How do I block GTA 6 spoilers on X (Twitter)?
X’s native muted-word system is the strongest built-in text filter among the major feeds, but X explicitly says muted words apply to Home and notifications, not search. Images and videos without matching text can still appear.
Set muted words on iPhone
- Open the Notifications tab and tap the gear.
- Choose Muted → Muted words → Add.
- Enter one word or phrase.
- Select Home timeline, Notifications, or both.
- For notifications, choose From anyone rather than only people you do not follow.
- Set duration to Forever, 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days, then save.
Set muted words on desktop
Use More → Settings and privacy → Privacy and safety → Mute and block → Muted words → plus icon. Add the game-name, leak, and ending phrases individually. X’s default duration is Forever; X also documents the 24-hour, 7-day, and 30-day choices.
Switch Home from For you to Following, mute GTA fan and leak accounts, and rely on official Rockstar, PlayStation, or Xbox announcements for download and patch information. Muting does not suppress every alert from an account you follow if you separately enabled that account’s post notifications. Do not use X search for the game until you are spoiler-safe.
Can YouTube thumbnails spoil GTA 6?
Yes. Thumbnails, titles, comments, live chats, and autoplay can reveal story information before a keyword filter has a chance to help. YouTube has no viewer-facing keyword blacklist, so use recommendation controls and history management instead.

They are not official YouTube controls and do not protect the mobile app. A comment-hiding tool such as Shut Up can remove comment sections on supported sites, but it cannot sanitize video pixels or thumbnails.
How do I filter GTA 6 spoilers on TikTok?
TikTok’s consumer control is keyword filtering for the For You and Following feeds, supplemented by Not interested feedback. Menu labels vary by app version and language.
- Open Profile → menu → Settings and privacy → Content preferences → Filter keywords.
- Add GTA 6, GTA VI, GTA6, leak, leaked, ending, cutscene, mission, and relevant hashtags.
- When a GTA clip appears, long-press it and choose Not interested.

Refreshing the For You feed resets recommendations but also removes learned preferences. A clip with no matching caption or hashtag can bypass the filter, and autoplay can show a visual spoiler before you read its text.
What protection do Threads and Instagram provide?
Threads
Threads has a stronger text filter than Instagram. Open Profile → Settings → Privacy → Hidden Words, add game names, hashtags, and leak phrases, and set a time limit if offered. Reporting from TechCrunch and Neowin says Hidden Words can filter feeds, search, profiles, and replies, with an optional limit of up to 30 days.
Instagram’s controls are narrower. When hiding a suggested post, use the option to hide future suggestions whose captions or hashtags contain chosen words, phrases, or emoji. Instagram’s older Hidden Words setting mainly filters comments and message requests on your own content, not every feed item. Accounts you follow can still show GTA posts, and Explore remains risky. For launch week, actively watch non-gaming content and skip Explore rather than assuming a word filter covers the whole app.
How do Bluesky, Facebook, Google, and Snapchat fit into the plan?
Bluesky
Open Settings → Moderation → Muted words & tags, add your broad or precise list, and choose a time period or until unmuted. Include both words and hashtags.
Facebook’s older Keyword Snooze experiment is not reliably documented as a current global filter. The dependable move is to snooze GTA fan pages, people, and groups for 30 days and avoid their video and Reels surfaces.
Google Search and Discover
Google Search has no GTA 6 spoiler filter. In the Google app, turn off Auto-complete searches using trending searches. How do I stop spoilers in Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal?

What can still bypass every spoiler filter?
