No—not as supported headphones in the Bose Music app. Skullcandy headphones can still play audio from a phone over Bluetooth: pair them in the phone’s Bluetooth settings. For Skullcandy-specific app features, use the Skullcandy App only if your exact headphone model is supported. Bose’s official app information and setup instructions describe Bose products, not Skullcandy headphones.
Why won’t my Skullcandy headphones show up in the Bose app?
The Bose Music app is not a universal Bluetooth headphone controller. Bose’s official app page says it works with listed Bose products, and its headphone setup flow is for adding Bose headphones in the Bose ecosystem. Skullcandy is not included in that supported-product catalog.
That distinction matters because Bluetooth pairing and app compatibility are separate things. Bluetooth lets a phone send audio to compatible headphones. A manufacturer app, by contrast, can discover or manage only products that its maker supports. Connecting Skullcandy headphones to your phone does not make them eligible to appear in Bose Music.

So if your Skullcandy headphones are missing from the Bose app, that is expected—not evidence by itself that the headphones or Bluetooth are broken. Repeating the Bose app’s add-headphones flow will not turn a Skullcandy model into a supported Bose product.

Can I use Skullcandy headphones with my phone without the Bose app?
Yes. Use the phone’s Bluetooth settings for ordinary audio playback; Bose Music is not required.
- Put the headphones into pairing mode using the instructions for that specific Skullcandy model.
- On the phone, open its Bluetooth settings and select the Skullcandy headphones from the available-device list.
- Wait for the phone to show that it is connected, then play audio from the app or service you normally use.
Skullcandy’s support instructions describe pairing an app-compatible product to the phone first, then choosing the product in the phone’s Bluetooth device list before linking it in the Skullcandy App. The phone’s Bluetooth settings are therefore the route to audio; a manufacturer app is a separate step for any supported model-specific functions.
Which app should I use for Skullcandy headphones?
Use the Skullcandy App if—and only if—your particular model is listed as compatible. Use the phone’s Bluetooth settings for the basic wireless audio connection.

Do not assume that a feature is available just because a model connects to Bluetooth or because the Skullcandy App can be installed. The manufacturer’s support page says some products are not supported in its app because of technology limitations. Check the exact model name against current Skullcandy support information before expecting app controls or other app-specific features.

How can I check whether my Skullcandy model supports the Skullcandy App?
Identify the complete model name, then compare it with Skullcandy’s app-support information. A family name or a similar-looking product is not enough: support can differ between models, including products with related names.
Skullcandy’s support information lists examples it says are not supported in the app: Dime 3, EcoBuds, Smokin’ Buds, Hesh, Hesh ANC, Hesh Evo, Venue, Indy, Sesh, Sesh Evo, Spoke, Jib, Jib True 2, Dime, Dime 2, Ink’d, Riff Wireless and Barrel. Treat that as a model-specific warning, not as proof that every Skullcandy product outside the list is supported. Verify the exact product against the manufacturer’s current compatibility information.
If your model is supported, follow Skullcandy’s instructions to pair it to the phone first and then link it in the Skullcandy App. If it is not supported, Bluetooth playback may still work, but do not expect the app to add controls for that model.
What should I do if Bluetooth works but the headphones still do not appear in an app?
First identify which app you mean. Not appearing in Bose Music is expected for Skullcandy headphones; not appearing in the Skullcandy App is a separate question that depends on the model’s app support.

- They do not appear in the phone’s Bluetooth list: return to the model’s pairing instructions and put the headphones into pairing mode before selecting them in Bluetooth settings.
- They appear in Bluetooth, but not Bose Music: use them for phone audio through Bluetooth. Bose’s documented app catalog and setup flow do not establish support for Skullcandy.
- They appear in Bluetooth, but not the Skullcandy App: verify the exact model against Skullcandy’s supported-product information and follow its order of operations: pair to the phone, select the product in Bluetooth, then link it in the app.
- You need a Bose Music control: check Bose’s supported-product information and choose a Bose headphone or earbud listed there. Bluetooth compatibility alone does not establish Bose Music support.
These checks separate a Bluetooth connection issue from an app-compatibility limitation. They also avoid treating an app’s empty device list as proof that a product cannot play audio.
Can I use Bose Music and the Skullcandy App together?
The available manufacturer instructions do not document a way to add or control Skullcandy headphones in Bose Music, nor do they establish that the two apps share controls. Treat the apps as separate manufacturer ecosystems: Bose Music is documented for supported Bose products, and Skullcandy App linking is for eligible Skullcandy models.
If your aim is to listen to audio rather than adjust a manufacturer-specific setting, use Bluetooth pairing and the phone’s ordinary audio controls. If you need an app feature, confirm that the headphone model and the app are a supported match before troubleshooting the connection further.

Which choice makes sense if I already own Skullcandy headphones?
If the headphones already play audio from your phone, keep using the Bluetooth connection; installing Bose Music will not add Skullcandy support. If you want Skullcandy-specific app features, check the exact model’s eligibility and use the Skullcandy App where supported.

If Bose Music controls are a requirement, select headphones or earbuds that appear in Bose’s supported-product information. That is the relevant compatibility criterion; a product’s ability to pair with the same phone over Bluetooth is not enough.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will Bose Music show a battery level for my Skullcandy headphones?
The Bose setup information does not document battery reporting for Skullcandy products. Check the phone’s Bluetooth interface or the Skullcandy product documentation for what is available for your model.
Does the Bose app failing to find Skullcandy mean the headphones are defective?
No. App discovery is different from Bluetooth playback, and Bose documents its app for supported Bose products. Test the headphones through the phone’s Bluetooth settings to assess the audio connection separately.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Can I use Skullcandy headphones with an iPhone or Android phone?
The documented connection path is the phone’s Bluetooth device list, rather than Bose Music. The exact pairing-mode steps depend on the headphone model, so use its own instructions.
Can a Skullcandy firmware update be installed through Bose Music?
The available Bose instructions do not describe firmware updates for Skullcandy devices. Check Skullcandy’s documentation for your exact model to learn whether an update process is available and which app or method it requires.
