The best PC settings in ARC Raiders are native resolution, VSync off, motion blur off, NVIDIA Reflex on when supported, high view distance, and medium or high textures. Lower shadows, post-processing, reflections, and global-illumination resolution first, then use DLSS or FSR if the GPU remains the bottleneck.
No single preset is best for every PC. The right balance changes with resolution, GPU, CPU, VRAM, RAM, drivers, game build, and whether you value clarity, low latency, or maximum FPS.
Key takeaways
- The official ARC Raiders minimum specification is a GTX 1050 Ti, RX 580, or Arc A380 with 12 GB of RAM, while the recommended tier is an RTX 2070, RX 5700 XT, or Arc B570 with 16 GB of RAM.
- Keep native resolution, high view distance, and medium-to-high textures when possible, then reduce shadows, post-processing, reflections, and global-illumination resolution first.
- Use DLSS on supported NVIDIA hardware or FSR on compatible AMD and non-NVIDIA systems, starting with Quality mode at 1080p or 1440p.
- Disable VSync and motion blur for a low-latency starting point, and enable NVIDIA Reflex when supported.
- Frame generation can make movement look smoother, but the displayed FPS increase does not remove the need to test mouse responsiveness and input latency.
- ARC Raiders minimum requirements are a compatibility floor, not a guarantee of 60 FPS or a smooth competitive experience.
What are the best PC settings in ARC Raiders?
The best PC settings in ARC Raiders for a balanced starting point are native monitor resolution, VSync off, motion blur off, NVIDIA Reflex on when supported, high view distance, and medium or high textures. Set shadows, post-processing, reflections, and global-illumination resolution low before lowering resolution or texture quality, then use DLSS or FSR if the GPU remains the bottleneck.

| Setting | Balanced starting value | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Window mode | Exclusive fullscreen; borderless if fullscreen behaves poorly | Use the mode that provides stable behavior and reliable alt-tabbing on the individual PC. |
| Resolution | Monitor native resolution | Preserves sharpness; reduce it only after testing expensive effects and upscaling. |
| VSync | Off | Provides a low-latency starting point; enable it if eliminating visible tearing matters more. |
| Frame-rate limit | Stable target matched to the display | Consistent frame times are more useful than an unstable peak FPS number. |
| Motion blur | Off | Keeps movement and camera pans clearer. |
| NVIDIA Reflex | On, when supported | Reduces the rendering pipeline’s latency on supported NVIDIA hardware. |
| Field of view | 70–80 initially | Balances comfort, visibility, and the amount of scene rendered. |
| View distance | High | Helps preserve distant scene readability and player visibility. |
| Textures | Medium or High | Retains surface detail if the GPU has sufficient VRAM. |
| Anti-aliasing | Medium | A practical image-quality starting point. |
| Shadows | Low | Reduces a relatively expensive visual effect before sacrificing textures. |
| Post-processing | Low or Medium | Reduces processing cost while retaining core scene detail. |
| Effects | Medium | Preserves visual feedback without prioritizing every effect over frame consistency. |
| Reflections | Low | Reduces GPU workload with comparatively limited impact on scene readability. |
| Foliage | Medium | Balances environmental detail and performance. |
| Global illumination resolution | Low | Reduces lighting cost while retaining more important detail elsewhere. |
| Ray-traced global illumination | Static or Disabled when GPU-limited | Prevents ray-traced lighting from causing unstable frame times. |
This combination follows the trade-offs reported in GameSpot’s tested ARC Raiders graphics settings. PCGamesN publishes a higher-quality alternative using DLAA, 100% upscaled resolution, disabled frame generation and VSync, and enabled Reflex; that alternative is better treated as a starting point for a sufficiently powerful PC rather than a maximum-FPS preset.
What are the official ARC Raiders PC requirements?
The official ARC Raiders PC requirements define two hardware classes, but neither class promises a particular FPS target. The official ARC Raiders Steam listing specifies Windows 10 or later, 64-bit and updated, DirectX 12, and broadband internet for both tiers.
| Tier | CPU | Memory | GPU | What the tier means |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 | 12 GB RAM | NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti, AMD RX 580, or Intel Arc A380 | Minimum compatibility class; not a guaranteed smooth or competitive frame rate. |
| Recommended | Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | 16 GB RAM | NVIDIA RTX 2070, AMD RX 5700 XT, or Intel Arc B570 | A stronger starting class for the balanced preset at 1080p or 1440p, subject to testing. |
Do not turn the official minimum or recommended specification into an unsupported “guaranteed 60 FPS” claim. A PC can meet the recommended specification and still experience inconsistent frame times because of resolution, background tasks, drivers, thermals, shader compilation, or a CPU or VRAM limitation.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsWhich ARC Raiders settings should you lower first for more FPS?
Lower shadows, post-processing, reflections, and global-illumination resolution first when the GPU is overloaded. Those changes usually protect texture detail and distant scene readability better than immediately dropping the entire resolution or setting textures to Low.
- Confirm that the GPU is actually the performance bottleneck rather than the CPU, system RAM, VRAM, storage, or a background application.
- Lower ray-traced global illumination from an active mode to Static or Disabled.
- Reduce shadows from High to Low.
- Reduce post-processing and reflections.
- Reduce global-illumination resolution.
- Test an upscaler in Quality mode before using Balanced or Performance.
- Lower textures only if VRAM usage is high, texture streaming is unstable, or visible hitching continues.
- Lower output resolution as a later step if the stable frame rate is still inadequate.
View distance should generally remain High when distant objects, terrain, and players are important to your decisions. A wider field of view can also increase the amount of scene rendered, so maximum FOV is not automatically the best performance or visibility choice. Begin around 70–80 and adjust it for comfort.

Should you use DLSS or FSR in ARC Raiders?
Use DLSS on a supported NVIDIA GPU and FSR on compatible AMD or non-NVIDIA hardware, beginning with Quality or an equivalent high-quality mode when performance allows. Choose the upscaler that gives the clearest distant detail and most stable frame time, not merely the largest FPS counter increase.
| Situation | Recommended approach | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Native resolution is smooth | Keep native resolution, or test DLAA if image quality is the priority on sufficiently powerful NVIDIA hardware. | Edges, foliage, distant objects, and frame-time consistency. |
| GPU-limited at 1080p or 1440p | Use DLSS Quality on supported NVIDIA hardware or FSR Quality on compatible hardware. | Blur, shimmer, ghosting, and loss of distant detail. |
| Quality mode is not fast enough | Try Balanced, then Performance only if necessary. | Whether the higher displayed FPS is worth the softer or less stable image. |
| CPU-limited | Do not expect a major gain from aggressive upscaling. | CPU utilization, frame-time spikes, simulation performance, and background tasks. |
ARC Raiders launched with DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Super Resolution, NVIDIA Reflex, and ray tracing on supported NVIDIA hardware, according to NVIDIA’s ARC Raiders feature documentation. Feature availability still depends on the GPU, driver, game build, and selected rendering options.

Should you turn frame generation on in ARC Raiders?
Turn frame generation on only after the base render rate already feels responsive. Frame generation can increase displayed smoothness, but generated frames do not replace the responsiveness of a strong underlying frame rate; test mouse movement, aiming, and input delay rather than judging the result from the FPS counter alone.
GameSpot reported roughly 50–100 additional displayed frames in its testing, while also warning that frame generation may introduce input delay, particularly for mouse-and-keyboard players. That is test-specific guidance, not a guarantee for every PC. PCGamesN’s baseline keeps DLSS Frame Generation Off, VSync Disabled, NVIDIA Reflex On, and the frame-rate limit Unlimited, reflecting a latency-focused alternative.
NVIDIA states that “NVIDIA Reflex will reduce PC latency by up to 59%, allowing your actions to occur faster in-game, making gameplay feel more responsive,” in Andrew Burnes’s October 30, 2025 NVIDIA GeForce News article. The figure is an NVIDIA vendor claim under NVIDIA’s stated test conditions, not a universal result for every system.

How should you configure ARC Raiders for low input lag?
For a low-latency starting point, disable VSync, disable motion blur, enable NVIDIA Reflex on supported NVIDIA hardware, and cap the frame rate at a level the PC can sustain consistently. Unlimited FPS is an available testing choice, but a stable cap matched to the display can produce steadier frame times on some systems.
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallUse exclusive fullscreen if it behaves reliably. Use borderless fullscreen when exclusive fullscreen causes problems or when quick desktop switching is more important. A high-refresh-rate display is useful only when the PC can sustain a frame rate that the display can show; a monitor upgrade cannot fix CPU or GPU bottlenecks inside the game.
Optional hardware check: A gaming monitor for ARC Raiders is worth considering only when the current display cannot show the stable FPS target your PC already produces. Choose resolution and refresh rate around measured sustained performance rather than buying a display first and expecting the game to run faster.
Which ARC Raiders settings are best for low-end PCs?
Low-end ARC Raiders PCs should prioritize stable frame times: use Low or Medium quality, reduce shadows, post-processing, reflections, and lighting resolution, and use the least aggressive upscaling mode that produces an acceptable image. The official minimum GPU tier is the GTX 1050 Ti, RX 580, or Arc A380, but meeting that tier does not guarantee a smooth competitive experience.
Keep testing textures rather than automatically setting them to the lowest value. Textures primarily consume VRAM, so Medium may be preferable when VRAM headroom exists; if VRAM pressure causes hitching or texture-streaming problems, reduce textures. Keep only the settings that materially improve visibility, such as a usable view distance, if the frame-time budget allows.

What settings suit recommended and high-end PCs?
A recommended-class PC should begin with the balanced preset at 1080p or 1440p, then raise textures, view distance, or effects one at a time. The official recommended GPU class is an RTX 2070, RX 5700 XT, or Arc B570, and ray tracing should remain Static or Disabled if it causes unstable frame times.
A high-end RTX PC can test native resolution or high-quality upscaling, higher textures and view distance, ray tracing, and frame generation. NVIDIA reports a 3.6X average performance multiplication at 4K and a 3X average performance increase at 2560×1440 on RTX 50-series GPUs under its stated max-settings, ray-tracing, DLSS, and Multi Frame Generation test conditions. NVIDIA also reports more than 240 FPS on all GPUs in its 1920×1080 RTX 50-series lineup under those stated conditions. Those measurements do not transfer to every high-end GPU, and they should not be used to predict results for an RTX 2070, RX 5700 XT, GTX 1050 Ti, or other non-equivalent system.
| Hardware situation | Starting strategy | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum-class PC | Low/Medium settings, reduced lighting and reflections, conservative upscaling, stable frame-time target. | That the minimum specification guarantees 60 FPS. |
| Recommended-class PC | Balanced preset at 1080p or 1440p; raise textures and effects individually. | That one guide’s FPS result applies to every CPU, driver, and game build. |
| High-end NVIDIA RTX PC | Native or high-quality upscaling; test ray tracing, Reflex, and frame generation separately. | That NVIDIA’s RTX 50-series measurements apply to other GPU generations. |
How do you fix ARC Raiders stuttering on PC?
ARC Raiders stuttering on PC requires measurement before changing every graphics option. Update the game and the graphics driver, restart the game after major rendering changes, and determine whether the spikes come from the CPU, GPU, VRAM, RAM, background software, shader compilation, storage, or the driver.
- Update ARC Raiders to the current build and install the current graphics driver for the GPU.
- Restart the game after changing major rendering options, especially when shader compilation or asset behavior appears abnormal.
- Change one setting at a time and record average FPS, 1% lows or frame-time consistency, VRAM use, and subjective clarity.
- Check whether lowering resolution changes performance. A small change suggests the system may be CPU-limited rather than GPU-limited.
- Close unnecessary background applications and check system RAM and VRAM pressure.
- Use an SSD where possible. PCGamesN recommends an SSD because mechanical drives can produce long loading times, although the guide says an SSD is not required.
- If stutter continues at Low settings, investigate CPU limits, shader compilation, storage performance, thermals, and driver issues instead of lowering image quality blindly.
Embark’s November 20, 2025 Patch Notes 1.3.0 updated the recommended AMD graphics driver to version 25.11.1 to reduce recent AMD crash issues. That version is historical troubleshooting context, not a universal current driver recommendation; later drivers and game builds may supersede it. Embark’s July 28, 2026 Live Update 1.39.0 notes documented a startup-crash fix and continuing known issues, so check current patch notes when troubleshooting rather than assuming a settings preset fixes every crash or stutter.
Should you upgrade your monitor or graphics card for ARC Raiders?
Upgrade hardware only after measuring the bottleneck. A monitor upgrade helps you display a stable higher frame rate or use a sharper target resolution; a graphics-card upgrade helps when the GPU is consistently saturated and you want higher settings, ray tracing, DLSS, or frame-generation support.

- Consider a graphics card for ARC Raiders when the current GPU is below the official recommended tier or remains GPU-limited after sensible settings changes.
- Consider a gaming monitor when the current panel’s resolution or refresh rate prevents you from benefiting from the stable frame rate the PC already produces.
- Do not treat third-party PC-optimizer software as an ARC Raiders-specific fix. The available evidence supports current drivers, current game patches, and measurement-based troubleshooting, not a unique need for an optimizer.
A practical ARC Raiders tuning checklist
- Start at native resolution with VSync and motion blur disabled.
- Set Reflex to On when supported by the NVIDIA GPU.
- Set FOV around 70–80, then adjust for comfort and visibility.
- Use High view distance and Medium or High textures if VRAM allows.
- Set shadows, reflections, and global-illumination resolution to Low; use Static or Disabled ray-traced global illumination when GPU-limited.
- Use DLSS or FSR Quality if the GPU is still limiting performance.
- Try Balanced or Performance upscaling only after checking blur, shimmer, ghosting, and distant detail.
- Test frame generation only after the base render rate feels responsive.
- Measure average FPS, 1% lows or frame-time consistency, VRAM use, and input feel after each major change.
- Update the game and driver before diagnosing persistent crashes or stutter.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the minimum PC requirements for ARC Raiders?
The official ARC Raiders minimum specification is Windows 10 or later 64-bit, an Intel Core i5-6600K or Ryzen 5 1600, 12 GB of RAM, and a GTX 1050 Ti, RX 580, or Arc A380. The minimum tier indicates compatibility, not a guaranteed FPS target or smooth competitive performance.
Should I use DLSS or FSR in ARC Raiders?
Use DLSS on supported NVIDIA hardware and FSR on compatible AMD or non-NVIDIA systems. Start with Quality mode at 1080p or 1440p, then try Balanced or Performance only when the stable frame rate is otherwise inadequate and the resulting blur or ghosting is acceptable.
Should I turn frame generation on in ARC Raiders?
Frame generation is optional in ARC Raiders. Enable it only after the base render rate already feels responsive, then test mouse and keyboard latency because a higher displayed FPS count can coexist with less responsive input.
How do I fix ARC Raiders stuttering on PC?
For ARC Raiders stuttering on PC, update the game and graphics driver, restart after major rendering changes, and measure CPU, GPU, VRAM, RAM, storage, shader-compilation, and background-process behavior. Lowering every graphics setting is not a reliable fix when the bottleneck is not the GPU.
The Bottom Line
The strongest general-purpose ARC Raiders preset keeps resolution, view distance, and texture detail relatively high while cutting shadows, post-processing, reflections, and expensive lighting. Use DLSS or FSR when GPU-limited, keep VSync and motion blur off for a latency-focused baseline, and judge frame generation by input feel as well as displayed FPS.
