No—not permanently. As of 25 October 2026, Deezer has announced a reversible setting that will hide fully AI-generated tracks, albums and associated artists from search results. The company says it plans to introduce the setting globally before the end of 2026, but it has not published a final menu path or account-tier availability details. Deezer separately says it already excludes detected fully AI-generated tracks from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists.
What does Deezer’s AI-music filter actually block?
The announced control is a search filter for music Deezer identifies as fully AI-generated. When it is on, those tracks and albums, along with artists associated with that content, will not appear in Deezer search results. Deezer says listeners can deactivate the filter to regain access.
That is narrower than a permanent ban across the service. The feature’s stated scope is search results; Deezer’s existing handling of recommendations and editorial playlists is a separate platform policy. The announcement does not say that the new control will remove every AI-generated track from every part of Deezer.

What counts as fully AI-generated?
The target is music generated entirely by generative-AI systems. Deezer treats music made by human creators with limited AI assistance differently. So the setting should not be described as a filter for every song that used an AI tool, and the announcement does not establish that all AI-assisted human music will be hidden.

How do I filter AI-generated songs out of Deezer search?
Deezer has announced the control, but has not yet provided a final set of app or web instructions. The global rollout is planned before the end of 2026, so the setting may not be available to every listener yet.
- Check Deezer’s settings for an AI-music exclusion or search-filter control as the rollout reaches your account. Deezer has not confirmed the exact label or menu location.
- If the control is available, turn it on to exclude detected fully AI-generated tracks, albums and associated artists from search results.
- To restore access to that content in search, deactivate the control. Deezer describes it as reversible, not a permanent account restriction.
There is no confirmed account-tier matrix or final mobile-versus-web path in the announcement. If you cannot find the control, that alone does not show that your account is ineligible; the feature may not yet have reached your location or app version.
Does Deezer’s AI filter work on Flow and playlists?
Deezer says detected fully AI-generated tracks are already excluded from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists. That existing policy is distinct from the newly announced user-controlled filter, which applies to search results.
Recommendations and Flow
Deezer says the recommendation exclusion includes experiences such as Flow and track mixes. This describes what Deezer does with detected fully AI-generated tracks; it is not a guarantee that every recommendation experience will be free of all music involving AI. The stated scope is fully AI-generated content that the platform detects.
Editorial playlists
Deezer also says it excludes detected fully AI-generated tracks from editorial playlists. The announcement does not claim that the search toggle changes playlist contents or that it removes songs a listener has already saved or played.
Can I avoid synthetic music on Deezer before the toggle appears?
You can make use of Deezer’s stated recommendation and editorial-playlist exclusions now, but they are not a universal block. For content you encounter directly, inspect album AI labels; if you suspect a track is fully AI-generated but it is not labeled, Deezer says users can report suspected untagged content to Support for review.

- For algorithmic discovery, use the knowledge that Deezer says detected fully AI-generated tracks are excluded from recommendations, including Flow and track mixes.
- For editorial playlists, Deezer says the same detected tracks are excluded there as well.
- For a particular album, look for Deezer’s AI label rather than assuming that an unlabeled release is human-made.
- For suspected missing labels, send the content to Deezer Support for review; a report is a request for review, not proof that Deezer will classify it as AI-generated.
These measures depend on Deezer detecting or labeling the content. They do not let listeners independently block every track that might have involved AI.
How does Deezer identify and label AI-generated music?
Deezer has described AI detection and labeling as an established part of its handling of fully AI-generated releases. It says it became the first music-streaming platform to explicitly label AI-generated music in June 2025. Labels can help listeners assess an album, while the recommendation exclusions and announced search control determine where detected content appears.
Deezer reported that more than 14 million albums had been tagged by 2026. It also said that nearly 90,000 fully AI-generated tracks were arriving per day as of August 2026, accounting for more than 50% of total daily delivery on peak days. Those figures describe Deezer’s stated scale of detection and delivery, not the share of music a typical listener hears.
What the exclusion totals mean
Deezer said it had excluded more than 42 million AI-generated tracks from algorithmic and editorial recommendations between January 2025 and August 2026. That is a cumulative count over the stated period and applies to those recommendation and editorial contexts; it is not a count of tracks removed from Deezer entirely or hidden from search by the newly announced toggle.
Is Deezer’s control a platform policy or a listener setting?
It is both, but the two mechanisms do different jobs. Deezer’s existing exclusions are platform-level decisions for detected fully AI-generated tracks in recommendations and editorial playlists; the announced setting gives listeners a reversible way to exclude that content from search results.

What should Deezer listeners expect from the rollout?
Deezer’s 13 October 2026 newsroom announcement and 14 October 2026 community explanation say the feature will be introduced globally before the end of 2026. That is a rollout target, not confirmation that the control is already available to every listener on every device as of 25 October 2026.
The announcements do not specify a final settings path, account-tier eligibility, or a precise date for individual users. Those details should be checked in Deezer’s own app or service communications rather than inferred from the global target. Until the control appears, the existing recommendation and editorial-playlist exclusions, album labels and Support reporting process are the available measures described by Deezer.
Frequently Asked Questions
If I turn Deezer’s AI filter off, can I listen to AI-generated music again?
Yes. Deezer says the control is reversible and that deactivating it restores access to the excluded material in search. This does not mean the platform’s separate recommendation and editorial-playlist policies also change.

Deezer’s announcement says the new filter targets fully AI-generated tracks and albums, while human-made music with limited AI assistance is treated differently. A label is a useful signal to check, but Deezer’s stated figures do not explain every label’s exact criteria or how mixed albums are handled.
Will Deezer tell me when the filter reaches my account?
The announcement gives a global rollout target, but it does not specify account-by-account notifications or a precise date for each listener. Check Deezer’s app and official service communications for availability rather than relying on a fixed rollout date.
Can I report an AI-generated song that has no label?
Yes. Deezer says listeners can report suspected untagged content to Support for review. Include the specific track or album so the team can assess the item; a report does not itself confirm how Deezer will classify it.
