3. During an active Lore Event, open the Event tab.

The Event tab appears only while an event is active. Lore missions use a separate progression category from Regional, Gacha, Creature, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly missions. None of the documented Lore Event objectives require a chat command.

Event information may also appear in the game’s event interface and in the event listings on the main game page. If the Event tab is missing, the event may have ended, may not have started on your server yet, or may not currently be running.

The 2023 event ran for three weeks, 2024 ran for two weeks, and 2025 was divided into two parts. These events are classified as mini-events rather than guaranteed annual main events.

Mystery of the Keys Event 2023

Dates: September 22–October 13, 2023.

Mystery of the Keys was the first major recode-era Lore Event. Its story focused on the Wardens and introduced in-game Roblox UGC rewards. The main progression was divided into Boreal, Eigion, and Angelic quests, followed by the Urzuk side mission.

Part 1: Boreal’s Quest

The first 5,000 global completions received the Boreal Warden’s Key. The alternative reward was the Ice Material Override.

The quest required you to:

• Experience the Winter Season five times originally, later reduced to three.
• Survive in the Tundra biome for 30 minutes.
• Find all five Boreal Ancient Key Fragments.
• Use the correct spell to bind the Ancient Key.

The spell step was an interaction-based spell-book puzzle. You had to match the correct symbol pattern using the event’s spell guide. It was not a chat command, and after the correct spell was cast, the spell-book interaction could not be repeated.

Boreal quest problems to watch for

• Guides that still say five Winter seasons describe the original requirement. The later requirement was three.
• Extra Ancient Key Fragments found during the event’s first day did not count toward the Boreal objective.
• The Ice Material Override was not the ordinary reward for players who completed the quest early enough to claim the limited key reward.

Mysterious Clues

This side mission rewarded the Nebula Color Palette. Its objectives were to experience the Mythic Season five times, experience Warden’s Nebula weather, and discover four hidden clues.

The clues also revealed event-related codes. Although the mission listed a 60-minute cooldown, it was not reliably repeatable because discovered clues stopped being interactable. Some clues also became unavailable because of event bugs.

Part 2: Eigion’s Quest

The first 5,000 global completions received the Eigion Warden’s Key. The alternative reward was Eigion’s Follower Signature Look.

The quest required:

• Completion of Boreal’s Key Quest.
• Collection of 20 Eigion’s Pearls.
• Completion of the color-memory door.
• Hatching 25 players as an aquatic creature.
• Solving the key’s number combination.

Two sections were intentionally time-locked for 24 and 32 hours. These delays were part of the event design and were not automatically evidence of a player-specific bug.

Collecting Eigion’s Pearls

Pearls appeared at possible fixed locations around the map and had to be delivered to the Pearl Reception area inside Eigion’s Warden Shrine. The reception interaction could sometimes be reached from the shrine roof.

Pearl spawns were client-side. Another player could not see or collect the same pearl that appeared for you. During the first week, only one pearl spawned across the map at a time; this was later increased to five.

Eigion’s color-memory door

The door worked like a Simon Says-style memory puzzle, but the leftmost symbol column used an offset mapping:

Eigion’s number combination

The combination was randomized per player. During most of the event, numbers ranged from 1 to 99; after the third week, the range changed to 1–10.

The map contained 12 tablets arranged in pairs. One tablet displayed your player-specific numbers, while its paired tablet showed the order clue in Sonarian writing. An incorrect attempt triggered a five-minute cooldown and randomized the required numbers again, so repeatedly guessing was counterproductive.

Part 3: Angelic’s Quest

The first 5,000 global completions received the Angelic Warden’s Key. The original alternative reward was two Revive Tokens. After community criticism, an Angelic Signature Palette was later distributed through a limited redeem code.

Objectives included:

• Completing Eigion’s Key Quest.
• Completing Angelic Warden’s obstacle course.
• Discovering all Warden Shrines.
• Helping the community grow 300,000 creatures to age 100.

The obstacle course was reached through a teleporter in Redwoods. You needed a creature that could jump. Fliers, gliders, and semi-aquatics using glide were not valid for the course. Checkpoints preserved progress, including after leaving the course to eat or drink.

Help Rebus

The Help Rebus side mission awarded the Urzuk species. It required completing Angelic Warden’s Quest, collecting and delivering 10 Rebus notes, discovering Rebus’s notebook, and experiencing five disasters.

Rebus notes could be collected by any creature, but the notebook had visibility restrictions. Pero and Ikoran were confirmed as creatures able to see it. Season and time-of-day restrictions may also have applied.

2023 technical failures

The event had several documented problems:

• Pearls spawned in older servers before the intended quest unlock.
• Players in those servers could complete Eigion’s quest earlier than intended.
• An exploit allowed one player to obtain the Angelic Key prematurely.
• Some side-mission clues became permanently non-interactable after discovery.
• The game was temporarily inaccessible during the first event day.

Lore Event 2024

Dates: September 20, 2024, at 3:02 PM PDT, through October 4, 2024, at 3:22 PM PDT.

The 2024 story centered on a corruption spreading through Sonaria. Inkpujin was introduced as a creature created to fight the corruption.

Part 1: Warden’s Purge

Warden’s Purge rewarded Eigion’s Follower Signature Look. Its objectives were to destroy 15 map infestations, heal 10 map cracks, and discover all six Warden lore-discovery points.

The six points were interactable Warden Shrines. During the event, shrine interaction used the G key on keyboard. Hellion’s and Novus’s shrines did not provide the required talk interaction during the event.

Corruption mechanics

• Infestations: Destroy them by damaging them.
• Cracks: Heal them by applying healing.
• Blue Essences: Collectible event items used in later missions.
• Decorations: Corruption-themed map changes appeared during the event.

Infestations and cracks could disappear after being completed and might produce a purple lightning effect.

Angel’s Growth

You had to complete Warden’s Purge first. The reward was Angelic’s Follower Signature Look.

Objectives were to grow two healer creatures to age 100, deliver nine essences, and discover three keys.

Blue Essences appeared at night in the Desert, Flower Cove, Jungle, Mountains, Rocky Drop, and Volcano Island. They did not appear for you until Warden’s Purge was complete. You could carry up to three at a time and deliver them to the Blue Essence Dropoff Menhir on Volcano Island.

Essences produced an audio cue when nearby and a splash sound when collected or delivered.

Inkpujin’s Legacy

After completing Angel’s Growth, you could start Inkpujin’s Legacy. It rewarded the Urzuk species.

Objectives included surviving three tornadoes or volcanic eruptions, destroying 20 infestations, healing 15 cracks, delivering nine essences, and discovering all five Inkpujin pieces.

These are the confirmed creature or ability restrictions documented for the event; they should not be treated as a complete universal list of every possible qualifying creature.

Part 2: Inkpujin

Part 2 released on September 27, 2024, at 3:06 PM PDT. It added Inkpujin, the Icebreaker Plushie, Breath, Life, Metal, and Plasma Fragments, plus the Cauldron, Obstacle Course, and Warden’s Labyrinth activities. A temporary no-flight zone was also placed above event areas.

Map infestations could drop Plasma Fragments, while cracks could drop Metal Fragments.

Frozen Resolve

This mission required completion of Inkpujin’s Legacy and rewarded the Icebreaker Plushie. Its objectives were to forge Inkpujin’s heart, complete the first maze level, and destroy 15 infestations.

Echoes of Borealis

After Frozen Resolve, you could forge Inkpujin’s armor, complete the second maze level, and heal 10 cracks. The reward was Boreal’s Bane Signature Look.

The Final Forging

This final chain required forging Inkpujin’s soul, escaping the maze completely, and completing the obstacle course. It rewarded the Inkpujin species.

All three forging objectives used the Cauldron minigame. Recipes required the correct ingredients in the correct sequence.

2024 Cauldron and flight issues

Before a quick patch on September 27, an incorrect Cauldron recipe could consume the selected ingredients without returning them. The patch changed the behavior so incorrect attempts no longer permanently consumed the resources.

The temporary altitude restriction around event areas was intentional anti-skipping behavior. It was not a permanent change to the general flight system.

Lore Event 2025

Start date: September 12, 2025. Part 2: September 19, 2025.

The 2025 event brought back earlier Lore-event content while introducing Dioxikin. Urzuk and Inkpujin returned, and the event added Lore Event Tokens as a separate reward system.

Call of the Ancestors

The main mission required you to experience one Warden’s Nebula weather event, experience two Volcano disasters, grow a Tier 4 creature to Veneration Stage 1, and spin the Herbivores Gacha five times.

The reward was the Ancestral Origin Signature Look, and the mission had a 12-hour cooldown.

A related mission required venerating a new stage on a small creature and rewarded the Nucleic Acid Color Palette. Its listed cooldown was also 12 hours.

Statue missions and Dioxikin

Dioxikin was not obtained by opening Lore Event Tokens. You had to complete five statue missions and then finish a summoning interaction in Central Rockfaces.

One statue became available on the first event day, followed by one new statue per day for the next four days. Each statue mission awarded one Lore Event Token as a side reward.

Summoning Dioxikin

1. Complete all five statue missions.
2. Travel to the summoning circle in Central Rockfaces.
3. Interact with the circle using E on keyboard, tap on touch devices, or X on Xbox.
4. Throw rocks at all five Lore runes within 30 seconds.
5. After all five runes are hit, Dioxikin is awarded automatically.

The statue chain is the normal in-game route to Dioxikin. Lore Event Tokens are separate and do not replace this summoning sequence.

Part 2: Return of Inkpujin

Part 2 added one mission for Inkpujin and another for the Nucleic Acid Color Palette. Premium bundles also offered Urzuk, Dioxikin, or Inkpujin, but those bundles were separate from the standard event missions and the Lore Event Token gacha.

Lore Event Tokens

Lore Event Tokens rolled the 2025 Lore gacha. The documented reward pool included:

• Nebula Color Palette
• Angelic’s Follower Signature Look
• Eigion’s Follower Signature Look
• Boreal’s Bane Signature Look
• Icebreaker Plushie

They did not directly unlock Dioxikin.

Common mistakes in Lore Event guides

“The Lore Event happens every September.”

There is no verified annual guarantee. The documented index contains events in 2023, 2024, and 2025, but no Lore Event 2026 as of August 8, 2026.

“Urzuk was available only in 2023.”

Urzuk returned in both Lore Event 2024 and Lore Event 2025.

“Lore Event Tokens unlock Dioxikin.”

They do not. Dioxikin required all five 2025 statue missions and the Central Rockfaces rune-summoning sequence.

“Mission Unlock Tokens skip event missions.”

Event missions are separate from ordinary mission categories. Community documentation and player reports identify event missions as ineligible for ordinary Full or Partial Mission Unlock Tokens, so plan to complete the objectives normally.

“Boreal’s Quest always needs five Winter seasons.”

That was the original 2023 requirement. It was later reduced to three Winter seasons.

“Every player can see the same event objects.”

Not necessarily. Eigion’s Pearls in 2023 were client-side, meaning other players could not see or collect your pearl spawn.

“The Cauldron always returns ingredients after a failed recipe.”

That was false at the beginning of 2024 Part 2. Before the September 27 patch, incorrect recipes could consume ingredients without returning them.

“Fliers can bypass every Lore obstacle.”

The 2023 Angelic course restricted eligible movement types, and the 2024 event temporarily blocked flight around event-exclusive areas with an altitude restriction.

FAQ

Are Lore Events guaranteed to happen every year in Creatures of Sonaria?

No. Lore Events are classified as mini-events, and the documented history does not establish a guaranteed annual schedule. Events were recorded in 2023, 2024, and 2025; no Lore Event 2026 was listed as of August 8, 2026.

Where are Lore Event missions located?

Open Main Menu, choose Missions, and select the Event tab while a Lore Event is active. The tab disappears when no event is running.

How do you get Dioxikin?

In the 2025 event, complete all five statue missions, travel to the summoning circle in Central Rockfaces, interact with it, and hit all five Lore runes with rocks within 30 seconds. Lore Event Tokens do not directly unlock Dioxikin.

Did Urzuk return after the 2023 Lore Event?

Yes. Urzuk returned during Lore Event 2024 and again during Lore Event 2025.

Can Mission Unlock Tokens skip Lore missions?

Ordinary Full and Partial Mission Unlock Tokens are not documented as valid for event missions. The normal route is to complete the event objectives.

Why can’t I see an Eigion Pearl or event object another player found?

The 2023 Eigion Pearls were client-side. Each player could receive a separate pearl spawn that other players could not see or collect.
