Sony does not list Xbox consoles as compatible with the DualSense Edge, and Microsoft does not list PS5 for the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. For an Elite 2 on PS5, Brook says its Wingman P5 adapter supports the controller, subject to Brook’s compatibility list and setup requirements.
Can you use the DualSense Edge on Xbox?
Sony does not document the DualSense Edge as compatible with Xbox consoles, so you should not expect it to pair and work as a native Xbox controller. Sony’s DualSense Edge support page lists selected computers and Apple devices—not Xbox—as supported connection targets.
The listed systems are Windows 10 (64-bit) and Windows 11, macOS Ventura 13.3 or later, iOS and iPadOS 16.4 or later, and tvOS 16.4 or later. Even on those devices, Sony notes that feature support depends on the device and game. For example, haptic feedback may require a USB connection on PC and is unavailable on Mac and mobile; the headset jack requires a wired connection on PC or Mac.
Can you use an Xbox Elite controller on PS5?
Microsoft does not list PS5 as a supported platform for the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Its Elite Series 2 product page lists Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, Windows PCs, and mobile devices. For Windows 10 and 11, Microsoft lists Bluetooth, a compatible USB-C cable, or the separately sold Xbox Wireless Adapter as connection options.

Microsoft’s Xbox Wire discussion of the Series X controller describes cross-compatibility between Xbox Series X and Xbox One consoles and controllers, as well as PC and mobile use. It does not establish that an Xbox controller works directly on PS5.
Workaround: use a compatible adapter for an Xbox Elite 2 on PS5
Brook says its Wingman P5 supports selected wired and wireless controllers on PS5 and names the Xbox Elite 2 among supported products. This is Brook’s compatibility claim, not Sony or Microsoft certification. Brook says only controllers on its official compatibility list are guaranteed to work.

Before buying, check Brook’s current compatibility information for the exact controller model and revision, whether you plan to connect it wired or wirelessly, the adapter firmware required, and any feature limitations. The reviewed product information does not establish that every controller feature works through the adapter.
Brook’s Wingman FGC 2 is another PS5 adapter described as supporting Xbox and other controllers. Broad product wording is not enough to confirm a specific pairing: check the manufacturer’s compatibility information for the exact controller and setup.

Why USB-C or Bluetooth does not guarantee compatibility
A matching connector or wireless protocol does not by itself make a controller compatible with a console. Sony and Microsoft publish platform-specific compatibility information, while an adapter is a separate route with its own supported-device list. Treat a controller as supported only when the relevant manufacturer or adapter maker documents that specific combination.
