Fix Blue Archive in this order: identify the service region and platform, protect the account by linking an ID, then apply the platform’s official restart, storage, update, and reinstall steps. Global, Korea, Taiwan, Asia and North America use Nexon accounts; Japan remains on Yostar until publisher-transfer maintenance in January 2027. A guest save can be lost during deletion, and a Japan account that is not transferred will no longer log in after that maintenance.
For a black screen, Nexon’s official sequence is to close the game and reconnect, then fully uninstall and reinstall only after the account is linked. Devices below the current minimum specifications may fail to launch, crash, or stop during loading.
What should I check before changing anything?
Start with the combination of platform, service region, account type and symptom. Blue Archive uses separate service environments, so a correct password can still appear to fail if the wrong server or publisher is selected.

China, Korea and Global are separate binaries and account graphs. These steps cannot move a Japanese account into Global or the reverse.

How do I protect my account before reinstalling?
Link the game account first. Nexon’s Global FAQ warns that a guest account (one that is not linked) may lose all game information when the app is deleted. Use the account-link menu inside the game and confirm that the displayed account or player information is the one you expect.
- Global and other Nexon services can use Google, Apple, Facebook, Naver or a Nexon account, depending on the service.
- Japan players should link a Yostar ID now if they intend to use the January 2027 transfer. The official transfer FAQ states, “ゲストアカウントの状態では引き継ぎできません。” (“Guest accounts cannot be transferred.”)
- Take a screenshot of your in-game name, level and user ID before troubleshooting. This gives support useful identifiers if an authentication problem continues.
- Do not delete the app when the game suddenly opens a new account after login. Treat that as an account-selection or login bug until support confirms otherwise.
How do I fix Blue Archive crashes and black screens on Android?
Close background apps, optimize the phone, check storage and specifications, then reconnect. Reinstall only after the account is linked; this is Nexon’s stated black-screen path.
Android crash and loading checklist
- Open Recent Apps and clear the list. On some phones, “Close All” can also close Blue Archive; launch it again afterward.
- Open Settings → Device Care → Optimize Now. Manufacturers rename this menu, but the goal is to release memory and stop background processes.
- Check free storage and compare the phone with the requirements below. Leave room for the download and temporary installation files, not merely the size of the store listing.
- Use Wi‑Fi for the unrestricted data download if a cellular plan blocks large files.
- If the screen is black during play, close the game completely and reconnect. Nexon’s FAQ says: “If the screen turns black while the game is in progress, please close the game and reconnect.”
- If the black screen remains, link the account if necessary, then open Menu → Settings → Apps → Blue Archive → Uninstall. Reinstall from the official app store and let the full data download finish.
- If the same failure returns after a clean reinstall, stop repeating reinstalls and contact Nexon support with the device model, Android version, region and account ID.

The Taiwan figures are a service-specific official reference, not a guarantee that every model with those numbers performs identically. A phone below the minimum can fail before troubleshooting steps have any effect.

When is the Android full-screen setting relevant?
Some devices render the game incorrectly when an app is excluded from the display cutout or full-screen list. Try Device Settings → Display → Full Screen Apps → Blue Archive → enable Full Screen, then restart the game.
What does YostarRequestFail:GEETEST_FAIL mean on an emulator?
This is an emulator-specific authentication challenge, not proof that the phone account is corrupted. A Japanese community wiki documents the error on BlueStacks Android 11 when Chrome auto-updates. Its reported workarounds are removing Chrome updates or disabling Chrome auto-update; the same page says BlueStacks 5.22.100 and later reportedly fixed the issue for some users, and 5.22.x high-performance mode helped some players in 2026.

Emulators are not presented as officially supported. Do not run macros or automation: the game’s terms prohibit assist tools. A linked account can be used on a phone and emulator, but close one instance before opening the other. If the emulator is removed, a linked Yostar or transfer account does not have its server data wiped.
How do I fix Blue Archive on iPhone or iPad?
Force-close the app, reconnect, and verify that the device meets the post-October 2025 minimum. Reinstall only after linking the account. If iOS opens a new game instead of the existing save, do not delete the app.

- Open the app switcher and swipe Blue Archive away. On older iPhones, press Home twice first; on iPhone X and later, swipe up from the bottom and then swipe the app away.
- Reconnect on a stable Wi‑Fi network and launch the game.
- For a persistent black screen, Nexon’s official sequence is to close and reconnect, then delete and reinstall. Long-press the icon and choose delete, or use Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Blue Archive → Delete App.
- If the reinstall still fails, clear Safari website data through Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data, reinstall, and download the complete client.
- Contact support instead of looping through deletions if the account is linked but the failure remains.
Current iOS minimums
Nexon’s GM-Arona notice dated October 14, 2025, effective October 21, set the current Global iOS minimum at iOS 15.0, iPhone XS, 4GB RAM, 3GB download capacity and at least 15GB of storage. The notice cautions that devices below the minimum may have difficulty running the game. The earlier iPhone 6S/2GB listing is obsolete for this requirement.

These are service-published reference points. They do not make an unsupported device compatible, and free storage must cover both the installed client and temporary update files.
What if iOS starts a new account?
On January 20, 2026, the Japanese official account reported an iOS bug in which unusual system settings could start a new account instead of logging into the existing one. It explicitly said the original data was not erased and instructed players not to delete the app. Stop at the fresh-game screen, check the selected login method and region, and contact support while the original installation remains intact.

Apple-linked Japanese accounts also have a platform limitation documented in an older Yostar notice: an Apple-linked account may not log in from Android. Before changing platforms, add a compatible linked method rather than assuming Apple sign-in will be available everywhere.

Why does Blue Archive fail to launch on PC?
Use the correct PC service first. Global is distributed through Steam and authenticates through a Nexon website account; Japan’s current Yostar client is a separate, temporary environment.
Global PC (Steam)
- Confirm that Steam is signed into the account associated with the Nexon website account. Google or Apple tapped inside the mobile app is not automatically the same identity as Google or Apple linked on the Nexon website.
- Link Google or Apple on the Nexon website before relying on PC login. A split identity can look like an empty account.
- Check disk space; the PC build is larger than the mobile client. Verify the installation files in Steam after an interrupted update.
- Restart Steam and Windows, then install the latest graphics driver from NVIDIA, AMD or Intel. On a laptop with integrated and dedicated graphics, assign Steam and Blue Archive to the dedicated GPU.
- If the official repair steps do not resolve a black window, optional PC hygiene includes launching windowed with
-windowedor-dx11, running the launcher as administrator and verifying Steam files. These are community troubleshooting suggestions, not Nexon guarantees. - Do not rename or delete
%LocalLow%Nexon Gamesuntil the Nexon account is linked; that action can remove local data.
Community installation references list Linux and Steam Deck as compatible with the Global Steam release, but store or launcher changes can alter that status. A Germany storefront age gate described in community guidance is a Steam-side restriction, not an indication that the Nexon account is banned.
Japan PC and XIGNCODE3 errors
The Japanese PC client launched on January 20, 2026, but the official transfer FAQ says the current “Blue Archive PC version” is available only until publisher-change maintenance begins. Nexon is preparing a replacement PC environment and has not announced whether it will be Steam or another platform.
- If another program launches and the game immediately closes, disable keyboard macros, AutoHotKey, memory editors and similar assist tools. XIGNCODE3 can force-close the client when prohibited software is detected.
- For an XIGNCODE3 failure, reinstall the client, reinstall the GPU driver, check antivirus exclusions and review the generated
xigncode.log. The XIGNCODE vendor’s FAQ and support channels are the appropriate place to submit that log; do not seek a bypass. - For a freeze,
Alt+F4closes the client,F10quits andF11toggles full screen. Gamepads are supported. - High CPU or loud fans can occur when V-Sync behaves incorrectly. The community JP guide’s workaround is in-game top-right menu → Options → Graphics → V-Sync → OFF.
How do I fix Blue Archive login errors without deleting the game?
First determine whether the error is an authentication mismatch, a service transition or a network problem. Reinstalling cannot repair a server-side account mapping and can endanger a guest save.

Japan: the January 2027 publisher transfer
Japan remains on Yostar until a maintenance window in January 2027. Nexon’s official transfer page is https://cmn-jp.nexon.com/transfer/bluearchive/. The page states: “引き継ぎの手続きをしないと、パブリッシャー変更メンテナンス後に同じゲームアカウントでログインできなくなります。” (“If you do not complete the transfer procedure, you will be unable to log in with the same game account after publisher-change maintenance.”)
- Link the game to a Yostar ID. A guest account cannot be transferred.
- Complete the pre-application when the November 2026 procedure page opens, before maintenance starts.
- Create or use a Nexon member account after the maintenance. Registration is available at https://jp.nexon.com/regist/?gm=portal; a phone number is not required.
- Accounts created only through X (formerly Twitter) must register a new Nexon member account. One Nexon member account binds to one Blue Archive account, so multiple Japanese saves require separate Nexon member accounts.
Nexon says game data, including paid and free Pyroxene, packages, items and remaining timed-item duration, carries over. Yostar personal data such as name and address does not; in-game greeting, introduction and chat text does. Use serial codes before maintenance. If maintenance exceeds 24 hours and daily-package rewards are missed, Nexon says it is considering extensions or compensation.
The exact maintenance start and end times were still pending the November announcement. Follow the official transfer page, bluearchive.jp notices and Nexon Japan member support rather than relying on an old schedule.
Global and other Nexon regions
For a Global login error, verify the service region, store account and linked Nexon identity. On PC, Steam login requires the Nexon website account; mobile Google or Apple sign-in alone is not sufficient. If a successful sign-in produces an empty tutorial account, stop, do not delete the app, and contact support with the original account details.

Use Wi‑Fi when a large data download is blocked or metered. A VPN used to access a region-locked store is not Nexon’s official repair and may conflict with store or game terms. No publisher-released percentage for crashes, black screens or login failures has been established, so an online “failure rate” should not be treated as an official statistic.

What should I do after an official patch?
Restart once whenever an official notice says a display or data issue was fixed. On October 28, 2026, @Blue_ArchiveJP reported a minor display fix and instructed players to restart so the data download could apply it. A visual glitch immediately after an update is therefore not evidence of a corrupt installation until restart and download completion fail.
Where can I get official help?
Use the service’s own support channel with your region, platform, device model, operating-system version, exact error text and account identifier. Japan notices and contact links are published at bluearchive.jp; the Japan transfer instructions are at the Nexon transfer page. For XIGNCODE3 logs, use the XIGNCODE vendor’s support process rather than modifying anti-cheat files.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I move a Japanese Blue Archive save to the Global server?
No. Japan, Global, Korea and China use separate service environments and account graphs. The January 2027 procedure transfers the Japan service from Yostar to Nexon; it does not merge that save with Global.

An older Yostar notice says Apple-linked accounts cannot log in from Android. Add another supported link while the original device still works, then test that method before switching platforms.
Will the January 2027 Japan transfer require my phone number?
Nexon’s registration instructions say a phone number is not required for a Nexon member account. You still need a completed pre-application and a linked, non-guest game account.
Is the replacement Japanese PC version going to use Steam?
Nexon has said it is preparing a replacement PC environment but has not announced Steam or another platform. The current Yostar PC client remains available only until publisher-change maintenance begins.
What information should I include in a support ticket?
Provide the service region, platform, device and OS versions, linked login method, player name or user ID, exact error text and the time the problem began. Include an XIGNCODE log when that is the displayed error, but never attach passwords or recovery codes.
