Corelight announced a $75 million Series D on September 2, 2021, led by Energy Impact Partners. The company said it would use the investment to expand its global market presence and develop new data and cloud offerings; it did not provide a detailed spending breakdown.
What Corelight announced
The Series D brought Corelight’s company-reported funding raised to $160 million at the time. That cumulative figure was reported by Corelight in 2021, following the round—not an independently audited financial figure.
Corelight described itself as an open network detection and response (NDR) provider. Contemporaneous coverage characterized its platform as network traffic analysis built on the open-source Zeek framework. SecurityWeek’s September 2, 2021 coverage provides that product context.
What Corelight said it would do with the money
Corelight named two aims: accelerating its global market presence and developing new data and cloud offerings. The announcement did not specify budgets, timelines, product names, or a more detailed allocation of the proceeds, so those aims should be understood as the company’s 2021 plans rather than confirmed outcomes.

How the 2021 round fits Corelight’s later funding history
The $75 million Series D is historical, not Corelight’s latest announced financing. On April 30, 2024, Corelight announced a $150 million Series E. The available announcements establish those funding events, but do not establish the company’s financial or operational status in October 2026. Corelight’s 2024 Series E announcement gives the later milestone.
